I'm not sure about this, but I think the "updates durations" part of the stacking rule means that when you apply a second stack, the first stack gets its remaining duration reset to 45 seconds?  Worth checking out, at least.

EDIT:  I just ran a quick test on Brainstorm.  It does appear to work like that: I put 100% recharge enhancement in the power (so recharge time was 30s), then clicked it, and stacked three icons in my buff bar, with none of them blinking or anything, at the end of my 1 minute period of clicking every 30 seconds (so, t=0, click once, t=30, click second time, t=60, click third time, three buff icons, none of the icons blinking at any point).

Awesome. So thanks to you and @Lazarus. Means I don't have to do build contortions, just slot sufficient recharge or reach global recharge which is not particularly high.

Thanks to both of you again.

So, one thing I've been pondering.... what "weakness" does Psi Armor have (if any)

  • Ice Armor is weak to Fire
  • Fiery Aura is weak to Cold, and has no knockback protect.
  • Invuln used to be weak to Psi, though that got shored up at least in part.
  • Super Reflexes is great vs a lot, but you tend to get Whomped when you get his.
  • Energy Aura is weaker vs Negative
  • Dark Armor and Electric armor are great for Resists, but have no defense. Electric also has the whole "grounded" bit.
  • Stone has slow movement to deal with, as well as nullifying your costumes in Granite.

What's the "catch" on Psi Armor (if there is one)?

Psi armor is weak to Lethal, toxic, energy/neg energy in that order.

Weak to Lethal, yet easy enough to reach Lethal cap or close to it.

Energy/Negative/Fire/Cold are pretty standard levels.

Right, "weak" to lethal isn't really accurate when I can still cap it with 1 stack of the tank ato.

I think the layered protection with very strong HP+regen, strong resists, strong absorb, and then a decent chunk of defense makes it pretty solid vs everything. It's only real weakness I've found is low debuff protection, which isn't as impactful when you have multiple layers keeping you alive.

I can feel the Slow Resist working well, since it stacks up to 60% (3 stacks of 20%)...not sure I really feel it's Recovery and Endurance Debuff resistance that much.

Love it's Confuse and Fear Resistance and that it has +Perception.

I won't say the set is the most survivable but it does best when it's Aura of Insanity works well (which does better with an attack set that mezzes) but when the enemy is resistant to the mezzing, can be a bit tough.

So far, not sure I think it's that good on Stalkers, but Scrapper, Brute and Tankers I have thought it has done very well.

Yes, completely accurate. When looking at the Dmg Resis numbers, you will see Lethal and the other dmg types I mentioned fall behind.

The recovery and end debuff don't seem to be strong. Malta recovery debuffs eat right through any resistances, but even with that, I feel it's at least the top 5 most survivable armors for Brutes and Scrappers. (Haven't made a tanker yet, but don't doubt it's just as good)

In short, Psi Armor is really worth playing.
