A couple of years ago, when I was more active in the game my toons were part of a handful of SGs. Started out as just joining pick up groups or available LFGs and iTrials. After a while, my toons' character connected to a few tribes of like-minded people. Then, next thing I knew I was part of their SG. There was an all archer one, an all Arachnos VEAT one, a magic themed one, and an all around active SG dedicated to hosting the main TFs and iTrials.

This all happened in-game, and happened quite organically and naturally. That time (not sure if it still applies today) there were several public invites to join SGs. And while one or two evolved into online friendship RL, it was fairly evident that none of us took it too seriously as it was based on a game. So, unless you have a few online friends you're comfortable with, I would leave SG recruitment solely in-game.

Both have their advantages and drawbacks.

Ingame offers you the opportunity to speak with someone you know is active. It is, however, hit and miss in finding a good fit with what your needs are.

Forum listings usually offer a description of the type of group/play they're involved in; as well as contact information. Where forum listings tend to fail is in their unpredictability as to whether or not they are still active.

You might also look in the HC Discord, there's a few sections where people list advertisements for SG's. If you find one that's interesting, you could direct-message their point of contact to ask about it.

since Everlasting is mostly Roleplay and most SGs are roleplay focused even those who run content a lot a good way is to just interact with people and you kinda slowly get dragged in to an SG if you want to or not XD
