Biff Pow Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Shield Defense users have probably noticed that you can't use emotes with your shield equipped. I assumed this was because equipping the shield was implemented as an emote or something, except... When I have fly toggled on, I can use most (not all) of the emotes. I have no idea what causes this, but wonder if it might be a key to making emotes work with Shield Defense. "Spare some emotes for a poor Shield Defense Tank?" 2
tidge Posted August 21 Posted August 21 IIRC, there is an emote stance that can be done first that removes the shield but doesn't detoggle the shield powers... after using that emote, you can perform the other emotes. I can't recall which stance it is, sorry.
ZemX Posted August 21 Posted August 21 There are probably several that might work but I use '/e Idle1' (I assume Idle2 would work as well). I bind it to a macro button on my toolbar and punch that before using other emotes. Obviously, you still have the shield in hand though so whatever motions the next emote puts you though, the shield follows your hand. 1
Starhammer Posted September 3 Posted September 3 My biggest disappointment with this was being unable to use the fly pose emotes with a shield equipped. I wish we could get those added to the flight powers as optional stances instead. 2
Mopery Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Try using ;frustrated, then do whatever emote you can't normally do. Some things like flying and drinking from a special mug will just show up as a styrofoam cup, some emotes won't work, but most will after using that command first. 1 Those times you saw no footprints, I had Fly toggled on.
BZRKR Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I use /em dance and then hit the emote I actually want to do.
