I like the idea of running a human form WS, but the one issue I'm trying to figure out is how to deal with mez effects. Many WS powers require you to get in close to get the best effects. However this often leaves you a target of mez effects and WS don't have any form of mez protection outside the Dwarf form. I guess my question is. How do people usually handle this dilemma?

or you can chase set bonuses which will shorten the time you're mezzed. Better yet, build up ranged def since that's how mez gets you.

I have 2 human PBs and 1 human WS. they don't get mezzed THAT often, a row of purple skittles is usually enough for a day's run.

Chase help from sets as @Six-Six said. I grabbed a human-only WS build from the forums and never had too much trouble with stuns.

 

For the endgame, Clarion.

 

To be clear, I almost exclusively team (rarely solo), so there's usually some help there too (or stuns make less of a difference).

 

I found human-only WS to be fun. 🙂

Ok, so there IS love for human-only Khels here on the forum.

 

When I get them finalized and tested, I'll post my builds to the build thread.

 

After running someone else's build for a human-only PB, I determined the following: Light Form, like every other T9 with a crash, sucks. Won't be chasing that.

But the WS will have the ability for permaclipse. And three fluffies.

Trick to Human Warshade is as follows:

 

1. Get Gravitic Emanation and slot it best you can for duration, recharge, and a KB to KD.  increasing its Range also lets you sweep entire groups easier.

 

2. Stack set bonuses for +Recharge.

 

3. Run Inky Aspect.

 

All you do is hose them with Gravitic which stuns all but Bosses.  Then you hug em with Orbiting and Inky, which stacks Stun from Gravitic to even Stun Bosses.

 

Then it’s just Eclipse, Mire, Quasar, and Gravity Well.  Then keeping as many Essences firing as you can.  Dark Detonation with a KB to KD also does a lot of DPA against full mob groups.

 

Hasten and Spiritual Core Alpha help a lot!

 

I should mention that Shade really relies on bodies to do well.  You will not be soloing +5/x8 with this.  You simply won’t drop them fast enough to heal and extract pets.  But you can usually blender +1/x8 just fine.

 

It’s very active; it can be difficult to play well without using keybinds for siphons and teleports.

@Bill Z Bubba. As with the PB suggestion in the parallel thread, this is the WS version. 

 

Same concept. Same specs. Human form dominant. Not too many tricks, like the PB version. The major difference here is the extension of the Incarnates from a basic Tier 3 Alpha (used on all of the characters I ran this test with) to a more robust, full-spread of Incarnates. Because, prior to the stance-dancing Changeling versions, it was wicked hard to get a WS through this gauntlet with no deaths and very little external help. 

 

I recall that you stated that getting a Warshade through this test, even at 0/8, would be nontrivial. It was entirely nontrivial, and required a lot of focus. Not sure it's a candidate for The Werner Rules, but it sure is wicked fun to watch it operate and claim both the living and the dead.

The WS gets held tho. I prefer my pb but a laaaarge margin.
