Re-discovering an old build

I was tinkering with MIDS trying to make a blaster with the upcoming new difficulties in mind.

 

I decided to try out Ice/Temporal Manipulation. To my surprise I had an old build saved.

 

Then I tried it out on the Beta server. And it was really good. A brain cell finally warmed and I realized I had made this toon on live.

 

And it was level 50, needs a respec and sets, but it was already 50! I have no idea why I mothballed it.

 

What is your, found in the dustbin, that was a pleasant surprise?

I apparently rolled MA/Ninjitsu scrappers twice and also WP/Staff tanks.  All 4 of the characters were in the high 20s.

 

When I finally got around to putting together my spreadsheet and noticed the duplicates, I rerolled one of the scrappers to an EA/Staff tank and one of the tanks to a Staff/Inv scrapper.

I played a troller up to 50 only to discover I'd made the same power set choices on another toon that bored me by the early 40s, because the costume never worked for me.  It;s funny how one reason or another makes a toon really fly for you or not.

There's something special about rediscovering a toon that's been "on the shelf" and then realising it's actually a great option and invigorates your game!

I was going through my roster, looking to delete characters I hadn't played in over a year. One such was an invuln/mace tank. I know I got a ton of levels on it with that first April Fool's event. As such, I just had never really invested much into the character, but when I looked at it closely, I saw it had all the day job badges, which I'd earned on it before the April Fool's event. 

It's a fine tank. No reason to delete it. And it only exists now because logging off/on, moving about, just for day job badges is a tiny bit annoying, I'm keeping it. For now.
