justinos18 Posted Wednesday at 06:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:47 PM Same as me, when I try to login, sometimes I get a error message stating "Lost Connection to DBserver." Assuming something related to a database server. Not sure.
fxds Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM I note the banner here on the forums says there's an issue affecting Everlasting and Excelsior. Sadly, that's not fully accurate. I'm getting the issue on Torchbearer.

Flitze Posted Wednesday at 07:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:10 PM (edited) On Excelsior I can connect but every step like showing the character selection after choosing the server, selecting the character after clicking on it and entering the game is taking like a minute with the PC being pretty blocked by the game during this time. Entering the game fails with "Lost connection to DB server" as experienced already by others. Edited Wednesday at 07:12 PM by Flitze

Unrecognized Posted Wednesday at 07:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:17 PM Oh good, thought it was on my side for a bit. Blasted computer updates.
The ERG Posted Wednesday at 07:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:33 PM They posted in Discord that their hosting services shutdown a core server, but didn't bother to tell them. However, they didn't give an ETA. 2
ActualSuperHero Posted Wednesday at 07:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:46 PM They found a spider in the server room and took care of it like any proper techie would handle a bug. 1 1
Klaymor Posted Wednesday at 07:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:53 PM Woot! More DOUBLE XP time to compensate! 1

The ERG Posted Wednesday at 08:58 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:58 PM quote from discord: @here OVH has brought the server back online after a motherboard replacement. We will begin working on bringing the shards back online now. 2
Banni Posted Wednesday at 09:09 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:09 PM We could be helpful and SPAM "Servers are not online yet" every minute 😄 1
Game Master GM Crumpet Posted Wednesday at 09:14 PM Game Master Posted Wednesday at 09:14 PM Looks like we are sorted guys 2

mechahamham Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM I've been getting these lagspikes about every 10 minutes or so all afternoon and evening. They're long enough that they occasionally give me the 'Disconnected from Mapserver' popup without actually booting me from the server. I'm perfectly willing to blame this on my own network connection, but when my connection is being spotty, it usually just drops a packet or two resulting in singular yellow lines like those on the right-hand side of the netgraph display. I hope that the timestamp is in any way helpful for HC's network troubleshooters. Thank you guys for the HARD work you do! It is appreciated.

A teammate of mine was having problems with this ... meanwhile ... everyone else on the team did not have the problem. We tried to sort out what might be causing it. They were using a Verizon connection through a hotspot and a Starlink connection. I'm unsure how they have it setup to bounce between the two of them when coverage lapses on one of them, but I think they have it setup that way - which might have been part of their issues. Plus the live in a wooded area and there maybe still some snow on the trees and or wet/icy trees that might be interfering with the 4G and/or satellite connections in some weird way. They continued to rubber band throughout the play session. They didn't comment on disconnect messages. For reference, we were teaming on Torchbearer. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
pbwill200 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I still can't get in. Been this way since Wednesday.
