Greenbone Posted Thursday at 01:02 AM Posted Thursday at 01:02 AM Okay, my last post was a bust. 🙂 Maybe this one will get more feedback. Still loving my Elec/Traps Corruptor at Lvl 13, and things are getting serious. Trying to figure out pool powers and my brain goes to Concealment: Stealth + Infiltration, then Flight: Hover for safely planting bombs and positional control in battle (with a tad bit of safety). Is it just smarter to take Speed: Hasten + Superspeed? Is the Stealth as good with this pool? I haven't used Infiltration, but sounds like it gives a speed + jump bonus as well. I just don't know how much for navigating in maps and getting around with the team outside. Is this a min/max or mule decision, or too close, and therefore play style dictated? Thanks as always.
Triumphant Posted Thursday at 03:51 AM Posted Thursday at 03:51 AM Not experienced enough with Corruptors or Traps to give you any specific advice, but I would say this: Worry less about what you think will be most effective and more about what you think will be more fun. The character is only lvl 13 and you're going to get a lot of free respecs as you gain more levels. So, if it turns out you really hate your choice, you'll have plenty of opportunities to respec and make a different choice. Also, don't forget you're going to get alternate build choices on the same toon, so you could go to a trainer, make both choices (a different one on each build) and take them both for a test drive to see which one you like best. 1
Greenbone Posted Thursday at 05:01 AM Author Posted Thursday at 05:01 AM Thank you. I haven't done many respecs, and have had no alternative builds in the past. But I get your point. My original choice, after more research, seems right for me for now. I appreciate the feedback.
Captain Fabulous Posted Thursday at 05:21 AM Posted Thursday at 05:21 AM Not a fan of Infiltration tbh. You can get the same base run and jump with Athletic/Ninja/Beast Run + Sprint, and the stealth with a stealth IO. But if you want to be invisible to make it easier to plant bombs then you can definitely take Stealth. 1
Psyonico Posted Thursday at 02:37 PM Posted Thursday at 02:37 PM You can't place traps while hovering, so I'd skip hover. Infiltration and Super Speed provide the same amount of stealth (about 50%), but Stealth provides full invisibility. Note: you can drop a +stealth IO into infiltration/SS or Sprint to bring them up to full invisibility Hasten is great on traps, since traps are mostly pets, they stack with themselves. So getting multiple Acid Mortars out is *chef's kiss* That being said, my main trappers (bream/traps and traps/DP) both forgo Hasten personally. I like Rune of Protection, so often go Sorcery and leadership pool is also great on support toons, so I often take 2-3 powers from that. 1 What this team needs is more Defenders
Uun Posted Thursday at 05:17 PM Posted Thursday at 05:17 PM You don't need both Stealth and Infiltration. Stealth provides true invisibility (55 ft stealth radius) to all but snipers, Rikti drones, Knives of Artemis, Rularuu eyeballs and few others. Infiltration only provides a 36 ft stealth radius on its own, however, you can slot a +stealth IO directly in Infiltration increasing the stealth radius to 66 ft for true invisibility. I have several characters that use Infiltration as their only travel power, but that requires 2-3 slots to be practical and you will still need a jetpack for some high verticals. If you don't want to use Infiltration for travel, then just take Stealth. If you're willing to use Infiltration for travel, then skip Stealth. The other difference to be aware of is that Stealth has a small amount of defense that doesn't suppress in combat, whereas all of Infiltration's defense suppresses in combat. Uuniverse

Athletic Run can't be enhanced and ignores global run/jump speed bonuses. 1 Uuniverse
