Petless Bane

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to polish off the following build and could use some second opinions. I know venom grenade is a bit of a wonky choice, but it has better -tox than shatter armor, plus it's an AOE with a shorter cooldown.

The goal of the build is to be decently versatile for doing stuff like AE farming and DA street-cleaning, so some tankiness is needed.

Yeah! Just saw that. Definitely saved it. That's a lotta haste though (isn't permahasten only 90% for us, since we have a baseline 20% from meantal training?). And is cardiac necessary for farming, over musculature?

The build is just about perma hasten, and along with capped res, cardiac gives us endurance stability so we can use rebirth for extra tanking we want for the toughest s/l farms.

I've found that boosting everything with /end on it has helped a lot with my previous endurance issues, not sure if you've finished doing that on your build or not.

Definitely gonna have to tweak the slotting on my build, that's for sure...

EDIT: nvm, found what was messing up the stats, it was the force feedback proc

I'm left wondering why you wouldn't want to use Pets as cannon fodder to soak an opening alpha for you so as to let you slip in and knock the block off a primary target for you to take down.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand but I'll try to explain as best I can. Pets drag you out of stealth and the non-MM ones aren't controllable, so once you spawn them in they tend to spend the rest of the instance pulling you out of stealth while you're trying to position to crowd control as many mobs at a time as possible.

Exactly. They are much better for a Soldier/Crab option than a Bane.

Playing CoX is it’s own reward

I'm seeing my pets die quite quickly usually, and am considering dropping them too, there's some situations they're useful, but I'm not sure they're as useful as a different power pick I'm having trouble fitting in like haste, vengeance, or frag grenade, especially since when I need them most is when they die immediately.  I haven't really noticed the problem with stealth mentioned, but that might be because they died.

If you just want an alpha taker, take one of the free P2W shield/buff pets and cast it, they die immediately, but will take the alpha if you were stealthed, and you'll remain stealthed since they don't attack.  They also refresh almost immediately so you'll have it every spawn.
