Rolled a Claws/Ice scrapper, what do?

I've been looking at builds on here lately to try and improve some of my characters. Recently made a Claws/Ice scrapper and couldn't find any guides for that combo so I went to go look at powers in Mids only to find that Ice Armor isn't there for scrappers. I'm wondering if anyone as experience with that powerset combo and could give some advice.  Mainly I'm wondering if there are any powers I should avoid from either set. Thinking of going fighting and leaping, maybe leadership but I have no idea what to take for ancillary power pool.

I don't know anything about the Ice half, but I've played a lot of my Claws/Bio scrapper.

You can skip either Swipe or Strike, but not both. The claws animations and cooldowns are so short that you want as little in your single target or AoE attack chains. At 50 you can probably respec and skip out on Eviscerate as well. It can do pretty decent damage but the animation time is just too long and it is a very small cone. I get better use out of Spin. I've also never selected or used Confront.

For single target, I like Follow up -> Focus -> Slash - Shockwave

For AoE I like Follow Up -> Spin -> Shockwave

Shockwave is amazing with a KB to KD Enhancement in it. I use a single one from Overwhelming Force.

For power pools I've got:

Speed -> Super Speed

Fighting -> Boxing, Tough, Weave

Leaping -> Super Jump, Combat Jumping

Leadership -> Maneuvers, Assault.

I really like having Super Speed and Super Jump. It's a lot of fun and either is situationally useful when speed running TFs.

I ended up with Leadership, even though the numbers for Scrappers are poor, just because I couldn't think of anything I wanted more.

I also skipped an Epic/Patron Pool because none of the damage abilities were going to be as great as what I already had and would just lower my damage by adding them in.

You can't skip both of the level 1 powers !

  You can skip EITHER swipe OR Strike, but not BOTH. IE, he was saying you can choose one or the other but you don't need to take both powers.

 Not trying to be confrontational or anything, I'm just thinking there is a language barrier here and trying to help out a bit.

I keep reading what I wrote. And then what you wrote. And back to what I wrote, and then what someone else wrote and then what you wrote a second time. And they all say the same thing. I'm not sure what you are arguing but for the sake of not shitting over someone else's thread any more than already has happened, lets say you are right about whatever it is.

This is a really neat build. I like all the Winter sets sticking with the ice theme. Lots of hold/immobilize procs. Fanastic survivability with the capped resistance and super defense. I have a couple of questions/suggestions:

You've got Chance for +Recharge in Kick but I'm guessing Kick isn't in your attack rotation?

I'd really, really recommend a Knockback to Knockdown in Shockwave. It's a great AoE and single-target damage but that knockback is annoying for you and extra annoying for the team. Yes, you would lose your six piece defense bonus but I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff.

I tried Armageddon in Eviscerate but I really didn't like how long the animation was compared to the rest of my attacks, even with the extra chance to crit. I ended up moving Armageddon into Spin because of the larger AoE and easier-to-position. It might work better for you with all the lockdown you've got and make it easier to position.

Psionics are really going to hurt. I'd grab the Accolade power clicky that provides some protection there for when you need it.

Looks really cool, I might steal some of it and build a second scrapper!

Yeah.  It's basically there as a mule and not much more.  But it's more useful than taking Boxing and single-slotting something in there.
So, maybe every now and again, you cherry-tap someone with Kick.

One word: TANK.

You want ALL THE AGGRO.
You want them all up in your grill so Icicles is doing maximum possible damage and Spin is hitting the maximum number of people.
Slotting for KB (not KD) is counter-productive.
Oh yeah, and so your teammates can just land AoEs right on your head.
Also, not that the WinterO in Shockwave *IS* a "Chance to Knockdown".

I don't really run into unalloyed Psi that much.
And yeah, Watchman is a great clicky power.

Since I'm not at all used to the Winter-Os, I think we agree but might be misunderstanding each other.

You've got Avalanche's Chance for Knockdown in Icicles. I get his 100%. Keep enemies close by knocking them down.

But Shockwave on it's own has a decent knockback which is counter to all the PBAoE in the set, using a KB to KD in Shockwave helps keeps those guys close.
