i used banished pantheon on my dark/dark controller and it went well, but it's the only lore i've used so i can't say how it compares with others

Picked this up from somewhere in the forums or discord. Nice slightly updated guide as opposed to the wiki:

Although personally, I tend to go thematic with my lore pets and forego the most DPS or buffs. I don't like demons (even though I think Banished Pantheon brings the most destruction) and such because my toon is just a regular guy with a gun -- I didn't even pick Epic Power Pools for him. Besides, I don't really depend on them. they're just there for flavour. 😃

For single target: Vanguard core. Can't argue with -500% Regen which the big robot throws out constantly.

For AoE/farming: BanPan radial. The boss will die, but the LT is untouchable and will keep buffing you and throwing out a rain AoE which adds up nicely. And if you keep the boss alive, he throws out a big AoE cone (I think) all the time too.

One other way to get a feel for it.  Go to the Beta Server (Justin), spin up a character, level him up to 50 with the "/" command, then craft a T4 version of the ones you are curious about.  The whole thing takes about 20 minutes to get to that point (due to having to choose powers, and slots to fill out the L50 set by the slash command).  Crafting Incarnate powers is free (as is pretty much everything else), and is really quick.  So, you can test out whatever you like!  I have been doing that for builds, and testing out Incarnate stuff I was curious about, but didn't have the time to explore on live.  This test server is like a real-time version of the Mids builder, where you can build what you want, THEN go test it out!  It's awesome!
