  1. Many congrats!
  2. Many congrats!
  3. Hope it was a fun run, work is gonna dominate the better part of the year.... Every weekend is a coin flip for me.
  4. @Bananiac I'm in the middle of the country. So this week it's mostly cold temps and snow packed roads from last week. Headed home early this morning to skip the snow this afternoon. Back at the keyboard.
  5. Speaking of the holidays, Happy Christmas to all the Theme Teamers and whole CoH community.
  6. I will probably be traveling on Saturday, so I won't be available.
  7. I will probably be busy around noon this Saturday for a pesky NFL game
  8. Too lazy to see how many have signed up. But the odl SD/Dark tanker is in Striga ready to roll.
  9. If I am around I will bring Captain Jax, my Necro/Dark.
  10. Is this the one where you have to defeat the 4 shields gens at the same time, then shoot the hydra with a temp gun? Rinse and repeat until defeated? That probably would take a larger team
  11. +1 for Rich. I'm leaving the state again tomorrow but bringing a laptop this time. I don't think I can join on this Saturday at the normal time, but I might try and be online earlier. I also might stay up all night the night before and sleep through everything.
  12. My Claws/Fire Scrapper has 70% global recharge and Obliteration slotted in Burn. Just under 10 seconds recharge in Page 4, over 17 seconds in Page 5. Add on not having enough taunt to stop mobs from fleeing, it's an interesting power solo. Fine on EBs. But won't be part of an attack rotation. I think powers 'feeling' fun is just as important as how effective they truly are. While it has been a bit since i regularly played the Claws/Fire Scrapper, the over 15 second recharge has me not using it on every spawn, which makes me less likely to use it on any spawns. Doing Ouro missions at level 45. Leveling I don't think I would invest slots into Burn.
  13. I think the big design difference is Burn is part of the Armor Set not a melee power set. The offensive addition is what defined Fiery Aura. I get comparing it to another PBAoE, but it seems like it was supposed to stand out offensively. (playstyle wise, I prefer a shorter recharge, even that requires a lowering of damage, which would not be popular) Now I feel like I could play Radiation Armor and proc out the secondary for damage instead of playing Fiery Aura.
  14. On Beta, with Hasten/Ageless + 85ish% global recharge and an ATO set slotted in Burn, it's recharging in just over 11 seconds on my Brute I copied over for page 4 testing. The power really feels like with it on auto you should be able to always have a Burn patch running. That's not the case at 45 second recharge. I tend to use the power as a boss killer with the front loaded damage, it's less useful for that as is. I'd probably even change the power I have set to auto fire on some farmers. Burn in PvE non farming situations seems to be able to clear minions and lts fine, slows me down on bosses. Makes me not want to fire it bosses are low, since it might not be ready for the next spawn.... Not campaigning for the 25 second recharge, but 45 feels too high. Maybe there's some interaction with Fiery Embrace to help recharge one other the powers, or another mechanic. To take Burn on a non farming build, Hasten feels almost mandatory. That makes either the power feel situational or not really a 'core' part of the set anymore.
  15. I think there already exist power sets that have substantial power advantages in the early/mid game versus other power sets. If a core power in your build is not available until 38 and not slotted until 40. It's uninteresting. I know exactly when I take it and slot it. The change certainly makes me wish there was an easier respec method where I could drag and drop slotted powers to different 'levels'. Having a 'core'/'fun' power available 4-8 levels sooner sounds rather enjoyable. Any real power creep is more built around exemp'ing with tons of slots and sets. And I do see Synapse and Yin being 'easier' point forward. But I aslo see offensive tanks being more fun to level by playing, and some buff/debuff secondaries leveling smoother. Pets at 26, yes please. For myself, I think this change makes me more inclined to some of the lower content on specific Alts. But in the long run, opening the Epic/Patron pools faster might actually create more interesting build options. More choices/decisions on building new Alts, or just how to level them is terrific IMO.
  16. I can try and be around, on call this week so see how the week goes.
  17. I'll be there on Widow Jax in some underwater goodness.
  18. Since there's not much control for the mini Hami I'll bring Legacy Jax Fire/TA Controller
  19. Mark me down for Echo Dragon Elec/Time Corruptor - I'm a Dragon Fruit, that's a real thing you can look up, trust me. 🙂
  20. Looking to join, not sure which alt to use. Kinda want to bring something strong for the harder level 50 stuff.
  21. I have company tonight, but if I am free I will join with Tano Jax my Ice/Fire Blaster.
  22. If i'm awake i shall bring Jax Dredd, Dual Pistol/Traps Corruptor!
  23. If you are so inclined to run 2 Hami Raids a day on an alt that is 120 merits. And you aren't probably gaining a vet level doing that. I would say converting 5 to 10 Emp merits a day isn't out of line from other ways of accessing merits. Perhaps once per day you could convert 5 Emp Merits to 1 Hero merit, so it would be limited to 1 transaction. Could add a 500k inf price to it possibly.
  24. I must say this sounds a lot worse than not getting Vet Level XP in AE. Sure it would be harder to level a new farmer, but if you know exactly what incarnate powers you want, the rest of the Emp merits can go towards merits. I find getting the merits/inf for a powerful build more troublesome than getting my incarnates unlocked. And for players that don't care for end game content, this change makes Emp merits practically useless.
