    I don't know that we need OP's suggestion, but this is a bit hyper...bolic.

     

    Again, you're still maintaining a separate code base for something that's easily ignored.

    I'm not a huge fan of actually DOING this, but saying it would require a seperate code base is hyperbole. I'm sure it could be implemented as a setting in some sort of config file somewhere.

    5) If I wanted more endurance management until I could get ageless destiny, here's what I'd do: drop the soul mastery tree in favor of the body mastery tree, put 2 slots into stamina for end mods (+ take conserve power and physical perfection, the latter which I'd put a performance shifter proc), and that should cover it reasonably well until ageless.

     

    Hope this helps.

     

    Honestly, I'd drop the Panacea proc into health and steal a slot away from something to to keep the 5-slot in DP.

    1: If you're going to skip Rage because of the Defense crash, just pick another set entirely.  SS without it is a visually interesting, and completely "meh" set without it.  "Cutting your nose off to spite your face."

     

    2: Build for better Defenses and Resists so the crash doesn't hit you as hard.

     

    3: Build for better Recharge so you can have Rage Double-stacked and doing max damage, killing your enemies off fastest and thus not caring about the crash when it comes because your foes are naught but gross stains on the walls and floor.

     

    I know, I'm like a broken record around here, urging people to take paths other than gerrymandering the game for maximum powergaming.

    But Dark Watcher's droopy buttocks people!  The game's been back what?  A MONTH?

     

    Maybe think about getting back into the groove before suggesting "Everything should change"?

    Won't speak for the devs.  But it will PROBABLY be a diplomatic, but hard "no".

  8. BUT, poll any number of people and the answer to which Defenders they'd prefer to team with most is probably not FF or Sonic, those are very far down the list.

     

    Maybe it's just my inner jerkface talking.  But I really don't CARE what others' "preference" is.

     

    If people haven't learned how to slot in ANYTHING and use it properly at this point...well...I stopped headbutting every monolith I came across year ago.

     

    This is a problem of usability in a game that doesn't favor the use of these two sets anymore.

     

    You've said it yourself.  The problem is with the people, not the power set.

     

    You could fight a long exhausting battle trying to convince people of what they should want, or you can just give them what they actually want and hopefully find a way not to sacrifice what you love to do it.

     

     

    That's just it.  I don't feel the need to pander to people who simply can't wrap their head around the set.

    Basically, if it's capped with your Alpha on, it's fine.

     

    I'm more inclined to simply bump the Resists underneath.

  10. FF is a Tankfender primary with a mix of hard and medium control (Detention field and the various KB/Repel).

    Simply because some people don't know how to harness the medium controls, and others can't appreciate those that DO is no reason to jack around with the set.

  11. Doc Q is one of the TFs that's benefitted the most from the advanced travel options (ATT, Team Transport, etc).

    A decent team can knock one out at a lesiurely pace of about 2 hours.

    A well built team looking to speed can buzzsaw through in about an hour.

     

    ESPECIALLY lucrative when it's the WTF!

  12. Fire, Elec, Rad and Dark are nice Resist sets (even though Dark ALSO brings some Defense)

    It's actually fairly easy to cap out all but one or two of your Resist stats.

    If you find yourself needing more defense, this is what your Incarnate shield or your Hybrid are for.  They'll get you over "the hump".

     

    And if you get Defense debuffed?

    Scream like a little girl as they come in, then set Phasers to BEATDOWN as you're a Resist-centric tank and they should be flogged mercilessly for forgetting this fact!

     

    Dark makes it fairly easy to layer on Defense as well.  So, like Invuln, WP, Stone, these are decent "hybrid" sets.

     

    Primarily Defense-centric Tanks work well too.  Just, expect them to "eggshell" every now and again as they're trading damage AMELIORATION for damage AVOIDANCE.

     

    I wish I could recommend Stone more.  However, with the expanded IO offerings, it''s VERY hard to make a case for Stone armor anymore.

    You can build several tanks to 99.99% of the toughness of a Granite tank for the entirety of the game, including +4x8 Incarnate content.

     

    But every other tank is running around with the rather crippling tradeoffs Stone makes for it's toughness.

    Now don't get me wrong.  A kitted out Stoner is a thing of absolute beauty, and generally the gold standard for Immortality.

    I mean HELL!  Properly built, you can softcap both typed Defenses AND Resists while running JUST:

     

    * Stone Skin

    * Earth's Embrace

    * Mud Pots

    * Rooted

    * Hasten

    * Granite Armor

    * Agility Core Paragon

     

    With an End Drain of 0.75/sec (with Recovery at 3.6/sec)

    With Regen at 456%

    With Recharge at 71.3%
