  1. Ice is great for Defense.  But if you crack the Defense, it can eggshell nastily.

    So, while you should build towards soft-cap, always look at Resistance buffage too.

     

    Here's an example.  It's kinda ridiculously uber-buff (Incarnate soft-cap to S/L and standard Soft-Cap to everything else.

    And, even though it doesn't REALLY need it, it's got multiple Recovery options (Energy Absorption, Conserve Power).

  2. 1: You don't need +Acc in Taunt.  Taunt is auto-hit for Tanks in PVE.

    2: With Rage, you want to max it's Recharge out ASAP.  The +ToHit is less important when you're running Rage Double-stacked.

    3: You've gone overboard selecting Teleport powers.  You've missed your damage Aura (Mud Pots) and your mez protection (Rooted).  As well as some armor Rock Armor).

    4: And Teleport itself is all you REALLY need (though Recall Friend is nice), but doesn't need to be taken until either just before or just after Rooted.

  5. Move the Steadfast into Unyielding.

    Sure, it won't exemp as low.  But it'll bump your Resists a fraction.

    Recommend converting the 4-slot LOTG in Invincibility to 4-slot Shield Wall.

    The +E/N Resist will be more useful than the +Acc.

    Also, look at using Enhancement Boosters on any generic or non-enhanced IO sets.

     

    I'd also look at my build for power selection order.  It'll produce a generally better-exemping Tank than your choice order will.

  7. "Pure Healing"/"Pure Healer"

     

    A phrase that is like strapping me into a chair and forcing me to listen to a thousand solid hours of nails on a chalkboard...

     

    I can understand wanting to know what sets provide the best or most stable ally heals.

     

    But I find the "pure" concept an absolute waste.  Mainly because EVERY character in this game can DPS, Tank and Heal.

    And since the others on your teams are bringing mutiple aspects to the game, what're you offering?

    Heals and not much else...

  8. Doing any meet/greets a little more West in the country?

     

    I used to go to the ones in SF.

     

    Unfortunately no.  I'm pretty much Midwest-based.  And Origins and GenCon eat up most of my "vacation" time from my regular job.

    The only reason I was able to make it to the last "Player's Summit" was because it was announced REALLY far in advance.  So I could plan time for it, and pick up tickets on the cheap.

     

    However, there's nothing stopping YOU, or others, from tossing a M&G together.  Either by itself, or around another event where lots of people from out-of-town will be coming through anyhow.

  9. Surprised that you didn't put in a Gladiator's Armor 3% Def in your build, especially since you are 5 points short of the En/Neg def cap. I'd value that over the +res 5% from Shield Wall, myself. You'd still hit the S/L resist cap without it, and you could possibly reslot to lose some of the excess F/C def and gain some slots back. (Also, I'm assuming that you actually wanted Membrane Exposures in Build Up rather that Cytoskeleton Exposures, since they have the same to-hit buff, and the Membranes have recharge reduction as well.)

     

    Good catch!  I missed it because your power-order was a bit...weird for how I normally arrange them.

    And it's not JUST about hitting S/L Resist cap.

    Ideally you want to bring your Resists up as well.  This way anything bypassing your Defenses does as little damage as possible.

  10. The answer is "Yes you can".

    If you're trying to max your +Rech, you're likely better off WITH than without.

    But, if you're simply trying to squeeze a couple extra powers in?  Yeah.  It'll work.

     

    The thing is, the ability to soft-cap is actually more dependent on you SECONDARY than it is on your primary.

     

    Also, your attack chain is a bit too long for the amount of slots  So it might be a good idea to shorten it up and take some ancillary powers.

    Combat jumping, Hasten.

    Hell, even Recall Friend could be useful in Tanker-Stealth missions (run through and TP your teammates into the final room).

    -8 will allow you to effectively tank about 90% of the game.

    No matter how much you slot, Reichsman is still going to bounce you around.

    If you have two slots for -KB IOs, you REALLY don't need Acrobatics (and I've always viewed the power as a waste of a pick and slots).
