Or even when they are disintegrated they actually... well... you know... disintegrate

Does the game do this for *any* special type of defeat, though?  The only I can think of is how the MM demon pets will sometimes do the "clawing at the ground as they are dragged back down" animation, but I think that's only if you intentionally unsummon them...

the more I think about it that annoying left to right arc seems lacklustre, and the ST attacks, whilst competent, aren't exactly setting the world (or anything else for that matter) on fire

You are pointing a pew pew at enemies and pulling the trigger.  What did you expect it to do?  I'm surprised it looks more like a tesla gun or something than a more coalesced energy beam, tbh...

  3. I think the best solution would be to offer some more form-fitting buckler-like wrist/forearm-mounted shields, like the pic of Captain America with the Wakandan shield.  We kind of already have a version in the dark knight, (or whatever it's called), glove option.  Since shield tankers, brutes, scrappers, and stalkers can already fire various ranged attacks via their APPs/PPPs, there is already some method of achieving this, so you'd just need to restrict some sets, like archery, DP, AR, and BR, in order to make things work a bit more smoothly...

  4. From an aesthetic standpoint, I really like the Rularuu Watchers for their unique appearances.  The Malta Hercules and Zeus class titans are very cool and the ability for the former to merge into the latter was quite exciting when they were first introduced.  I'm kind of sick of it now, but the first time a Council soldier transformed into a Warwolf, I was like "oh wow that is so cool!"  Seeing a Longbow Cataphract or Vanguard HVAS, or even the War Walker or MM Robots drop in their crates, deploy, or otherwise do their airborne landing was also very cool, as was the Thugs brute riding in on his chopper!  I think a big part of it is the novelty and circumstances of their introductions...

AI assisted coding is a bad idea, but AI can still be a good tool to use to improve aspects of games which people are already familiar with, like procedural generation and enemy behaviors.

Yeah - I could see something like a post-processing plugin that improves texture quality, or maybe adds things like facial animations or more elaborate power FX...

  6. I don't think a new non-marvel/non-dc superhero mmorpg would generate significant enough income to be economically viable in 2025.  Even if they made it F2P, that'd entail significant microtransactions or other such pay-walling, which, IMHO, is highly undesirable for the pre-existing dedicated, (albeit fairly small), playerbase, and that's assuming such a sequel would be true to the lore, which in turn would require a fairly large learning curve for the uninitiated...

  7. Frankly, while I'm not against the idea in general, all you'd get would be people visiting Null to switch, but only if these new TFs/SFs are worthwhile, otherwise it'll just be unused content.  It'd have to contain some very compelling content or have exceptional rewards per time invested to get many people to participate...

I don't remember where it is, but on your account there is a place where all the images you have uploaded are stored. You may be at your limit and need to delete some.

Apparently it's a known issue, see here.

I wanted to suggest a costume for women characters from the early 1900s. I think it would be fun to have that as an option.

Are you talking turn of the century, maybe the flapper styles of the 1920s, or even later like 1940s-1950s styles?  It's a pretty broad range, TBH, but I think @Bionic_Flea has it right that there are likely already existing pieces you could utilize...

  10. I made sure I have enough space for attachments on my forum account, but whenever I try to upload an image to a post, I get a "There was a problem uploading the file" error.  I checked my firewall settings and my DL/UL speeds are ok.  I've tried a few different images but the issue persists.  I've tried rebooting my pc and modem/router, updating Windows and my drivers, etc, but it's still happening.  Any ideas or suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

I'm just looking for some creative build ideas for such a concept

I'd go with a sentinel, likely something like energy blast and invulnerability.  If you wanted to throw in some melee attacks as well, go with mace or ninja tool mastery for a weapon, or just fighting for some punches.

  12. I think it's a fairly simple if-then routine with some tweaking for entity type and other situational factors.  For instance, are they in melee range or not?  If in melee range, check for available melee attacks.  If one is available, use it.  If not, check for available ranged attacks.  If neither a ranged attack nor a melee attack are available, either run or remain, depending upon critter behavior and whether they have been taunted or not.  As to which specific attack an enemy might use, that I cannot say, but I think it defaults to a ranged attack, (going strictly by my anecdotal experience)...  You'd need someone far more familiar with the game's code to tell you for certain, but it isn't any sort of complex AI or anything)...

No, because the discussion is valid without needing to explain how everyone might choose to explain it for their characters. Maybe it's invisible due to a stealth field, maybe it gets summoned in with a portal, maybe it's nano-tech forming it as needed. None of that is relevant unless we can actually get the option made available, and even if we do get it, it's only as relevant as a player that uses it chooses to make it. If someone chooses not to explain it at all and leaves it a mystery, then that's fine. YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS. Period. End of story.

I think you're confusing an in-game justification with an out of game one.  Out of game, sure, you can say "I just don't want to see the crab backpack", and that's fine.  In-universe, you bet there's going to be some explanation, and that's included with things like power descriptions.  They may not describe the exact how or why, just that it "does".  For example, take the description of the MM primary, Necromancy:

"Command the forces of Death. Necromancy allows you to summon undead henchmen to do your bidding. Some Necromancy powers can even grant your undead henchmen additional powers. Most Undead Henchmen generally have good resistances to Cold, Negative Energy, and Psionic damage as well as Sleep, Fear and Disorient. Undead Henchmen cannot be resurrected."

It doesn't explain the exact mechanism by which you "command the forces of death", just that you do.  Similarly, my explanation of the hidden backpack is that you are cloaking it or otherwise it isn't there when you don't want it there, and instantly available when you do, and if you could somehow travel into the world of the game and ask your character, they'd be able to offer some explanation, ("it's linked to a neural implant that senses when I need it and teleports it directly onto my back")...
