  1. SR is a scalpel and Nin is a swiss army knife;  One does one thing exceptionally well, while the other has a multitude of tricks up its sleeve.  Personally, I love the Sentinel and Scrapper version of Nin better than the Stalker one, but to skip those tools leaves you with basically half a set...

The only "aura" that my character has got on that might do this is Evolving Armor. And I don't care to turn it off and on again all the time. I shouldn't have to. But even before I learned that power my tanker used to aggravate mobs much farther out than my scrapper.

Since you mentioned Bio Armor, are you sure that you don't have Genetic Contamination toggled on?  I feel like there's some part of the equation that is missing, here...

  3. Maybe it's just me, but besides some background NPCs in labcoats in some of the Portal Corps interiors, who do they actually employ?  Do they have their own security forces?  We have what appears to be US Military in the Shadow Shard, but surely Portal Corps would have access to units similar to the PPD, or maybe even Vanguard.  I'd love to see some of that kind of stuff implemented...

Mechanics would rule out willpower, leaving invul.  I think EA is a better fit, but you are right there were never auras. Maybe chalk it up to low budget television and use EA anyway?  😅

When you comes right down to it, play what you love.  Frankly, I'm more impressed by those that can put together a cohesive look and build/play competently than what particular powersets they chose...

I would think Energy Aura - like - the suit is the energy powered armor.

From a mechanics standpoint, absolutely, but in how the Rangers are presented, it's more like invuln or willpower, as there's generally not the kind of energy spheres you get with energy aura...

MA/SR is almost too classic to pass up

The thing is, Power Rangers get hit all the time, so /SR doesn't seem like the correct armor set to give them...

Champions Online will get several releases per year of content!  I imagine, for Champions Online at least, that they will be small releases, but better than maintenance mode.

The problem with CO, and we're seeing this in Fallout 76 as well, is that after they've made the initial investment into the main world/zones, everything after basically boils down to instanced content;  They don't want to make significant changes to the main world space, and there's this almost pathological hatred of revamping the old content to update old enemies as new powersets or mechanics are released.  Everything has either been lockboxes or alerts, (small per-team instanced events that use sections of existing maps).  They tried what is essentially their version of taskforces, but those petered out early in the game's life.

I kinda hate that we have to wait for these significant revamps, often completely changing the feel of the set.
When a few numbers tweak would likely do the trick.

    i.e.

    Imagine /regen with:

    - 30s base recharge on Reconstruction rather than 60s. Fastest recharging selfheal. Addresses the "if you don't have any buttons you're dead"

    - fully enhanceable regeneration on Integration and IH, rather than 2/3rd. No reason for this awkward 2/3rd in this day and age.

    - increase Moment of Glory duration from 15s to 20s. This makes up for the very long 3s animation.

TBH, I don't think that is enough.  I think you need the absorb like sentinels get and permanent extra HP to increase the threshold before you are defeated.  Further, maybe you need something like a potent self heal that automatically kicks in when you get low in health.

It's just sad to see such a binary set.

For melee ATs, yeah - if incoming damage > regen rate, you lose, otherwise you win.  That being said, it does benefit greatly from stacking other forms of mitigation, but that's still of little comfort given that requires investing multiple power picks or spending lots of inf on set bonuses...

    It hurts.
I just like how its one toggle and buttons but if you don't have the buttons you dead.

I hear ya.  If it's any consolation, the sentinel version of regen is actually pretty good.

The whips are flamey and there's already a Fire Assault set.

While they may appear to be fiery, they actually deal toxic damage and are described as "hellfire" and causing corruption, so it could work as part of a toxic assault assault set...

they lack the speed to keep up with the MM even while the MM is using absolutely nothing to improve their speed

The henchmen need, for lack of a better term, their reaction speed increased with regards to how and when they follow, or the distance before they start following reduced.  If you summon your minions then start moving, they won't follow until you've moved beyond a certain distance.  They need to move WITH you, in lock step, not after you've moved a good distance away.

It seems to be a long-standing, well known fact that THE coolest melee powerset, Kinetic Melee, is underpowered.

When you say "well known fact", could you elaborate upon what you mean?  I believe others have checked and the animation times are roughly on par with other sets, and they just feel longer...

  14. The problem, IMHO, isn't how fast or slow pets are, it's that they kind of lag behind in terms of when and how they follow the MM;  They need a "hard leash" where they get dragged along as the MM moves.  In short, MMs need a "follow distance" command, where they can force their minions to stay within 10', 20', etc, regardless of anything else.

  15. Since the bonuses cap at 5 of the same type, what if, instead of giving teleport some defense to slot LotG, they added a teleport IO set that included a similar bonus with the exact same values, so you could get the bonus, they wouldn't need to muck about with the power, and you'd still be capped to 5 of the global recharge bonuses since they'd have identical buffs.
