  1. I can say what I dont like.. Archery.. I tried it.. it wasnt bad.. but I liked in on a blaster much better. mainly because of the tactical arrow Secondary Sonic.. Dont play ANY sonic sets.. I play with headphones and the noise is annoying. AR.. Ive been looking at possibly making one.. but again.. Blasters getting the Rocket LRM is too good to pass up for me.. NRG.. I REALLY REALLY, wanted to like this.. I wanted an Nrg/Nrg Sentinel so badly.. but that slow as hell Focused Power Blast irritated the HELL out of me.. just slowed down the whole attack chain.. Ice.. Didnt like it as first.. but I have an infinity for Ice themed characters and powers.. I made an Ice/Invlun and it works ok. Psi.. I made one.. but PSI is heavily resisted in the end game by a lot of enemies..
  2. Still waiting for those non skull animations for Psi..
  3. I dont know if there is any other way than real Data Mining to show what is the least popular primary. Opinions will definitely vary. Since most people have multiple characters even with an AT, just because something is not seen being played isnt an accurate representation. My advice.. Play whatever you want. Make whatever you want and dont worrk about what is and isnt played..
  4. The first rule of Electric Blast Club.. is that we dont talk about Electric Blast Club
  5. It would be nice, however i think the Sentinel has gotten such a bad rep over the years that it will be hard for many to accept it as a viable option. It will always be in the " doesnt do as much damage as a blaster " and " doesnt debuff like a corruptor " category. And on many of the so called " high level " teams they arent even wanted. Now that being said.. I enjoy them. I play them all the time. I have a lot of Sentinel builds and will probably make even more. And I never stop trying to tell people to try one.. I think the best thing Sentintel players can do.. Play.. Show up and Show out. Show people how awesome the AT can be...
  6. So far I have tried the changes on test on most of my Sentinel build and have found them to be exacty what you describe " being enough but not TOO much " it definitely smooths out the " feel " of the set. My only hope is that at some point they revisit the " Chance for Absorb " and the '' Chance for Opprotunity " Procs in the ATOs because they dont do much at all. It would be nice if they worked somewhat like the Scrapper ATO.. buffing the chance to crit a little bit... or a chance to buff damage a little bit.. SOMETHING other than the garbage it is now. The Chance to Absorb USED to be good when you placed it in a Nuke and it gave you a nice absorb shield every now and then. But so far so good.. now.. I dont think it will make anyone start playing Sentinels more.. but for those of us that do its a nice little buff.
  7. I need to see if there are any animation changes.,.
  8. MY issue isnt the power changes its the change in the Enhancement sets that create an issue for me.. I'll have to try and figure it out where I can keep the recharge I like and the defenses in the build as well. I'll just have to find a way around it. I do have admit I am finding it kind of bothersome to have to rework entire builds that I have dialed in and gotten used to over the years.. but such is progress..
  9. If you think that these decisions are being made by " five " people, then I really dont know what to tell you. Its like you dont think that the devs can see data, that they dont test the data themselves to validate it, and make rational decisions.. Also If you dont believe that they dont take the opinions of people based on how something feels and its not just people on the forums. Its people in the discord, it people who are part of the closed beta team, and then things go to OPEN beta to get a wide difference of opinions across the diaspora of users from the min/maxers to the casual players. Ifs got to be extremely challenging to find a middle ground that appeals to everyone.. And this is why I say.. rather than complain about the perception of others, and their influence.. Go test.. play and post YOUR results.. whether they be pylon times, or just your playing experience.. That helps more than lashing out..
  10. This change kind of concerns me as it forces a build change to enhancements which means I have to change my entire build. I have +5 Purple IOs in a power that are now useless in a power I got good use out of. I could place them in Lightning Clap, but not power is exclusive from Thunderstrike which I like.. Well time to adapt again..
  11. I'll repeat. This is the whole point of testing. Pylon times have been used pretty regularly to test powers across the board for a very long period of time. Let everything play out. Obviously the Devs see have seen enough information and enough data, to want to take a longer look at it to get things within a range that its a balanced benefit for all. Rather than complain.. Test.. provide data and feedback. Always the best option..
  12. People who are actually testing are seeing things that are potential issues.. that the WHOLE POINT of testing.. to release the best possible option..
  13. Personally I hated those changes. I loved the way my character was and I didnt like being shoehorned into a different style of play that I was very accustomed to. I also didnt like the changes to Icy Bastion. I have been and will continue to be a fan of creating TWO T9s as options.. one that is stronger with some kind of crash ( although not as severe ) that great simulates that comic book feel of being uber powerful and then extremely exhausted, and then a second option which is not as strong, but can be used more often without the horrible crash.. There is no real reason why there cannot be two options..
  14. Here is the problem I see with that equation. My Shield/SS tank has 56% defense.. so even with 10% he is still at the Softcap for defense.. for content on his level. As I understand it Resistance is a hard cap.. Once you reach the cap thats it. building more in doesnt matter. 20% more damage hurts when your set is resistance based. Its probably manageable in most cases.. but defense sets WILL get hurt by it less.
  15. A Sentinel can be whatever you need it to be... only limited by power choice and imagination.
  16. The biggest issue that I see with the aggressive -res debuff is that it effects Resistance based powerset A LOT harder.. Good defense sets can just build in extra defense halping them to ignore the -Def debuff. An SR/SS canl easily build over the soft cap and the _def wont hurt nearly as much. This would make Res based build in general lean toward Unleashed might which looks like it under performs a double stacked rage.. The simplest thing to me is to roll back the hit on Resist based builds and possibly add something else.. a recovery debuff.. maybe a small -to hit debuff... something other than Resist based characters just taking more damage..
  17. Honest question.. do you actually PLAY Sentinels ?
  18. Agreed the activation time on both these powers is too long.
  19. So let me see if I have this rundown ok.. I have a few SS characters SS/Energy Brute who does get hit kind f hard with the rage crash might be better off with Unleashed Might. He will lose the benefit of double stacked rage but will get a touch more damage and have better survival in the long run. WP/SS tank probably wont notice the new rage crash penalty as much because he heals really fast in most cases. Shield/SS Tank might should be fine with Rage Crash as his HP cap and Defense cap is higher than the brutes. Could drop OWTS which is barely slotted pick up Ulenashed Might and the Handclap with damage which would give him three AoE attack on a tank would be nice.. Elec/SS tank looks like the odd man out with these changes to rage.. Since he has very little defense the - res would really hurt him big time meaning he might need to lean on his heals and the T9 a lot more than normal, and the new T9 IMO isnt as good as the old one. BUT It might be time to make that Fire Armor/SS Tank or Brute Ive been mulling about for a while with the changes to Fire Armor and SS Unleashed might.. Having a Damage Aura. Burn, Footstomp and Handclap is an AoE monster in the making !!!!
  20. The last few updates have brought some major sweeping changes—some I’ve appreciated, and others I really didn’t care for. In particular, the T9 changes. I liked my builds the way they were, and I had specific setups in place to manage the crashes in a way that felt reasonable. I’m especially not a fan of the changes to Icy Bastion or the Electric Armor T9. I still feel strongly that these T9 powers should offer two versions: A shorter-duration, less powerful option with no crash, and A longer-duration, more powerful option with a manageable crash—not one that nearly kills you just for using the power, but something that can be handled through other powers or inspirations. On top of that, the sheer number of sweeping adjustments across powersets and builds is going to force players into multiple respecs. Because of this, I really feel that more than one free respec should be provided this time around. I’m not trying to come across as an older player who’s resistant to change, but some of these changes feel like a bit much—especially for characters many of us have used and refined for years.
  21. Something has to be down about the chance for Opportunity Proc.. Why not make it like the scrapper ATO and give it an addition chance to crit or add a little more damage when it crits.. Or a To Hit buff, or Add some Endurance.. hell ANYTHING would be better than what it is now... Sentinal ATOs feel like they were seriously nerfed for NO reason.. the Chance to Absorb used to be a decent proc to add survival now its very meh... Sentinels have gotten some good upgrades recently so very happy with that.. but unless going for the set bonus.. that last enhancement in both sets is kinda... meh,..
  22. I have to say, what I am sure someone else has said before. The T9's should have TWO versions the way some other powers have TWO versions. Speaking for myself I liked the way the original versions of Icy Bastion and Power Surge worked and was not a fan of a drastic change from something I had liked and built not only the character around but even his origin and bio around. While I appreciate making T9s more user friendly so people are encouraged to take them, there should be a dual option in the same way that dual options are being offered for other powers.
  23. Looks like some Sentinel changes are on Open Beta to Vulnerability
