  1. Amazing how you can miss the mark by a mile. Let me help you. You know GF is a thing, you can't get rid of GF, so utilize the solution the devs made for you before you get effected. This analogy isn't hard.

  3. I don't think anyone's denying the leader has the right. Having a right to something doesn't mean a right to not be criticized.

  6. This is already a flawed outlook. Doesn't matter what the numbers are, the minority shouldn't be denied what powers they should choose when the majority can make a 1-time trip to turn it off forever vs someone can't use a power they chose that exists in the game. That's why the devs incorporated Null to begin with instead of scrapping GF altogether. Minor consequences for the majority will always take a backseat (going to null) VS severe consequences for the minority (scrapping GF) You are obviously more than welcome to form teams and exclude GF users for sure, but in turn they aren't required to like your decision either. That's like saying if weather causes me to wreck my car and I didn't have full coverage insurance, I'm being tied down.... No, you know that bad weather is a thing, we can't get rid of bad weather, and its on you if you weren't properly insured. Similarly, you know GF exists, and you know Null exists....if you didn't make the 1-time trip to cover yourself that's on you.

  8. Bro, let me be the first to say you're about to be in a world of hurt on this topic for speaking basic logic. At the end of the day, 99% of the population doesn't use GF, so they are unable to remove their bias and see what you're saying about GF makes perfect sense.
  9. So what? Is there anything virtuous about participating in mind-numbing active farming vs. afk farming? Seems like the smart thing to do, gutting out the mind-numbing active farming so I can concentrate on fun content and the thrill of min/maxing. But even if I were to subscribe to mining resources without playing the game was somehow less virtuous , consider this: AFK farmers mine resources at a significantly slower rate than active farmers. In order to keep up with the rate of a return of an active farmers, you generally need 3-4 afk farmers. Building that many afk farmers takes a TON of RESOURCES and TIME to build. Not just gathering the resources to build effective AFK farmers but taking the time of slotting them out. You could argue that AFK farmers had to at one point PLAY the game a ton more than the average person to construct such a set up. I see building afk farmers as an investment similar to investing in stocks. I invest a lot of time and resources to make several AFK farmers to earn me passive income. (Except its worse than that since I have to reset my AFK farmers every 10 min or so) I take a "loss" when the devs change the mechanics of powers and make my farmers not able to farm effectively. (sorta like they did somewhat recently in fire farms and thus now i have to make a new string of farmers and spend a ton of time and resources yet again) As someone mentioned earlier, the more farmers you have, the more supply in the market and cheaper IO's become. I have not heard of AFK farmers negatively impacting anyone, quite the opposite if you consider the market. If your biggest gripe is they aren't "playing the game and they take up space near the data stream in AE, then I would have to say you do not have a convincing argument worth defending.

  11. The game already provided you with that...It's called being a Rogue. But if you don't like killing civilians as a villain......just don't do it.... will some accidentally die in the bank missions? yes...but that's collateral damage of your character committing a series of felonies with superpowers. No changes to code need to be made here. I mean, would you be ok with me being a hero who chooses to kill people sometimes or would you tell me to be a Vigilante?

  15. I asked the question initially to address Snarky's comment illustrating that because x amount of time has passed, creating an offshoot of the MM likely won't happen. So, I brought up Sentinels as an example of an AT brought in after the game had existed for 8 years. Basically, saying it's not hopeless. When you pointed out the programming for Sentinels already existed in live, I thought you were insinuating that the programming capabilities of the HC devs making a new AT was perhaps out of their wheelhouse.

I'm not a dev but, I would imagine you can keep the core programming the same with pet summoning/control, tweak the stats and simply toss in powers (either ones that already exist or make new ones)......the Dev team in HC has demonstrated they can do this. The only real obstacle I think would be making it a balanced and relevant AT.
  17. MMs are probably the only true unique AT in the game, every other AT is somewhat related to one another. Melee ATs, range ATs and support ATs......MMs seem to be the only AT truly in a league of its own when it comes to how they are fundamentally different ......Probably not the worst idea to toy with. Didn't Sentinels sort of enter the game late?

  19. As long as you're not making the group lose the game or miss out on badges, I say do you. You're not responsible for someone else's fun or lack thereof if they can't keep up.

  21. ok, so make only end game level 50 content eligible? What you're describing simply doesn't happen at the end game content...and if it does its super rare.
  22. Are we going to ignore that more times than not that coordinating instructions are constantly being given to other players? It's because its extra work most people don't want to do it. The key word is extra. You are getting the exact same results everyone else is getting. The only difference is you get to do it on your time table which isn't a tangible reward.
  23. Then if for nothing else, reward and incentivize those who currently do it to keep doing it more frequently? Retention is a thing.

Well of course that's what it is, but incentive will and has gotten people to operate and achieve things out of their comfort zone.....no one wants to go to work but the incentive to go is there. There are a few people who enjoy wor just as there are a few people who enjoy forming teams, but I suspect they are in the minority.
