If pop-in equals greater immersion, I recommend playing No Man's Sky. You will be amazed at the amount of "immersion" as things such as the surface patch pop in.

I'm often AFK due to my health so I often miss people. However since nightclubs are no longer an activity, I barely have a reason to log in. Unless someone messages me, odds are I'll miss them. One day you might be the only Idoru.

I don't mind if you have a character that looks somewhat like mine, and has the name Idoru. If the character has her own story and is doing her own thing, that's cool. In fact, should anyone approach you and ask you questions relating to me, you can let them know that you spoke with me and that I'm fine with it. I think at this time, most of the Everlasting community either knows Blue as a solo Giant Monster hunter, which I haven't done for months. There aren't many I can solo anymore. Other people know Blue as a nightclub owner and erstwhile DJ. Maybe a few people know she's a genetic construct. Some people think she's an android. 😄

I know who my copycat is. They're a nice player and probably role-playing on their own. They certainly don't know anything about Blue. No one does because no one asks. So they can do what they like because they definitely have a different story.

There's someone with an Idoru which looks a little bit like the ones I made. I'm more puzzled than anything, but I've barely seen that toon, and it could be a coincidence. After all, Idoru came from the name of a William Gibson novel, and more than one player reads Gibson.

How does changing the LOD achieve balance in this case? You still get a notification when it spawns, so you know it's there. The only effect this change MIGHT have is killing lowbies once in a while who stumble upon it, because the thing isn't going to one-shot any slotted build. What was the previous issue that prompted the change? Were people finding it too fast? So instead of maybe adding a few more spawn points to make it more challenging, they decided to adjust LOD? If this is a deliberate action, I fail to see the benefit of this. It just looks like messing with players for the sake of messing with them. There's no balance to be considered here; once Kraken is found, it becomes a hand-holding dogpile fest anyway.

There's no blending, just pop in and pop out, which kills immersion.

Remember when I joked about this game competing with Rebirth? I was wrong. Rebirth is TROUNCING this brand new MMO. This is current data. The devs set a high price as what they claimed was an anti-troll measure; however, that doesn't let them bypass Steam's return policy. Unless the dev team has a major overhaul in how they run their business, they're done. The Ship was taking on water before launch. Every action they take almost looks like it's designed to encourage failure. I've honestly never seen anything like this.

I use Fold Space on several tankers. I like it quite a bit. My current go-to is a Shield/Battle Axe.

The game has an ignore function for a reason. Players will pretend to want realism in the game right up until the point where kinetic energy meets a body, and suddenly they really just want mobs to stand in one place and die with a smile.
