  1. Again, it's not a paywall. Paywalls exist to extract real money from a consumer in order to enrich a business or individual in a capitalist system. Gold sinks exist to regulate an in-game economy to prevent runaway inflation and keep prices reasonable for everyone. Nobody gets that money. It's gone. Players who feel 10 million is a steep price are the same players who benefit most from Homecoming having a heavily regulated economy with plentiful inf sinks. This portal is one of those sinks.
  2. That's the precise intention here - you need to make a tactical choice how to use the power.
  3. It's not a paywall. It's a gold sink. There's a significant difference. The summoned base portal is a luxury, not a necessity. In the Shadow Shard specifically you can jump off the map and be teleported to a location near the base portal in each of the zones.
  4. You should actually be able to put all of these commands into a single macro. Depending on the shard you're on, the other 4 passcodes should just fail. Maybe. Give it a go and let us know 🙂
  5. Yes - and you've actually given us an idea for a potential temporary fix that might work (which means there's no guarantees 🙂 ). During maintenance this week we're going to set the soft player cap in Kings Row to 20, which should cause a second instance to open up if you gather 20 players in Kings Row, hopefully allowing you to run the event.
  6. We are aware it’s broken, but it’s unfortunately not a quick fix. We do want to eventually get around to it. It only works once in each instance of King’s Row, so your best bet is to get in right after server maintenance on Tuesday.
  7. I can assure you that all the feedback has been read and discussed extensively. @Captain Powerhouse can attest to that too. However: This, as always, remains true.
  8. It doesn't, this changes things like the type of defence which can protect against the power. All AoEs, be they melee or ranged, are (or rather, should be) flagged as AoE, this was merely an error being corrected.
  9. The change @Faultline just made means it now behaves like every other GM (along with also awarding to anyone within 800 feet). It should work almost like you're describing, but I think if you're way out of range you might not get it - not entirely sure. Either way, it's now consistent with other GMs, and those all generally work fine.
  10. @Troo I'm not sure you're quite understanding - and I'm going to request that you drop this particular topic for the moment as it's taking over this thread, and isn't actually pertinent to the changes being made to PvP.
  11. @Troo that's just how PvP has always worked. It works best when everyone is on an even playing field, and the most common even playing field is level 50.
  12. They were never valid to begin with. Please stop derailing every costume related suggestion thread with your agenda. We've seen your posts many times already. Forcing us to see them again does nothing to help your cause.
  13. I'm planning on building up an EM / Rad Scrapper. Rad is a really well-rounded armour set that's easy to slot around. EM's interaction with crits is also really fun.
  14. Yes, but we have a quality bar.
  15. It's actually not that different. Unlike pretty much everything else in the game, these missions are not otherwise accessible in Ouro or as part of a Task Force. There's also now a badge associated with these missions, so allowing them to be permanently outleveled isn't an option.
  16. So @Bopper did some investigation: It does have taunt on live, it's simply not listed in the power info. Some bug fixes on beta have caused this to now actually be listed properly. On test it's accepting both taunt and taunt set enhancements. So... I think everything is fine? 🙂
  17. It didn't lose an AoE debuff. Please drop that. Thanks.
  18. This actually isn't intended. Powers which did not have taunt before should not have had taunt added.
  19. Yes, that's an error in the patch notes.
  20. Arguments about the origins of Oil Slick Arrow don't really hold up. Most Blaster secondary powers are similar to powers from other sets, including many of the T9s, and not all of the powers they are derived from are T9s themselves. Almost all (possibly all, I've not checked) of these powers also have had changes made specifically for the Blaster version. You need to look at the set as a whole really, even if some of the power ordering doesn't entirely make sense. Fiery Manipulation > Hot Feet is a good example of this. More powerful powers being earlier in the set is actually a net positive for the set, as it allows it to peak earlier. With that in mind, feedback on the set overall is still welcome, and we will be paying attention to the feedback as these changes go live.
  21. Kinda. There was a bug that needed fixing, and if it didn't get fixed then it probably would've been rolled back, but it has now been fixed in this latest build.
  22. Also can't reproduce it. Closing this for now.
  23. And to confirm - you've tested this again on the latest build?
  24. @Maloke does this occur any time you visit Atlas, or just under those conditions? Also, are you using Tequila or the new launcher?
