  1. I tried again, this time with Vigilantes and Rogues packs. I'm not sure if it was just bad RNG or what but I got way less reward merits this time, which translated to less converters to sell and cut into my profit bad. I got a total of 117 ATOs, 9 of which I gave to my scrapper to use so I'm gonna end up just shy of breaking even.
  2. I do remember someone somewhere saying they were testing vectored Knockback in some kind of Easter egg thing they did with brawl. I'm hoping for powers that pull enemies to a targeted location come to be.
  3. Did the same on my DB/DA. Slotted Nimble with just 4 Kinetic Combats for the defense bonus. I stick to BF>Attack Vitals most of the time and use Typhoons and Fireball when I'm surrounded. It's really, really fun. I was out tanking our Brute last night on a Maria Jenkins pug I played on (until we came up against Resistance enemies in the sewer. They smoked me).
  4. I wonder how bots would do. They tend to be AOE heavy and can get the defense softcap pretty easy depending on the MMs secondary. /Time, spam the heal, keep farsight up, drop Bonfire with -KB for added mitigation. If you can go in at 0/8 with the +1 level shift, it might be worthwhile if you can clear it in like 2 minutes.
  5. I was just sitting here thinking if you had some way to defense softcap all your minions, each minion can hold aggro from 16 targets. You idy have some kind of a heal, and with all that tightly packed AOE you could do clears super fast. I'm guessing the minions conning way lower than the MM makes this a big challenge, but I wonder still if anyone is doing it. Since purple drops aren't affected by enemy levels you could make do this on +0/8 and if you're clearing in like a minute or two it might make it a good recipe farmer.
  6. Razor has it right. If an attack would reduce you to 0 or less than 0 HP, then the effect kicks in. You never actually die or get rezzed, unless you are defeated during the internal cooldown period of the ability.
  7. I would love to pull that data. What percent of DA characters take Soul Transfer VS what percentage of X powerset take their God mode.
  8. You still get that option only after the cheat death procs, giving you a boost and weakening the goes momentarily which allows you to decide if you want to stick it out and turn the tide, or run away to regroup. All the same options are there you just get more interaction out of it. It also helps Self-Rezzes compare better against T9 God powers, which essentially do the same thing (turn a losing situation into a winning one).
  9. Back on my "Diablo 3 does it like this" train of thought. This proposed change would only effect the Self-Rez powers that you get from powersets, not temp powers. Each class in Diablo 3 has an ability that basically goes like this: "When you receive fatal damage you instead don't die but do something that gives you a chance to get the hell out of dodge. This effect can only proc once every 90 seconds." So relating it to City of Heroes, here's two examples: Soul Transfer: When you are reduced to 0 HP instead of being defeated, tendrils from the netherworld erupt from your body and drain a small amount of health and endurance from nearby foes. Weaker enemies will be stunned by this effect and you remain immune from all damage for 5 seconds. This power is always on, costs no endurance, and can only occur once every 5 minutes. Rise of the Pheonix: When you are reduced to 0 HP instead of being defeated, you summon the power of the Phoenix, blasting all foes around you with high fire damage and knocking them back. You regain half of your HP and endurance and are immune to damage for 5 seconds afterwards. This power is always on, costs no endurance, and can only occur once every 5 minutes. Self-Rezzes are among the most useless powers in the game in primary and secondary powersets. Between wakies, the ability to combine them to make a wakie, and the fact that Self-Rez temp powers basically grow on trees or can just be grabbed from P2W, there's very little incentive to take a Self-Rez. You also have teammates who can rez, or give you wakies, or combine their inspirations to make wakies. Travel powers come early and anyone can grab them, or grab one from F2P, so even if you do have to go to the hospital, there's no reason why it should take more than 2 minutes to get back to the mission. I cannot remember an occurance where someone got KO'd and it was a problem. Even debt is borderline meaningless. This change wouldn't suddenly make Self-Rez powers a must have power pick but it would at least make them mechanically interesting and unique. Having a power that actually protects you from dying in the first place and gives you a second wind is vastly more useful than a power that just saves you from having to make a wakie.
  10. Maybe I got the names mixed up. Edit: Yeah I got them mixed up CotMM is what I'm sitting on. I might pull them down and convert.
  11. Yeah I was thinking about that for next time. Are the inspirations worth anything on the market? I'm not going to go crazy converting ATOs but I think I'll be converting at least the Defenders Bastions and Mark of Supremecy. They are the only ones left on my list that haven't sold. My twisted mind is wondering if I should PL one of each AT to 50 so I can easily catalyze and sell the more expensive versions...
  12. Dark Armor is a solid set, it has a lot of IO potential, the strongest self-heal in the game, good resists to everything except energy, and the ability to softcap defenses and hard cap resistances all at the same time. It's two major problems are it's utility powers are a little underwhelming and the end cost when you run all of those toggles is very bad. Cloak of Fear is broken by Death Shroud and the to-hit debuff is pretty weak. Oppressive gloom is the only power in any of the armor sets that damages the user as far as I know, and a minion only stun is not good enough to offset that damage. I propose the following: In many RPG style games, the "dark energy" type character usually has some kind of ability that consumes your own life-force to damage your foes, or in many cases, to build up resource. Trading life for mana, or whatever. Let's change Oppressive Gloom to also absorb endurance. Now we're stunning minions and draining endurance from everyone in range. That kills two birds with one stone, because now DA has a powerful endurance management tool. In addition to that, Oppressive Gloom damages the user even when you are using it against foes that are immune, or protected from the effect. Against bosses and LTs, I'm literally just running a toggle that damages me and does nothing to them (unless I have some way to stack it, but you can't always count on that). Next up lets beef up the -to-hit of Cloak of Fear, or alternatively, also give it a -dmg debuff to the foes. Now it's worth that 0.52 end/sec(IIRC). That's it.
  13. Well I'm back up to 1.914 billion, so I'll call that close enough. I still have 32 ATOs on the market. If they all sell I'll make about 200 million profit. So, was it worth all that clicking? Eh, considering it took very little RNG and I didn't have to play converter roulette too much, I'd say yeah I'd do it again. It was different, and fun.
  14. Are you me? We have a very complex app we built in-house in winforms and it is awful. I've taught myself WPF and made huge strides in developing better UI practices but... no one cares. Oh well. Update on my Super Dump: I've made back a little bit more than 60% of my money and I still have 63 ATOs for sale and 2000 converters. It's starting to look like I'll be able to get that investment back.
  15. I was wondering why some ATOs had sold for like 12,000 inf.... Posting up 3k converters 10 at a time sure is tedious.
  16. I'm posting all of my ATOs on the AH for 6.5 mill and my Converters for 70k even. All you ebil people can use that information as you please.
  17. Normalizing content in ESO was the best change they ever made in that game so its a yes from me. Remove enhancement levels and scale all as attuned. Remove levels from enemies and con them to players accordingly. It'd be a positive change for the game, but obviously it would bring up issues like why am I, a time traveling demigod, being challenged by this pos hellion in Atlas Park. To which my answer is... Just roll with it! One shot him with Energy Transfer and move on.
  18. I'm not saying let's prioritize it over actual content but one of these days let's throw a bone out there to all of us suffering from Clickitis. I'm looking forward to selling all these ATOs now...
  19. Claim all on your selection not everything in there. So like Brain Storm Ideas or Reward Merits.
  20. I swear my wife was gonna throw a book at my head last night. Click click click click click click x300.
  21. When you buy super packs the items you get go to your email tab on a special menu called character items. When you buy 100 super packs you get many many hundreds of stacked items. You have to claim each one of them one.click.at.a.time. A claim all button would be cool.
  22. Ah that makes sense. I'll give it a shot with those if I do make profit after all this selling. They have GOT to put a "Claim All" button on stacked character items.
  23. OK the results.... 1780 Brain Storm Ideas 17 Enhancement Boosters 16 Enhancement Catalysts 159 Enhancement Converters 121 Enhancement Unslotters 1225 Reward Merits 126 Archetype Enhancements 104 Special Inspirations A bunch of shitty temp powers, respecs, and tailor sessions From the Brainstorm Ideas and Reward Merits I made 89 Rare Salvage 3660 Converters Not counting the ATOs I'm thinking of posting the rare salvage all for 450k each and the converters for 70k maybe so from that I'll get (not counting AH fees) 40,050,000 for the salvage 267,330,000 for the converters I think I'm pretty much guaranteed to turn a profit once I get through all these.
  24. Should I catalyze the Brute IOs? I'd have to spend some unslotters.
