I like a good cheap build challenge. I’ll have to check tomorrow when not on my phone. I used to do cheap builds as the norm cause I made too many alts and don’t like farming or marketing for hours. Now I just use merits from playing to sell snow sets. Pretty low maintenance. And I like Apex/Tin and kill stuff ITFs so that helps. When you start to get more alts, start storing stuff in your base you strip off toons you delete. Reusing them is free just have to have a base to store them.
Don’t skip absorb pain or the rez. People die and Rex zing is cool. Yes, there are a lot of people who always have the self rez and use it. But you’re a healer so healing is good.
Welcome to the game.
TFs need revamped. Just too long, too spread out, and too repetitive. It’s like a radio team you’re locked into and all the missions might as well be in another zone. One AV at the end is neat but by the time you get there you just wanna kill it and be done. Some may have more AVs but I don’t remember cause all I remember is the drudge of it.
It sounds cool, but all the slows ends up being super bad when trying to pull or herd cause it takes them forever to get to you. It’s sturdy and slows avs but not great against most regular missions.
Rad’s T9 is great. And should be used as soon as it’s up. It’s a damage buff and the rest is gravy. Use it all the time. And the aoe that heals teammates is great. Elec is good but it’s one heal is up too slow. Both should be built for some amount of defense. Although they have no ddr, not everything does dd anyway. I do a lot of ITFs myself, so like to have it. But it isn’t required.
My spines/bio is one of my favorite scrappers. You can’t hide spines so i embraced the bio armor as well. Only toon I’ve been able to enjoy bio on. I’ve tried many times with bio and this was only toon I liked it on. It’s good, but can’t be minimized.
Rad is better imo. Electric is all resist and one self heal. The t9 isn’t great. Rad is resist plus a huge heal and an absorb shield that is huge. It’s t9 you just use on cooldown unless you know you need it soon. And rad has the cool aoe that heals your teammates which is just fun. Elec doesn’t get end drained though super handy on Lord Recluse but not too much other stuff that adds up too much.
Just my two cents but but rad is way more fun if nothing else.
Bout anything would be fine. Mine is katana and it’s cool. Dark and rad get the heal. Won’t really need it though. Dark does minus to hit which works well with sr. Spines would be my vote if you don’t have spines already. Big aoes on tank and slows are cool. Damage aura helps taunt.
Blinding feint then attack vitals is what I use. They changed combos up where missing with one doesn’t disable the combo. Attack vitals being a cone is great too as it adds the extra dot damage to everything.
I like 1k cuts but only after crit chance procs and on big groups.
Just played some ff14 for the first time in 2974 days. They highlight was the unicorn mount. Make this happen please. Not the mount. Just the head. Just a horse head that is color editable. And a horn.
Changing the aoes to knockdown is key. I wouldn’t bother on the st ones. If it’s something single target that gets kb’d you’ll kill it quickly enough that it won’t mattter that it is awa from group for 5 seconds while you shoot it once or twice more.
One other thing to note on mine is that gun drone is a huge boost to survivability that a lot of people ignore or are unaware. Stuff gets close to you then just turn to the guns. And they are sturdy lil guys.
I’d say ss/shield just cause hurl when you have a shield is one handed and super bad ass. SR effects can be 100% turned off. Bio is cool but the adaptations can’t be minimized so make sure and check that out in costume creator. WP effects can be turned off as well. My only brute is staff/wp. It’s set and forget and visually just costume.
