  1. I do sell most normal (crafted) enhancement recipes when I get them. I do keep a supply of some of the more common ones I end up using (Accuracy, Healing, Stamina, Running, Flight) on every character. "I used to do this, but I came to think I was just hoarding." It is! But it's digital hording so I don't worry about showing up on any reality shows.
  2. I consider myself (in game) pretty wealthy despite not having billions in inf laying around. I have several supergroups that are all for only my characters. I'm a base builder, so that's the main reason for multiple SGs. When I came back to CoH, I created and played my main for awhile, and then I decided to create a farmer toon. I got him farmed to get to 50, and then used inf to build him up to a point where he could farm fire farms and start bringing in the inf and loot. That character was the last time I spent any serious influence on a character. Assuming you are at the stage where you are spending time generating inf and selling drops for more inf to build out your character, this is where my method differs from most: 1.) Build a base and drop in storage bins, salvage racks, and an invention table. This takes 10 minutes or less. 2.) Save every enhancement set recipe you get. Some of those early ones can be useful at 50 (Steadfast protection, etc.). You don't need to actually have the recipe you need - just make sure they are in the correct level range. Use DO/SO enhancements early on as you level up. 3.) As you get salvage, use it to create the recipes and drop the enhancements in storage. Drop excess salvage in the racks. 4.) I use inf to buy super/winter packs and for crafting costs. I use merits to buy converters. Don't have an enhancement I need? I convert others to get what I want. 5.) Convert enhancements to the ones you need or are likely to use. I have 2000+ enhancements in storage. When I hit 50 on a character, I just move it around to my various SGs and build out of my stored stuff. I leveled about 5 or 6 characters up to 50 during the Trick or Treating. I spent maybe 10 million on picking up stuff I didn't have or ran out of. People like to say that they "don't have time for crafting", but are willing to spend way more time farming for inf or whatever. Why sell something that can be converted into something you can use? The marketeers don't get much out of me.
  3. IIRC. nothing anymore needs control and/or energy beyond teleporters. If you placed it and the flame is not burning, get one of the small generator/control items that looks like the mini-generator with a laptop on top of it.
  4. I get that but 100 merits gets you 300 converters. The "no crafting" mindset baffles me. I'm not criticizing people - believe me. Maybe from the outside, it sounds like something that is so time consuming that it is not worth the effort. And then people turn around and farm for hours and hours to build up influence and stuff to sell to buy what they want to kit out their toon fully. I have several bases (some are ridiculously large and detailed). At last count 3-4 months ago, I had over 2500 saved enhancements. I make them, convert them to what I want, and store them. I spend 10 million inf and maybe 15 minutes making a bunch of useful enhancements, while many people spend 10 million to buy ONE enhancement. I go out and play and at the end of the session I might take 10 minutes to craft or whatever. When I get a toon to 47-50 and want to finish out the build, it's just a matter of going to the bins and getting what I need. No need to spend a dime at the auction house. I agree with you on the "whole roulette" thing for sure. Damn the algorithm and its lack of streak breaker. It can be frustrating for sure.
  5. Or you make them and convert them to rares.
  6. Is there any chance we could get the Base Final Cumulative Total for each winner?
  7. How do we request the scorecards? I entered in "Realistic".
  8. Yes, I know. I think that's ridiculously high.
  9. Most of the services available to SGs are under the city. There are 5 ways to get there. I've listed them. The ACME warehouse has 2 ways to get below the city. The other locations have 1 each.
  10. Suggestion: Make past anniversary badges purchasable with anniversary tokens. I'd suggest 50 tokens per badge.
  11. In the base editor, I would do the following: 1.) Allow for the ability to do fine movements on items with arrow keys. This would be very helpful when you have large bases with many items that cause lag. OR find a way to stop re-drawing the entire base when you move something (this would stop the lag). 2.) Allow for setting up circuits so that you can have certain objects move throughout the base. This would primarily be for NPCs and vehicles. 3.) Allow for items to be groups so they could be moved as one. 4.) Add more options for storage items so there is a variety of appearances.
  12. Not an item, but the ability to move items with the arrow keys. When you have a base with a lot of items, fine movements are very difficult. It would be nice to be able to just hit an arrow key once or twice and put the item in the desired place.
  13. I can't find what you are describing, but if it existed, they'd probably stick it in the "Sewers" tab.
  14. Your character name: Brainbane Your Global handle: @Dr. Feedback Are you the owner? Yes Are you the builder? Yes Your base’s name: Newport City The shard it is located on: Excelsior The passcode for entry: GIANTS-18986 The category your base is entering under: Realism Contributing builders’ names or Global handles: Just @ Dr. Feedback Newport City is south of Founders' Falls, and is home to biotech company Gentech which is owned by David Prescott. David is a mutant, and is able to use his mind to help or harm others. He began his company to research the mutant gene and seek to help those that are born as he was. While the city itself is home to a normal population, Prescott leads a group of mutants that primarily headquarter below the city. Several group assets are accessible via several locations in the city. Notably, the mansion in the northeast corner, Apex Shipping, ACME warehouse, and the Gentech Laboratory building. (Note: there is nowhere you can enter that you can get "stuck" - there is always at least one way out of somewhere you enter. I was limited by intra-base teleport points). Highlights of the city are: Mansion Row to the south and east, Lola's Cocktails and Rays to the west, city hall to the southwest, Gentech HQ and Laboratory to the southwest, Prescott Manor to the northeast. There are lots of retail, restaurant, and commercial spaces as well. Enjoy your explorations! Visscale 5 recommended.
  15. I ended up with 12 full sets of IOs, and some merits and the other stuff.
