    Themes for January 2025 (Is it 2025 already?): 4 Jan - “Malta Undercover” - The Praetorian Offensive (Tin Mage Mark II, Level 50 + Alpha Slot) - Malta costumes (It’s customary to pair this with Apex, but I’ll leave it to the team.) 11 Jan - “Clockwork War” - The Fall of the Clockwork King (Synapse, Level 15-20) - Clockwork costume (Praetorian, Primal, Psychic) with matching Energy/Electric/Psionic powerset. 18 Jan - “Disco Forever” - Time's Arrow (Imperious, Level 35-50) - Disco/dancing costumes, Variety Act badge run (We have to fill the five roles for the Role Diversity check: Tank, Melee, Ranged, Control, Support. I’ll pick later in the week and try to fill in where needed.) 25 Jan - “Dark Star” - A Clamor for the People (Penelope Yin, Level 20-25) - All Warshades, running Dwarf form and/or Nova form. I'll miss the first two weeks (4 and 11 Jan) due to work travel, so I'll need y'all to organize those if you want to run them.

    Noon ET is the official start time, but we're generally casual about waiting a few minutes past noon for someone who signed up even if most of us are there. It just happens that a few of us are chronically early--I'm usually there around 11:30 ET. And we've had an instance or two lately where all the signups were there early and we just rolled. It's usually good to monitor the thread right up until everyone shows, just in case someone had to bail at the last minute. As an aside, it's up to you whether you want to recruit from LFG chat. Normally the leader does that, but I've avoided LFG recruiting a bit lately just to preserve particular themes. (Like this week's theme, since it was designed as another Mirror Image badge run, which requires everyone on the team to be the same AT. It also requires a team of at least 4, though.)

    The superior versions don't drop out of packs anyway. You still have to slot and catalyze them unless you buy them from the AH.

    I wouldn't mind them being permanently at 10M like the other packs, but I don't know what secondary effects this might have on the market except a potential crash in Winter-O prices toward ATO prices. (And maybe that'd be balanced anyway, since each can be bought for 100 Merits.) I can imagine some of the major players on the Marketing threads hating this idea. When the devs announced there'd be no further discounts, they seemed well aware that people were making bank off of the price swing. I did buy a few hundred of them the last time they went on sale and, between opening some packs and reselling some packs unopened after the sale, I made a few billion inf. Enough that I don't really have to worry about inf, but not enough to be a major player.

    The 7 Dec run is strictly Controllers (Dominators don't qualify), since the Mirror Image badge run requires all the same AT (not just the same role). That being said, this is how you sign up. There's no automated process, so the person who posts the sign-up sheet manually edits that post when people sign up.

My PB, Cosmique. @Burnt Umber's corruptor, Gelida Obscura. The glowing bands on the classic sci-fi costume parts make cool disco accents! Great buffs and heals! @Purple Enchantress's tanker, Brittany Kane. I like the sash with the crop top. Great tanking! Poor Mercy, last of the Midnight Squad standing in our path to power. I didn't get a screenshot of the Posi fight, but we ended up having to kill him three times thanks to the healing flames. A great run, though!

    Normally the sign-up sheet is posted on this thread later in the weekend (Saturday afternoon or Sunday) for the following Saturday's theme. You can reply to it or just chime in saying who you're bringing (character name, AT, powersets). This is an unusual case--likely only a casual run with no organized theme today (23 Nov), and no organized theme for next weekend (30 Nov). I may just go ahead and post the December themes and the sign-up sheet for 7 Dec.
