Hey All! Some of us themer's are getting together in person the first Saturday in June. I'm not sure if we'll play that day, as our plans are still up in the air. I'm not going to plan a theme for that day. Look for themes for the rest of June soon!

Hope y'all have a great time at the meetup!  I'll be out for next weekend (27 May), but how about we do a broad, informal "tourist theme" for the first weekend in June (3 June)?  If you can make it, any AT and costume, just look like a tourist for The Kheldian War (Moonfire TF, Level 23-28), which looks to be the lowest level for the week.  If y'all prefer, I see Market Crash (40+) and Op Renault SF (25-30) as the other WSTs.  Look like you're on vacation, or out of place, or whatever.

I'll bring Fraulein Mental - Mind/Kin CTRL.  The following week, I'll be out of town for the holiday.

Yes, I think that's fair enough. There are some limitations with the costume creator, so I wouldn't want it to be too restrictive. But I feel like a few of us have probably seen some of those "fashion" looks where you're like, wtf is that? lol But much like art, fashion can be almost anything! 😄

But yeah, I got super confused seeing questions about the fashion theme because I was like wait, this next theme is music. xD I too went punk rock with my character. 🙂

I went opera with my character for this week, so a similar costume to our 'Night at the Opera' theme, just a different character.  I've made a couple of alternate costumes in different genres, but opera fits the character name best.

For 'Fashion Week', so far I've found a Victoria's Secret show pic I'm emulating, with bikini and trenchcoat.  I'll be bringing my main, because I'm the anti-altoholic person and look for reasons to play my main.

  4. I was throwing out Twilight Grasp during that fight, so maybe those numbers are mine.  It's rated at a touch over 400 healing, plus a 5% set bonus that might do it.  Its cast time is excruciatingly long (2.37 s) and requires a to-hit roll against an enemy (kinda like Transfusion in /kin, which does roughly the same healing).

  6. I do really like the Barrier Radial Destiny for the 2x Rez; on occasion I've saved a team from wiping with it, but I should probably just use it regularly.  That being said, I do like Clarion Core for the perma status protection (well, if you put it on autofire, since it's a click power with recharge time equal to its duration), and Incandescence Core is popular for the league teleport.  I like Rebirth Radial instead of Ageless on my Rad/Fire farmer, which goes against "best practice" but works better for me.

For Judgement, most of my incarnates use Ion Core just to fire and forget.  The others depend on positioning but are still good and I'll take them if theme dictates.  My WP/SS tanker uses Mighty (because why wouldn't she?), and I have a couple other close combatants who use Void.

For Lore, it's more by character/theme.  The "one true build" seems to be BP, but I don't use them much.  My main uses Storm Elementals for theme (and love of the Shadow Shard), and I have a few who use Polar Lights or Carnies.

The "Intuition Radial" Alpha is great on my Controller with /Rad, and I really like the "Control Core" or the "Melee Core" Hybrids.  Not sure if that helps?

Interesting, thanks for the suggestion!  I'm gonna try that with Intuition Radial and Control Core.  I'd been slotting Musculature Core and Assault Radial for the damage and doublehit, since I need damage, but it looks like your solution might do the damage and better control on top (which I also need).

Support Hybrid looks interesting if you have pets or spend a lot of time on leagues.

  9. I was just thinking about that.  You have to reach and complete the final mission, which requires particular choices.  I don't recall the exact dialogue, but you have to go against Ouroboros' wishes, both in the Mender conversation and with Marcus.  Mostly, it's being committed to saving Marcus, and the Mender thinks he's beyond help--that's the heroic part, but going against the Ouro gets you a Vigilante point.

IIRC, any dialogue choice that includes something like "(End mission)" steers you the wrong way.

Ive been working on trying to earn this badge.  Either I am totally missing something or it's bugged.  I've run it 7 times, trying to select different choices each time but still not earning the badge.  For those who have gotten the badge, could you provide more hints as I'm obviously missing something.  Thanks.

As @Jane Reaction mentioned, check your Souvenirs tab.  At the bottom you should see 4 Stasis Pod Shards, one for each of the things you did to Marcus.  (Release him, arrest him, return him, or kill him, once you've talked to him and fought him.  If you don't have 4, you've missed a choice.)  Once you have all 4, run the arc again and you'll find someone different in place of Frostfire and it'll be pretty obvious.

I posted my summary in the Troubled Times bug thread:

    Spoiler

You'll have to run it at least 5 times to get the badge.

The first 4 times, the only thing that matters is that you choose a different thing to do with Marcus Stribbling in the last mission (let him go, kill him, etc.).  Each time, you'll get a new Souvenir in your collection.  By the last run, I did whatever I could to shorten the arc.  (For example, stealth through the lab and just get the clues in the first mission.)  It helps to have all your prestige travel powers (SG teleport, Long-Range TP, Ouro, Mission TP, TT, etc.) to make things easier/quicker.

    • Mission 1:  Lab -- Find 4 clues.  You can fight stuff if you want, but it's way quicker and less repetitive if you stealth it (or just run through).
    • Mission 2:  Defeat 10 Freakshow in Brickstown.  (I tried Talos, since it didn't specify, but those Freaks didn't count.)
    • Mission 3:  Talk to the Hacker.  Stealth to the Hacker, who's held hostage with a Freak Tank.
    • Mission 4:  Defeat and talk to Miss Thystle.  You'll encounter Longbow early in the instance, and it's quicker and less repetitive to talk your way through.
    • Mission 5:  Talking mission (non-instanced) in Striga Isle.  Every run is the same up to this point, with none of those choices mattering.  Only the mission with Marcus matters.
    • Mission 6:  Talk to Frostfire.  Enter the ship and talk to Marcus (mission in Port Oakes).  If you end up fighting Marcus (you will 3 out of the 4 runs) and you didn't fight Frostfire outside, he'll come in after you.  Make sure to track what you do with Marcus, since you have to run the arc with each of the choices.
    • 3 phone calls.

Once you have 4 runs with 4 different fates for Marcus, the 5th run you'll encounter a Mender instead of Frostfire in Mission 6.  The rest of the arc will change noticeably from the previous 4 runs.  You should get the badge at the end of this run.

  11. It's not obvious from a first time through the arc (I wondered the same thing), but it's very timey-wimey.  Once you get into that, it's kind of a cool story idea.  (See this thread, or I've summarized what I recall from my badge run below.)

There's more to it than run it 4 times.  Check your Souvenirs for Stasis Pod Shards.

Yep, like @Axis says in the hidden comment.  It takes a 5th time to see the difference.  It's very timey-wimey, for those of you keeping a Secret. 😎

Apr 29 - Faathim the Kind (Level 44-50 – Blue Side – The Chantry) All Controller or Dominator - "Night at the Opera"

Love the Shadow Shard TFs.  (Even Dr. Q, though that takes more planning.)  I'll bring my main -- Fraulein Mental - Mind/Kin CTRL.

I took it as something vaguely 'formal' (as in "What would you wear to the opera?"), for which I like the bolero/skirt combo, though I really wish there were good long skirts/gowns.  But I imagine one could interpret as a character in an opera as well.

My understanding is the same as Fraulein's. It's still going on. I was part of several yesterday on Excelsior; however, there were 2-3 full leagues going on at the same time. I didn't get as much XP because there were just TOO many people. It sucked doing TF's too as it was so laggy. However, I did get the toon I MAY bring from level 9 to 39 this weekend by doing TF's and the event.

It looks like they left the event active.  No idea how long it'll stay that way, but there was one when we were forming for Hami tonight.  They said on Discord that there'd be no server reboot this week, but that was before they discovered the event was still turned on.

Wow! Awesome! I went looking for it around 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time and I guess it was turned off by then. I had planned to log on several more characters for that toy bat. 😪

It's still going on, it's just irregular.  (My MM is in one now.)  They'll probably turn it off during the normal Tuesday maintenance.

The always-classy & stylish Princess Grace, a controller by @FrauleinMental. Frau, this costume blew me away.
I don't know if Grace Kelly would have worn that sexy corset in her day 😄 but I love your portrayal of her here. Oh, and I must mention how the collar and shoulders look together... fantastic! One question: what are those long white gloves? From this angle I can't identify them. They look great!

    Vk7DYL9.jpg

    Thank you so much!

The gloves are Fashion Tight, same as the boots.  I'm just noticing that with the color they blend a bit much into the skin color, which makes them harder to identify.
