I understand that a lot depends on the particular powerset, but so far I've been having a fair amount of success with my Beast Master/Time Manipulation MM. I'm just curious to know if it might be more efficient to fight smaller groups of higher-level enemies, or stick with larger groups of weaker enemies.

Well, I guess I'll go first. Honestly, I think I get more enjoyment out of using the character creator than anything else. So here's a few examples of ideas I've come up with in the last few days. If anyone has an idea, but can't wrap their head around the costume creator, or just wants ideas, hit me up.

I was thinking more along the lines of a community thread where people post their costume ideas, or ask for help with them if they can't figure out something that looks good.

I know there's a thread for the costume contest, but the rules only allow a single post with three pictures, and seems to be very specific. What I'm wondering is if people would be interested in a more general thread for posting your character or for people seeking help with costume ideas.

As many others have said, I also want to thank you guys for setting up and running these servers. I never thought I'd get to play CoX again, and I really appreciate the chance.

Update: Was able to get to the character screen on Excelsior, but when making a new character and hitting OK to enter the tutorial, the game just locks up and kicks me back to the login screen. Now the character can't be played at all, and can't be deleted, and the name is held. So weird.

Same here, as of 10:51pm PST. Can log into Excelsior and get into the queue. Torchbearer just locks up and does nothing when I try to log in. Hangs for about 30 seconds, then just goes back to the user name/password login screen.

There is at least one bird head, but no masks or helmets. The customization options for the "beast" heads are all VERY limited. However, if you get creative you could probably make a bird-like helmet+mask. The only way to do this I've found is to use the robotic arm option for the chest. That's going to limit some of your other costume choices, however. Not many. There are only a handful of costume pieces that have feathers on them other than the straight up wings.

Yeah, I was at ~200 out of 1400 in the queue when the game stopped getting messages from the server. Looks like it either crashed or was taken down. :(

At the bottom of the character creation screen there's an option to save and load character costumes and customizations. I highly recommend you periodically save so you don't actually lose anything if you get D/C
