Previously, this mission would be full of low-level Skulls representing Psimon Omega's phobias, alongside 3 even-level bosses to defeat. Well, when I attempted it today it was full of level 40 Skulls from Kallisti Wharf. My poor level 32 villain couldn't even scratch them before getting hospitalized.

Personally, I use the 'second account as a cameraman' method (a stalker with flight and minimum height helps with angles. Mini Mode more so, but that's expensive) combined with a custom (unpublished) AE mission called 'Photo Shoot' that I tweak as needed depending on the character. The only objective is to collect an object (which disappears on collection) or free a hostage, depending on map constraints - anything that won't autocomplete before both characters enter the map. When doing this, I typically have the villain group set to 'empty' unless I'm trying to use them as a prop as well. A major limit can be the map and enemy options available, as well as finding a spot with good lighting/scenery, but a major benefit of using AE for screenshots is the 'Toggle Invisibility/Invulnerability on' setting when testing unpublished missions. It can allow the cameraman and photo target to take photos without risk (if, for example, you want an action shot of your character soloing an AV or GM). Setting an attack power on auto can also help while you spam the screenshot button on the second character. As an example of using AE to set up screenshots, here's my illusion dominator summoning more decoys than Phantom Army allows: I did this by making an Ally objective and setting the number to the maximum the map allowed. Then I made a custom character using the original's costume and rounded them all up for a picture. Speech bubbles are edited in, of course. If a character's powers aren't customized, turning them into an AE character (or using a Doppelganger) can also be a useful method to get in game shots of them. Though positioning them correctly can be an exercise in frustration (as is making them use the correct powers at the correct times), making it generally easier to just use the two accounts method.

I started Operative Kirkland's badge mission 'Eliminate Negotiator and Witnesses', which is a cargo ship map that starts with you on the outside and transitions to the interior. Noticed after a while that my pet wasn't helping anymore, so I clicked it's name in the pet box. Pet was 1k yards away. I go back outside to see if it somehow got stuck on map architecture, only to find that no, it's right there ramming back and forth against the door trying to follow me in. I go in again. Pet doesn't follow. Go back out, still banging its non-existent face into the door. I dismissed it, then re-summoned it inside the ship, which fixed the issue; it could enter and exit freely after that. Character was a dominator, and the map was Zone/Mission: V_Outdoor_Ship3 Position: [3272.5 -162.4 -230.0], if that matters at all.

Had that issue myself, but it turns out the arc doesn't consider itself complete unless you unlock the 'true' ending; i.e. getting the bonus mission and the Brass Tax badge. Getting the bonus mission requires escorting all three Freakloks to the lab, then riding out the waves of Freak attacks until Dreck arrives. Dealing sufficient damage to Dreck will make Dap-Dap offer you the bonus Nemesis mission, but it can be tricky to hit him enough before the lab defenses kill him. I usually charge out of the lab as soon as I see Dreck's dialogue appear in the chatbox. Killing him without any lab NPCs doing damage worked both times I tried it. If it turns out you did get the Brass Tax badge and it's still incomplete, yeah, that's definitely a bug.

In the tip 'Skulls vs Family?', during the conversation with Robert Kogan has the line: 'bigotted politicians who promise them a tax cut' on the first dialog window - 'bigoted' should only have one 't'. Robert Kogan arc, mission one: The Ampules clue is named 'Emtpy Ampules' The Zoot Suits clue in m1 is named 'Costume Zuit Suits', but correctly spelled zoot elsewhere. After all 4 clues are found, Skulls spawn in - one of them has this line of dialog: Death Head Slicer: Say("Morana'd be pissed if she knew we were doing this."). 'Stop the UPA attack mission': Speaking with Siren Singer and asking 'Who are you?' has the line: 'We were responding to the silent alarm triggered by the UPA breakin here...' - Break in needs a space in it. Saying 'That's my arrest' in the first branching choice has the line: 'She turnes to the other members of her team and nods.' instead of 'turns'. In the 'Embarrass the Altruists' mission where you pretend to be a Freakshow member, the dialog branch 'Screw that! > They're just going to let us go? > But wouldn't the cops know? > You know the Skulls they busted earlier? > I got some friends in the Skulls' has Ch4pTr4p say 'What? Youre trying to tell me you're friends with the Skulls?' - 'you're' is missing an apostrophe. After returning to Robert Kogan, after telling him 'Let's hear it', he says: 'Luckily, the Altruist Division must be embarassed by what happened' - embarrassed needs a second 'r'. Then saying 'I think I have an idea' and picking the Freakshow has the line: 'it would make it seem like the Altruist Division is being targetted by them' - should be 'targeted'. The same misspelling occurs in the Devouring Earth option with the line 'at least one Altruist Division team has been targetting them'. 5th Column mission with Major Benjamin: Following the dialogue choices until 'Just don't chicken out' has two misspellings in the first sentence: 'You severely understimate the strength and convinction of the 5th Column' - should be 'underestimate' and 'conviction'. Returning to Kogan for the debrief conversation has 'The Altruist Division suffered 'heavy casualities' after they arrived' in the first window - There's an extra 'i' in 'casualties'. In the next mission where the player bombing the Nemesis warehouse: in the conversation with Olde Tyre Fire, when telling him Nemesis troops are Prussian, he corrects (badly) to a Russian accent. The narration text says: 'It sounds like he might be trying to immitate a Russian accent'. Imitate has one 'm' Not technically a typo, but convincing Olde Tyre Fire to leave the warehouse doesn't remove the text 'Warn Olde Tyre Fyre (optional)' from the navbox. Returning to Kogan for the debrief and asking what to do next has the line 'I know about a private lab that's working on some Praetorian technology, including a pheremone that attracts Devouring Earth' in the last paragraph - should be 'pheromone'. After deciding to attack the Altruists but save Adamstown, then returning to Kogan and asking 'So now what?', he has the line: 'Try to figure out how I can make ammends' in the last paragraph - amends has an extra 'm'. In the Souvenir text: In the paragraph about the tip mission 'Skulls vs Family?': the line 'After witnessing their propogandistic press conference,' - should be 'propagandistic'. In the paragraph about the Nemesis warehouse mission: the line 'Apparently, the Altruists were going to take down a wafehouse full of Nemesis automatons' - instead of 'warehouse'. In the paragraph about the Devouring Earth mission: the line 'Not only did the pacified Devouring Earth go beserk' - should be 'berserk'

1. I convinced the Freakshow to turn on the Altruists (dialog branch 'Screw that! > They're just going to let us go? > But wouldn't the cops know? > You know the Skulls they busted earlier? > I hacked Blackwing > Do you really believe that? > Dreck's a sell out.) , but they ran right past Siren Singer when she spawned - neither faction aggroed to each other. (Which may have been because I was playing a Stalker and had hide toggled on; the first battle in the mission doesn't trigger until my character was noticed by both parties, typically via Assassin's Strike) Since they had no target, the Freaks returned to their spawn point. 2. I got Siren Singer to 50% of her health and she called for reinforcements. Much to my surprise, she and the other Real-ID protectors then decided to murder each other instead of me. 3. I dealt with all of them, then proceeded to the computer for the press conference. I was told: "You should wait until the Altruists and Freaks are dealt with before you start the call." The mission could not be progressed as the Freaks were alive, so I relogged to reset it. 4. Dealing with the Freaks via violence instead of manipulating them to attack Crey allowed the mission to progress as intended, but there was no text objective in the window telling me to confront the press after I defeated Siren Singer.

In mission 5 of Alexander the Great's arc in Kallisti Wharf, interacting with the treasure chest and choosing the vigilante option gives: 'Nobody can be trusted to use these artifcats responsibly!' in the green interact text instead of 'artifacts' - In Adelard Ziegler's arc, in mission 1, there's a Galaxy Archon named 'Archon Witman' who mentions retirements in the Council. Adelard references that line of dialog in the mission two debriefing, but calls him 'Archon Witmer'. In his third mission, the final Blackwing ambush wave will say 'This is becoming embarassing. I am so tired of working with these cops. I've seen your arrest numbers, now it makes sense.'. Embarrassing should have another 'r'.
-
In the Moonfire Taskforce, there's a mission to defeat 20 Council soldiers to learn where Dr. Todd is being held. The note that drops says ''Bring the scientist to the base at these coordinates. I myself will convince him of the wisdom of aiding us.'. It should be 'her', since Dr. Todd's a woman.

Dap-Dap's got a store option (which doesn't sell anything, but still has the player sell interface), but it appears to be broken - selling an object produces the sound clip, but the item remains in the player's inventory.

In Dap-Dap's first series of missions, defeating Thyra in the Warriors mission will give the wrong objective complete text in the mission info box: it appears to belong to defeating the Wyvern/Blackwing negotiatior objective in the next mission. For reference, here's what appears in the log (misplaced text bolded): Mission Complete: You and Dap-Dap successfully tossed out the Carnies. And Dap-Dap loved every minute of it. Mission Objective: You interrupted a peaceful exchange of power between two enemy groups. What a pleasure that was! Mission Complete: You took out the Warriors, but their fighting style was considerably different. The text for defeating Thyra in the chatbox seems correct though, stating: The guard for this dojo was clearly taking classes here, and in need of a few more. I also noticed some typos in the finale: In Abby's clue, there's the line: 'ablative armor is secured that way instead of Piecemeal's controversial modular body socket systemm' instead of system. The Awakened Eidolon's description's got a mild typo: instead of 'social and political struggle' it's 'social and poltiical struggle'. She also has another on in the line 'All conflict is perpretated by people in power looking to turn the majority dissenters inwards against themselves.' when combat starts - it should be either perpetrated or perpetuated. In the bonus mission, Piecemeal's computer is named 'PM_001.iso' in the targeting box.

My brain has for some reason decided to fixate on Maestro and Nosferatu (probably due to the research I did on the archvillains' characterizations for some of my villains' backstories). I accidentally wrote a lot more than I intended, so wrapped it up in some spoilers. Some of it's subjective, of course.

Here's mine from a shelved AE arc - more aligned with Folter than Polter since he's a sadistic psychopath, but the shredded martial arts robe + mummified 2 cape combo may be of use to you. Screenshot on the right has the Reflections effect and Steamy Mist from Storm Summoning for the translucency + popping out of nowhere like a Stalker if the player's perception is base level.

Pyroclastic Crow's a lava alien who accidentally entered a wormhole to Primal Earth. His body is made of lightweight volcanic rock, and his only vital organ is his molten core - anything else can be regrown/reforged thanks to his species' innate ability to manipulate lava and molten stone. The Wraith of the Wastes is an extra-dimensional ice lich with a penchant for flash freezing living beings into ice sculptures. Arachnos' experiments with Portal Corp tech accidentally opened a rift straight into her display gallery, and she's been gleefully collecting exotic new specimens from the Rogue Isles as recompense ever since.

Here's some thoughts on sets/powers that could work: Water Blast (Dark coloration with orange and/or gold) gives a kind of syrup-y look. Marine affinity's too effervescent for my tastes (syrup's meant to be sticky and slow) but could work with the water only animations. Fire Control and Fire Manipulation's Hot Feet power works - slows enemies, has a sort of bubbling effect around the player's feet. Earth Assault/Manipulation/Stone Armor has Mud Pots/Mud Bath, which has a similar effect to Hot Feet. If going that route, the set can be recolored to somewhat resemble crystallized syrup. Likely not ideal since heat would keep it melted, but plausible enough. Bio Armor with minimal FX animations can look somewhat liquid-y. Poison look somewhat liquid-y, but doesn't really give me maple syrup vibes. Maybe a Fire/Earth/Leviathan Dominator or a Water/Fire Blaster with either the Fire or Leviathan epic pool?

Level 10-20 Longbow Warden bosses with the Spines powerset have somehow gotten renamed to 'Scrapper' (which is accurate, but not what they're supposed to be called).

Consideration of Knowledge (65341) - Use AE to learn AE
VeiledOwl replied to ZamuelNow's topic in Mission Architect
Perhaps that clue order in the clue tab is dependent upon the order of the objectives in the editor, making it helpful to order them in the rough sequence they should be encountered (front clues at top, middle below, back and completion clues at bottom of the list). Not foolproof with multiple clues per area, but it can reduce scrolling up and down to find things. Also that you can swap objective order in the list by dragging and dropping them. Same with mission order, which makes it easier to test later missions without running the entire arc/using the complete mission button multiple times to get to what you want to test. A thing that confused me when I first started using the editor was that a boss I'd placed in the back of a map kept randomly spawning in the front. I eventually figured out that it was because I had too many details in the back, so it would randomly shunt one of them to another area. Perhaps that could be mentioned in a mission clue - that if an objective keeps spawning in the wrong place, it's probably due to having too many objectives of the same category in the location. (Not always. Looking at you, SERAPH lab with a front objective in the back, making a car keep spawning in the lab). -
Bane Spider Ruben's arc lets you interact with them a bit to get a sense of their personality, but several have very little background/content. If they weren't interesting enough to the devs to be given a role in alignment tip missions, there's not much to go on.

The key here, I think, is to figure out why she would be created in the first place. All of the materials that went into her creation (and give her powers) would be too expensive for it to be a whim for most scientists. Plus, there's the fact she doesn't know she's not human. That's shady. Add in the robot control and the lack of psychic presence? Those are purposeful. Combine in her father potentially being Praetorian, and giving her a Resistance rifle? That screams to me 'initially designed to be a secret weapon against Cole's regime'. No psychic presence? Can't be detected by Seers. Controls robots? Able to override Clockwork units for combat, spying, or even just directing them away from Resistance operations. Limited time field manipulation? Sounds excellent for infiltration and sabotage operations. Can't be caught on camera if you freeze time and move past them while it's frozen. Not to mention assassinations. She could even believe she's human to try to make her better empathize with the repressed humans of the regime. Amnesia to prevent her from noticing inconsistencies and make her easier to influence. If she herself isn't Praetorian, maybe the project fell through or Praetoria fell before she could be completed, and her father decided to finish her despite her original purpose no longer existing on Primal Earth. Her not knowing doesn't necessarily have to be sinister, but knowing why he hasn't told her the truth could give some depth, I think. There are Clockwork in the Resistance who have been implanted with Seers' minds - could be a similar situation. Original body died, mind belongs to one of the scientist's dead loved ones.... Lots of options.

First costume is the golden top, second is white. When loading the costume, you'll need to select 'Attempt costume fix' to disable the aura, then switch heads to another category (anything but floating head will work), reapply the aura (Fiery > Fiery Head and Fists, fourth orange from the right), then switch the head back to Floating Head. You'll need to redo this every time you load the costume or want to change the aura. I forgot to change the head's base's secondary color, so altering that so the white doesn't pop so much is likely a good idea. Genie2.costumeGenie3.costume

After completing a safeguard mission from any of the four Skyway/Steel detectives, they only introduce Montague Castanella. Which isn't actually the problem. Previously, you could accept him as a contact, do another safeguard mission and they'd offer the three standard options to pick from. Now after you've unlocked Montague, they offer absolutely nobody, no matter how many safeguards you do. This isn't an issue of me having the contacts already, either - the character I tested it on only has the standard auto-unlocking ones: Admissions Officer Lenk, Shauna Stockwell, and Twinshot.

I don't know if you're already aware of him, but The Lord of Frosts may be of interest to you. He's Japanese and the leader of the Imperial Wind, Japan's superpowered strike force in the Pacific during WWII. He's also the Winter Lord's primary avatar, so he'd be more than capable of creating unnatural snow and ice. You could add further complications in the form of Captain Volcano, his American rival from the 1st Hero Brigade, (avatar of the Summer Lord) or having to handle other members of the Imperial Wind (who have no other named members, to my knowledge) allying themselves with the Rikti.
