I'd say the price is less relative to their usefulness and mote relatable to their opportunity cost.

If you have a reward table open that offers hamidon enhancements, you are also offered reward merits. You cannot get a hamidon enhancement in which you are not giving up a certain amount of reward merits. Technically the lord recluse strike offers the lowest sacrifice in reward merit gain by choosing a hamidon enhancement, followed by the stf/mltf, followed by a hamidon raid. The hami raid is often done back to back and some people may opt to choose a hami enhancement more frequently on the second round rather than logging the character out to select after the 20 hr cd.

Regardless, in order to populate the existence of hamidon enhancements, reward merits are sacrificed. Reward merits offer a consistent standard value. They are more widely usable. Choosing a hamidon enhancement is a risk/gamble and you may be giving up 40 reward merits for a worthless hami-O.

If youre looking to farm hami-O, run some more LRSF. It is generally a very fast tf. It can be done exceptionally fast with some intention set by the team. It offers a low amount of reward merits compared to other hami reward tables.

Ahem. Just my opinion, and opinions will vary.

LRSF, Ms Lib (aka the ol' StatesTF) - IF what you are after is the hami, these are really a waste of time. Do the Speed Eden, get the Titan-O. It can be combined with the hami, and/or Titan-O, if they boost the same attributes. And a Speed Eden takes less than 5 minutes, compared to the boring drudgery of LRSF/MsLib. (yeah, I can't stand those two tfs. They are so dull, and the cut scenes are awful unless someone on discord has a helium filled balloon and does a voice-over)

There was a time when a hami raid used to be more fun just reading the the silly comments in zone, but for whatever reason, things stopped being amusing for me. I guess 8000 merits worth was enough repetition for me.

The whole 3 salvage bucket thing put a pretty big crimp in people trying to flip salvage.

I'd love to see something along the lines of if you buy an IO from the market you can't resell it until you've had it slotted for 365 days.  And if you buy a recipe from the market you can't resell it at all, you have to craft it to relist it.

Um..let's be careful of what we ask for, okay?

I can just imagine having to wait for some arbitrary unit of time to sell something. I think I'd rage quit. I hate to wait, lol.

  3. Oh, I should add...as one of my duties in the SG, I host an event or two each week. Lately, these events have been a more traditional, old-school crawl. I never look forward to these, as I'm often busy doing something else and have to stop what I'm doing to lead these. But - every time I do, I enjoy myself. Part of the reason for that is Snarky is usually there. It's quite delightful to hear Snarky mock my pronunciation of a word, only to consistently mispronounce a word or two himself. And we both grew up speaking English...well, what we consider English.

Yes folks - Snarky wants you to think he's a grumpy curmudgeon with the occasional clever use of sarcasm. And he is - but he's also pretty amusing in Discord.

  4. Ahem. It's early, still in the midst of coffee. But, I've reread the replies, and believe some clarification is in order.

There is a distinction between Hallowe'en Zombies and the "Zombie Apocalypse/Invasion".
    image.thumb.png.72a37659907888b1650a1892404f6095.png
    image.png.10a75793b43fedb9095ec6f698c9b035.pnghttps://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Zombie_Apocalypse

During the Hallowe'en event, there are Zombies that may answer the door if you get "Trick", rather than "treat". Those are a different badge.
    https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Halloween_Event/Trick_or_Treat

As to why you didn't see progress...I can't say definitively. The game has SOOOOO many badges. Like, 1549/1550, depending on whether you count Bug Hunter. (which doesn't seem to count in your badge total if you have it) It's difficult to outline a pattern of how each badge progress is displayed.

As a rule of thumb, if you have zero progress towards a badge, usually, the game doesn't show any reference to the badge at all. However, in some cases, like certain accolades, the game may show something like this: image.png.0732b2e828aa268daa637a7cc1c19fe1.png

So, it makes it clear that this character hasn't done any of the Freedom Phalanx task forces. But more often than not, you won't see any reference to most badges.

I would guess, in reference to Zombies, the progress would only be displayed in one or two places: Closest to Completion or Events. It's possible that they might show up in Defeats, too, I suppose.

I don't know what size team you had when you encountered the zombies. Anecdotally, I've learned to try and get these with multiple teams, all huddled close together so the spawns will drop near the league in sufficient number to get the badges. A small team will often not trigger enough spawns to get the badges. But as to progress...you could be looking in the wrong place, or the game just may not be showing you the progress - but it will award the badge when you satisfy the amount required.

Uuuuse the wiki, luke. 🙂 (If you ever lose it, it's under "more" at the top of the page. Unofficial Homecoming Wiki.)

    This.
When HC first came back on, there was no HC Wiki, but we still have the original Paragon Wiki to reference. Slowly, over time, the HC wiki is editing, adapting and updating. Still, the wiki will answer 80-90% of any question any player would have. I can't endorse it strongly enough.

Be empowered. Use the wiki. Bookmark it. Have the tab open while you play. Unless you're just killing time in a fire farm, you'll undoubtedly use it routinely.

The player got the merits but not the badge.  Are there different requirements for each then?

The requirements for merits are simply to have dealt some damage. Like..1HP worth. The requirements for badge are different. You, or your team must have dealt 10% or more damage to get the badge.

Consider Eochai and Jack in Irons. They often are seen fighting each other in the Vale. If they are seen after they have been fighting for a long time, then they will have done a ton of damage to each other. But because of their massive regen (because they have so much HP), your average team comes along, kills them, but gets no badge. And people are a bit disappointed, and perhaps confused because they were at full health when you found them.

This is because Jack did more than 90% of the damage on Eochai. and vice-versa.  As it stands now, the game looks at the point where the GM spawned, tracks how much damage it's taken by a team (or solo player) and if that total of damage is less than 10% of the total HP, all you get are merits.

So, as an example, I don't know Jack or Eochai's HP, but let's say they're both 100K HP.

Jack and Eochai are dukin' it out for 11 minutes. During this time, each has done enough damage to have killed them 11x over - 1.1 million HP. You come along with your magnificent ice blaster and drop blizzard with some red inspirations, and amazingly freeze/damage them to zero. You've only dealt them each 100K damage. But the game tabulates that as less than 10% damage, given how much damage Jack and Eochai dished out against each other before you got there. So, you get merits, but no badge.

All of those numbers - I pulled out of thin air. No idea how much time may elapse and you can still get the badges. The shorter the duration, the better. Anecdotally, at least 10 minutes is safe. Beyond that, can't say. I've never waited that long to clobber them. In this experience the chap with the star had far more patience than I did. (waiting for more folks - heck, we already had over a dozen, he kept making us wait - and with two teams, I was pretty irritated, wondering if I'd get the badge, cuz my team had two lowbies that may not have helped with dps that much. )

Jerry Seinfeld once had a bit where he felt like speed limits should be based on age. The older you are, the faster you should be allowed to go, because you have less time to get there. We don't get to live forever. Some of you have page load times that extend beyond my life-span.

I went through the Power Pool powers and it looks like there are two powers that help with Endurance. Unleash Potential in Force of Will and Victory Rush in Leadership. Are there any others I missed?

I am interested in Victory Rush since I intend on taking several powers in Leadership anyway. How does Victory Rush work exactly? I can't figure it out based on the text. Is it a buff that stays on? Is it a short term buff that I activate when I need it? Should I even bother with this power?

Victory Rush is a power that you activate after the team has beaten a boss or EB or AV. Other than that - I can't say anything about it as it seems rather useless to me.

If you're after more endurance, the easiest way to manage that is to ensure your toggles or attacks have some endurance reduction slotted in them, and/or have more slots in stamina.

The biggest problem with Leadership pool is the two that are a toggle - Maneuvers, Tactics - are always on until you run out of endurance. And they each take quite a bit of end to keep on. image.png.9fbd15e246bf0dbbdbc3015aeacce3bd.pngimage.png.a6f5397a493444eca2dd50def82b14c9.png
    Details in the pictures above.
The one on the left, Maneuvers is without an end reduction. The one on the right, Tactics has a level 35 Common IO end reduction in it.
Even with that - .29 is fairly high.

What I try to do with my builds is use combat attributes to monitor how "out of shape" my character is.

    image.png.e23d78139f0c9d144bf57423da4f8cd8.png

As you can see, while I may have slightly more recovery than end usage - sitting still, I'll have some troubles once I start attacking. Good thing I have AM...but that only covers me for 2:00. It recharges in 2:12. I should be okay. And as it levels up, it'll get better as the IOs get better, and when I get Portal Jockey Accolade that will give me 5 more endurance points. (as well as Atlas Medallion and High Pain Threshold.)

And well, if you're not after more endurance - I apologize for wasting your time!

I honestly can't say why it takes so long to load; my system can handle plenty of other more recent and (theoretically) more demanding games, but it does just the same.  Sometimes it loads faster, sometimes it hangs and crashes.  Usually it's somewhere in between.

But I do think you're putting a rather harsh and arbitrary limit of 60 seconds on people for things that may be beyond their control.  I realize time is precious, but seriously, we're talking about a couple of minutes here; have a little patience.

I can only say I will try. And have been able to control myself to a small degree. Case in point - Patron arc, the last mission. I do wait for people to see Null and switch alignments. But I don't appreciate waiting. When I say 60 seconds, I want to be clear - I don't have a stop watch and cut people off at 1 minute. It's likely a longer time. I'm just going off of perception.

No one's referring to what you do as "ebil marketterring".  It's the flippers who add NOTHING to the market and simply drive prices up for no reason that I hate.

Here's what we do about those people. We stop selling IOs at 1 inf, 6 inf and other ridiculously low prices. If we can all agree to sell them all for precisely 2M, no more, no less, then those people will have to pay a fair price for them, and when they try to re-sell them for more, they get stuck holding the goods.

With the way the market works, that is really the only way.

The problem is these lazy people who can't be bothered to sell items for a fair price. They want to be fast, and they think they're being nice - but it's what we call "noob traps" that usually snare those cheap sales. Stop the laziness. Stop the perception of being kind. Sell the damn thing for 2m, so those people can be hurt in their profit margin. That'll show 'em!

As much as I'd like to seriously suggest we all do this - I fully recognize that someone here would dare to sell their items for less to get the first sale, then someone else would be jealous and then list a lower price. Next thing you know, we'd have competition!

Yeah, I'm being a bit obnoxious. Sorry, I'll stop.
I get what you're saying. The problem is, I don't have a solution that will work long term.

Setting aside for a moment your extreme impatience and a host of other factors you're ignoring in your estimates and calculations, I'll point out that you're not factoring in screen load times.  If I have to transfer between 1-2 zones, I can easily lose a minute or so just in loading each zone.

This game is ancient. The only reason that comes to mind for such a long load time is you're playing on the same computer you used back in the day of flip phones. It's never taken me more than 5-10 seconds to load. If it takes you that long - I couldn't deal with that if I were you. I wouldn't even play this game if I had that long between page loads.

While I wouldn't expect anyone to upgrade their system to play a game, I wouldn't expect anyone to wait more than a minute for me to be where I needed to be. There's no reason why anyone should have to wait more than a minute. Time is more precious than money. I can accumulate wealth, but when the time has elapsed, it's gone forever. I will not normally wait more than a minute, because 90% of the players have a system that can get them there. If you aren't on such a system -  I feel badly for you. Hope you can upgrade when the GPUs go back to a more normalized price.

I have teamed with people with long load times. It ain't fun. If I am polite, the very mission that would take a minute to complete, it now takes 2 minutes for the guy with the slow load times to zone in, then they have to travel to the mission - and what's worse, half the time they get disconnected because the map server expected them to be in one place when they were in another. This is more often than not due to a bottleneck on their side, not the game. Their ISP may put a throttle on uploads or downloads, their cache or memory may be too small. Could be anything, really. But I do know when I teamed with this one dude with long page load times, the 2 Minute Cavern of Transcendence turned into a 7 minute cavern of transcendence. And when you're going for partner badge, that's 5 minutes wasted each time! I won't put up with that, unless you're an in-game friend that I've made. And even then, I'll beg off, because any friend of mine would know I lack the patience.

You're not wrong, Lagniappe can mean generally any kind of extra benefit. For me, I'll never forgot my Senior Prom was the night the clock's got pushed back one hour, so my curfew of 2AM wasn't a true 2AM, but 3AM as far as my body was concerned, because of Daylight Saving's Time. In that context, it was lagniappe. An extra hour. So, when I made my time corruptor, to me it made sense to call it Lagniappe. Slowing down foes, giving myself and teammates extra time before the next attack, etc. But yeah, an extra donut is good, too! (if it fits your macros, lol)

I have the same card, actually. And I can run three accounts easily. But, although I have wireless (router is literally 4 feet away) I use cat-5 cable. I have U-verse for my connection which is fairly reliable.

However, while I can run 1 account on ultra...running three seems to give me issues, like the gamma setting. The other two go darker, and it's annoying. So, I just go with my settings on performance. I ran my account on ultra, and looked at the effects, and I honestly see no change between ultra and performance - unless I use Cel Shading. And using Cel Shading ..I can't get into it. Makes everything look like a comic book instead of real. I want the spandex to look like patent leather, not colored lightbulb in the shape of a body. But, that's just me.

I am currently getting just shy of 60 fps with the three accounts running now.

  15. Wow.

First, I want to applaud the OP and Oklahoman for not sharing who these players were. Must have been tempting to do so.

Second, as someone who USED to lead iTrials and the occasional MSR...I know exactly what you're going through when this happens. Your tolerance and patience exceed my own, for sure.

When I see a GM, if my own character can't solo it, and I feel like I need it for a badge, or merits, I'll bring on an alt that can solo it, and let both characters get the merits. Only rarely am I going to take the time to wait for someone who actually wants to finish a mission before I start. The idea that I should wait more than 60 seconds for someone to get in zone simply galls me. There's absolutely no reason why any player from any location can't get to any other zone in 60 seconds, whether they're in a mission or not. Base TP takes 10 seconds. Traveling to the portal necessary shouldn't exceed 10 seconds. It really is that simple. If a player doesn't have base tp, then they can use an ouro portal, pop into talos and use the base portal that's 100 feet away. (or so) For Adamastor, they'd have to use Ouro anyway to get to Echo:DA.

I get that there are some players that are new - and may not understand how to get somewhere. But, call me irrational, I expect these players to be literate and follow instructions once I relay how to get there.
And I will admit that I get frustrated with players that want to participate, but have no idea what they are doing. They are so clueless, that they don't even realize that they have no idea what they are doing. Level 3 scrapper wants to come to Croatoa to help with Eochai -- but doesn't know how to get to Croatoa. What am I supposed to do with that? Laugh? Cry?

I simply told they they weren't tall enough to ride this ride, and moved on without them. But make no mistake - I did reply. I never ignore anyone who sends me a tell, unless that tell is really obscene. I might not be perfectly nice, but I do reply. It's a pet peeve when folks are "lfm", and don't share that they have filled up, leaving me hanging wondering when my invite is coming. If you are recruiting for a tf (not zone event like MSR or a GM) or a mission team, and I send you a tell (because the recruiting message says, LFM, PST) if I don't get a reply, you get one-starred. It's a simple matter to scroll up and click to reply if you get a lot of tells. That may be irrational to insist on that, so, sue me. It's my peeve. I'll keep it.

But I digress. The reason why you get tells may be because the person sending the tell has never led anything before. They have no idea that there are issues with moving folks around in a league if someone is out of zone. They just don't understand. This game that many of us have played for so long, we understand these things, but a number of newer players genuinely have no idea. They figure a tell is a better way! And though they may gloss over your recruiting message, they're really not reading it. Heck, with all the damned abbreviations we use, it's a wonder any of us can understand what we read in the first place.  Further, I suspect that a small percentage of these people are sending you a tell specifically because you asked for "no tells". You're not doing things the way they would, so you're getting trolled a bit. (that's what I think, anyway. I could be wrong)

  16. Ah...a lively discussion. Perfect thing to delay my workout a few minutes.

There are a lot of things that encourage me to log off, rather than on, lately. And it mostly involves personal issues I have. Things I probably could handle better with therapy. Like, when I see a name that references an STD, like "Burning Itch", or "Glorious Bean Fartz", goofy names like that. They bug me. Sure, it's a bit silly, and might produce a grin the first time seeing it - but beyond that, it annoys me. I don't want my small mind to be led to think of such things when I play. I want to see names like Galaxy Girl, or Photonic Man. Your standard hero names. Or pun names. A time character called Lagniappe. Something clever, not sophomoric.

I mean, I get it. I made a character called Thong Kong. What's sillier than a gorilla in a thong? But I've since retired the character and don't subject people to a 4 hour run of a bad joke.
And, as I freely admit, this is a reflection on me, that it bugs me. Not any of you. You keep doing you.

But the biggest thing that bugs me is the stupid drama. Needless drama. I will spare you all the details, but it's annoying. I would rather not play then deal with small minds. One thing I will share is - I haven't an issue with anyone, rather my issue is with parties that used to get along but no longer do. Sucks when Friend A no longer wants to team with Friend B, and vice-versa. And it's over something so ...well, I don't get why they're upset. But, I guess I don't have to.

I'm on my side. Not either of theirs. So, I'll just solo.

So the answer to my post is run the same content repeatedly and play the market (if we were talking this over a beer it would sound less snarky)?  All while we are "arguing" over slotting basic/do/so enhancements in powers as ya level?  In a game balanced around SOs (not do, basic, empty slots, and reds).

Again i dont have a dog in this fight anymore (so ill be backing gracefully away from posting in this thread so i dont mistakenly offend anyone).  Multiple accounts and maxed out farmers.  But my first toon back, and recent no market, no infamy gift runs reminded me.

That said OP Sorry I hijacked ya thread in a different direction.  If ya need help in game hit me up.  If you were trolling i can probably teach you how to do that better as well 😀.

Thanks for your perspective, and your opinion. I also want to encourage you to express your opinion, rather than worry about offending people. I want players in CoH to think, and not filter their speech to worry about people getting offended over an expressed opinion. Not like we get paid for opinions in this game, lol. But who cares what I think right?

Truth is, I'm with you to a point. I do think running DFB four times for each of the buffs that last to level...21, I think, is a bit too much. I mean, how many times can we do the same stuff over and over? Some folks have a different expectation when playing this game. Some folks just mash buttons and get their enjoyment out of interaction through chat/discord. The environment in which they do this doesn't mean much.

So, here's the thing: if the HC devs were to make some changes, to the point where at level 2, a character can buy SOs for the ..9 or 10 slots they have, and then upgrade each level using the auto button...I wouldn't have a problem with it, per se, but for me, it would make the game void of dopamine rush. Nothing to get excited about. I say that with the background of having reached 50 t-4 in all incarnate slots well over 100 times.  Obviously, if I were a newer player, I could still find the content engaging and interesting. Maybe fun. But honestly, I've never had "fun" playing this game. Engaging, interesting - at times. But when the right enhancement or recipe drops - ding - dopamine to the brain!

I don't expect anyone else to view things the way I do. And I don't think you're alone with your position on the topic. I think any pushback you're getting is from folks who don't see your position as a problem, but as an opportunity for a goal, something to work towards.

What if SO, DO, etc were free?  Or SO was the bottom (no DO and lower)?  I think yall forget how sucky your first toon back can be.  No fun managing enhancement and seeing a bunch of empty slots or outleveled enhancements.

I dont mind earning my IOs but an empty power is no fun.  And more than half the time drops dont match my origin.

I have a very clear and recent knowledge of how horrid a character can be, starting with zero influence and relying solely on drops.

I did a "drop" challenge character, with several restrictions. No assistance from my alts, or any other player. No use of the AH except to sell. It was quite challenging, particularly after level 12. End mod recipes and enhancements do not drop nearly as often as they should.

And you're right, the drops don't often match origin. Used to be, you knew Hellions were arcane, and would drop magic enhancements. As would CoT, and the mobs in Croatoa. Rikti would drop Science, as would Council. Sky Raiders and Freaks would drop Tech.

Now, some parts of the game drop to align with your origin - like AE. For whatever reason, that works well.

But, you've given me an idea for something new to try. A character starts with nothing, and has to essentially earn all enhancements without using the market.

Oh - wait, that's been done by every player that played before IOs came out. The key is to not upgrade enhancements at every level. In fact, most don't even buy enhancements until a few runs of dfb - which get you in the teens. If you don't have 2xp (which costs you all the inf you earn while that buff is on), you'll have enough. And if you craft and sell your uncommon and rare recipe drops, you'll be swimming in it, even if you don't use/sell converters. Which are so easy to get now - it begs the question why you can't get those explores and sell the converters (from the reward merits) to subsidize your enhancement budget?

Any particular reason Cytos are so pricey? I get that they're the +Def/+ToHit/-End HamiO, but I have a hard enough time getting the right set bonuses in the powers I'm already using. Having "free" slots for HamiOs outside of powers that don't take sets still seems strange to me. Other than the relative rarity of a HamiO and this particular ones usefulness, I just don't see why it'd be upwards of 20mil in today's build market.

I'm in agreement, in the sense that I don't get why anyone would even pay for a Cyto, let alone the fact that I've seen the level 53's sell (if I believe the AH history) for 320M. I am thinking it was an extra zero type of thing.

But, I'm one who abhors the use of Hamidon enhancements. Sure, they can fill a need in certain builds. But the idea of attending raid, after raid, after raid vs paying some truly outrageous price for one...I'll stick with my set bonus IOs, thanks. Glad we have options!

Early today, while teaming with the SG, the old topic that many love to get into fights over - knockback - came up. We were smarter than most and laughed more than complained about it. My theory was, "The people that complain about KB are the ones that are selling the KB->KD IOs in the market."  Part of a Nemesis plot, to be sure.

I say that, to say this: Often times, aside from "AH glitch pricing history" where SOs seem to sell for many millions of inf, from time to time, an ebil marketer will see, for example, 30 enhancements in the Hami-O class listed for sale. That marketer will buy all of them as cheaply as he can, then he will knowingly take a loss as he has an alt buy 5 of them for a truly outrageous price, in hopes of snaring the next mark into over-paying, and hoping the cycle continues until all of them are sold. It probably works for only a few, but depending on the price he initially paid, it may only take one or two to break even.

It will almost always pay to be patient. As I've gotten accustomed to saying recently - it's why we have so many slots for alternate characters! So we can place lower/reasonable bids, and then do something else while we wait for them to fill.

I am curious what people find are the most expensive non-purple enhancements.  I've been surprised at trying to sell some enhancements only to have them sell for a surprisingly low amount (assuming I want an immediate sale).  Something like positron's blast might only sell for half a million while basilisk's gaze sold for two million.  Defense sets are said to sell well, but some more than others obviously.  Is there a pattern to look for, or do people often just go with what they know to be mean prices and not do the immediate sale?

Each of us "ebil marketers" have our own methodology that may be unique when it comes to pricing.

For me, Immediate sale = foolish. What's your rush? We have alts we can play while we wait for that IO/recipe/salvage to sell for a "fair" price.

So, what's fair? It varies from person to person. For me, [Crafting cost + salvage cost (at buy now prices) + recipe cost (buy now price)] + (70k*15) = breakeven price. Add a little bit for profit.

    As an example:

level 50: Mako's Bite recipe dropped on my afk-farmer.
    Cost of crafting: 490,400
Salvage cost: for my farmer - zero. but there is opportunity cost - I could just sell the salvage at 6 inf and get the highest bid out at that time.
Recipe: Spirit Thorn - common 250
                     Silver - common 250
Thorn Tree Vine - uncommon 2000  (sketchy prices in this area lately - could maybe get 20k, lol)
Magical Conspiracy - Rare - 500k (..prices creeping up a bit lately)

    Total: 490,400
              500,000

                  2,000

                     250

                     250

             992,900
    1,050,000

         2,042,900

The 1,050,000 comes from an average use of 15 converters per IO to get one that sells at a decent price over a decent amount of time. It's an opportunity cost. I could just sell the converters and get that much all day, every day. Instead, I spend the time to use them and turn that Mako's bite into something that sells for more, and more quickly.

Mako's Bite: Damage/Recharge successfully converted to Sting of the Manticore: Damage/Endurance.  1 converter used.
Sting of the Manticore: Damage/Endurance successfully converted to Unbounded Leap: Endurance.  1 converter used.

Unbounded Leap: Endurance successfully converted to Force Feedback: Knockback/Accuracy.  1 converter used.

Force Feedback: Knockback/Accuracy successfully converted to Siphon Insight: Chance for +To Hit.   1 converter used.

Siphon Insight: Chance for +To Hit successfully converted to Mako's Bite: Accuracy/Damage/Endurance/Recharge. 1 converter used.  (Ouch, same trash!)

Mako's Bite: Accuracy/Damage/Endurance/Recharge successfully converted to Call of the Sandman: Accuracy/Endurance.  1 converter used.

Call of the Sandman: Accuracy/Endurance successfully converted to Reactive Defenses: Defense/Endurance.  1 converter used.  (now we're getting somewhere)
Reactive Defenses: Defense/Endurance successfully converted to Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Recharge.  2 converters used.

Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Recharge successfully converted to Luck of the Gambler: Endurance/Recharge. 3 converters used.

Luck of the Gambler: Endurance/Recharge successfully converted to Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Endurance. 3 converters used.

Now, it's just a coincidence that I used 15 converters. Sometimes, it's 1 or 2, sometimes more than 15. 15 is just the average.
So, now I list it at a price that people seem willing to pay. 4-5M. It may sell for more. It may not sell right away. But usually by the next crafting session, it sells.

If it had turned into an Oblit, or a perf shifter +end, I'd list it for a bit less than 3M, to cover my costs (and opportunity costs) and Auction House fees.

I think it's fair. Don't like it - bid lower and wait longer. Or make your own.
