Rad/bio broot

Is this build good? Im trying to put together a psi/bio brute and can't find an up to date build.

Hi I'm using your build with a couple changes: I took assault instead of combat teleport and use a pshift +end and pshift endmod in stamina. I also put lotg +rechs into cloak and stealth it's been a really fun build and I wanted to thank you for the template.

How about beam/rad? It's a nice set with some synergy.

You had an extra slot at 40th. Maybe put in tough for a steadfast unique?

I agree, @Sovera, I would rather control when and where I get a damage boost than wait for it to fire off randomly. It does best in buildup style powers before your alpha strike. Though I've only done it on 3 characters.

Mercs are all ranged. Thugs are mostly.

So far I've got a fr/water and a ff/beam and I've been having a blast thanks to the guidance of this thread!

I may be in the minority but I enjoy ranged stabbing via arrows through archery/tactical arrows. When built well it seems to be a murder machine and that vanguard bow is just cool! Archery also has innate accuracy buff so you don't have to chase tohit so much.

Brutes are like melee sentinels. Very survivable, almost the damage of scrappers.

You said you did a brute so I wouldn't suggest that and I believe in controlling your damage output as much as possible so not scrapper that leaves stalker. Hope that helps! Have fun out there...

I'm happy with my brute and I don't farm but that happiness is built on nostalgia of classic/live and I know tanker would be better.

Oh wow I really love the idea of an ff/water! I had already made an underwater creature costume I just didn't have a character yet but this has definitely made me want to do it! Thanks!

I played nothing but defenders on live and I don't know if their gameplay changed on HC but I've always considered my rad/sonic a duck treading water. Calm on the surface, kicking butt underneath the water. I doubt that's changed much but what did change is my taste for gameplay styles. If defender isn't your cup of tea, it's better to stop now but keep the character until you want to pick it up again, because you will eventually get that itch. Try some other ATs and find one you like. Don't quit, just explore. You may come to find you like your defenders' impact after all. Have fun out there...
