  1. Also of interesting note:  Do NOT run the Promise for New Tomorrow arc in Neutropolis BEFORE running the previous arc My Best Friend Rusty arc.

In My Best Friend Rusty, you will meet a contact named Aarron Walker,  HOWEVER IF you have run Promise for New Tomorrow first, he dies in that arc (part of the story, cannot be saved) and thus he isn't around in My Best Friend Rusty

Also there is a mission in Imperial City where you must "rescue" aka capture 3 people to be fed to the Ghouls.  If any perish before being rescued you must reset the mission

  2. So I am running the 4th arc of Black Scorpion's patron missions.   I am in the mission where I need to Visit the Future.   While here I am to defeat Aeon and then rescue Silver Mantis.

Well Silver mantis was taking aoe damage from the Zeus Titan guarding her and she perished just before I defeated the Zeus.

Had to reset the mission, this time when I found her I took the precaution of using my incarnate barrier which actually did shield her.

  3. Partner Badge set: 3 badges that culminate with the Partner badge for a total of 50 repeat runs of the weekly TF's during the week after you have already run it for the double rewards.

    https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Partner_Badge

TF/SF's recommended for the farming/grinding acquisition of the Partner badge.

Posi 1 + Posi 2 form a team and speed them back to back to back to back.   Alternatively, you could just speed run Posi 1 with a team or solo it.   Posi 2 can be soloed if you are equipped to take on the AV at the end of it., but Posi 1 tends to be quicker, and the final fight in Posi 1 is your shadow replica and a CoT boss.

Apex + Tin Mage: form speed teams and run them back to back to back to back

Imperious Task Force:  set to zero stars and form a speed team and run it again and again and again

Penelope Yin TF:  easily soloed or with a team.

Sewer Trial: this can be done quickly if the team works to keep the generators offline during the hydra fight.

Eden Trial:  in this case, form a fast team and call it the Speeden trial.   Run it again and again.....

LGTF:  this can be run fast, but sometimes the Hamidon in mission 4 can be a minor speed bump.  Suggest the Ernesto Hess trial instead.

Mortimer Kal SF:  as long as the leader can start it, form a speedy team and run it again and again and again.....

Market Crash:  form a speedy team and run it again and again and again.....the only speed bump in this is the final giant. But if you aren't doing a Master run and team members have Lore pets......

Katie Hannon:  speed bump #1 in this is the 10 Mary fights,  the other speed bump is escorting her out of the red cap caves as she cannot be teleported to the door.  Still a good one to repeatedly run

Khan TF:  can be completed fast if the team has the firepower and debuffs for the final fight with Reichsman and the 4 AVs.    Barracuda SF not recommended as teams sometimes have to clear the final map of all targets as they locate and escort Recluse's minions to the machine room.

Cavern of Transcendence:  can be done with a speedy team or a well equipped solo character.  Only speed bump was the change a few updates back where you now have to destroy the giant at the end as well as rescue the hostage.

Merit rewards decrease with each run to the point where you could get only 1 merit, sometimes the completion of a mission awards an L50 toon with a prism (2% chance) and sometimes you get some good recipe drops.   Run the TF many times a day then take a break until the next day and repeat the process.

  4. You know what I mean:  to have Weave for example you need to take 2 other fighting powers first.

With the recent change to the main pools in terms of getting them sooner,  perhaps the need to have prerequisite powers chosen in the Tier 3/Epic/Patron powers is outmoded and should be removed.

Not the level requirements, just the power prerequisites.

Wouldn't you like to take Weave first then maybe another power from the fighting pool or smile knowing that you have 2 choices for other pools now?

OR Vengeance without taking 2 other leadership powers?  Or Victory Rush?

  6. I saw no posts asking for suggestions for the winter login badge this year.  So I figure they have one ready, and the code for it isn't working at the moment or they decided to not have one this year.  No big deal.

  7. Correct,  you must have the 1000 pts and the countdown to zone reversion must complete to zero without any pill boxes being taken to stop the countdown.   Also if you zone out, you lose the points, so you must remain in zone.

But since there is also the badge for being in the zone for an hour, that's fine.

  9. Due to Ouroborus being a co-op zone now,  while it takes a Villain or a Rogue to start the Classic RSF, Vigilantes can join and run it, but Hero alignment characters can be on the team,  the TF still starts and they cannot run it as they cannot enter the redside zones, and while on a TF you cannot talk to Nul the Gul

So currently one must make sure that all team members visit Nul and become Vigilante, Rogue or Villain. But every now and then you get one that refuses to alter alignment or claims to be correct alignment when they are not just to troll the team.

So options to correct this that I can think of:

    1.  When starting an incarnate trial, the system will abort the start queue and a message appears that states which character is ineligible to run the trial.    Add this feature to the Classic RSF, that way the leader knows who is Hero alignment and tell them to change alignments or make room for someone else.

    2. Make the Classic RSF rogue or villain alignment only, no vigilante or hero alignments.  The SF cannot start if all are not red alignment.

    3. Adjust Nul the Gul so that you can speak to him while on a TF.

    Hello,

    1. Freezer Burn badge - defeat Boss with TF on advanced difficulty. Does one star setting count as advanced and if not what level does?

    2. Where/when does this new Boss spawn during the TF?

    3. Any strategy/tips/tricks to stop those really annoying Cyclops and Minataurs both going immortal or whatever it is they do and fleeing all over the map? Have been street sweeping on clifftops and it takes forever chasing them.

    Thanks guys

    1 star will work

Get to mission 3, bring the computer down to 10% or so and you get the cutscene.   Note that while soloing the 2 giants is possible,  it is not quite worth it.

Cyclops/Minotaurs,  stack holds and immobs, pop reds like they are pez and go to town on them

@Voltor snagged all the badges with every AT, so that's proof that there isn't one specific AT or build that is easiest. Play what it most fun to you.

Quite right, play the one that is the most fun for you.  Some AT/power sets will have a faster time then others for certain badges.   But there will be badges that will take some time to get.  Also when Halloween, Winter and Spring Events are online, THOSE badges should become your top priority as they are once a year badges.  Halloween has the most badges of the events followed by Winter, Summer event is year round, and Spring has the least badges of the events.   In May when it is anniversary month, you'll get the new anniversary badge and you should then immediately get to Luna in Ouroborus and procure all previous anniversary badges......if you have the reward merits.   So my advice for all the above events is that all your active alts need to run them and get the once a year badges out of the way.

One of these days I'll post my own list of how I've classified the badges,  Easily Soloed,  More Efficient with Team,  and Team/League mandatory.    Then I have 2 sub categories: Speed Bump and ROYAL PAIN.

Example: 2 MAP badges that are team/league mandatory to get.   The map badge under the hydra in the Sewer Trial,  and the Unabashed badge atop the Ritki mothership in RWZ.

An example of a badge that is both easily soloed and can only be obtained Solo is Toy Collector for opening 200 presents during Winter Event.  clicking a present has always given credit only to the one that opens it.

Speed bump: Examples are the last badge in the: damage inflicted/damage taken/healing badges/held badges sets and also the 5th and 6th money badges.

ROYAL PAIN: that honor goes to the Dreamwalker badge in the MoM incarnate trial.  What dev back in the day was in an angry mood when they set the criteria for that one?

  12. Reward Merits are account bound but can be emailed to one's own global and thus transferred among alts, preferably after they are converted to hero merits.

So, perhaps the time has come for AE tickets  and Vanguard Merits to be the same: account bound but can be emailed to one's own global so that alts that might need some of them can get them quickly.   Also, perhaps converting say 50 tickets into a Super Ticket, and 100 V_Merits into a Super V-Merit would be good also?

Also converting say, 50 Prisms into a Super Prism for easier storage in base or trading amongst alts?

  13. Emp merits, 50 of them can be converted into a Transcendent Merit for more convenient storage in email to relay to an alt.

For Prisms, have it where say 50 prisms can be converted into a Super Prism for easier email relaying to alts or to even store in base storage.

Go to a Salvage rack in base, insert Super Prisms, make more and store them.  One Super Prism = 50 prisms, store 100 of those in salvage storage = 5000 Prisms in storage in one storage bin.

Convert the super prism back to regular prisms for purchasing the new costumes
