@Voltor snagged all the badges with every AT, so that's proof that there isn't one specific AT or build that is easiest. Play what it most fun to you.

Quite right, play the one that is the most fun for you.  Some AT/power sets will have a faster time then others for certain badges.   But there will be badges that will take some time to get.  Also when Halloween, Winter and Spring Events are online, THOSE badges should become your top priority as they are once a year badges.  Halloween has the most badges of the events followed by Winter, Summer event is year round, and Spring has the least badges of the events.   In May when it is anniversary month, you'll get the new anniversary badge and you should then immediately get to Luna in Ouroborus and procure all previous anniversary badges......if you have the reward merits.   So my advice for all the above events is that all your active alts need to run them and get the once a year badges out of the way.

One of these days I'll post my own list of how I've classified the badges,  Easily Soloed,  More Efficient with Team,  and Team/League mandatory.    Then I have 2 sub categories: Speed Bump and ROYAL PAIN.

Example: 2 MAP badges that are team/league mandatory to get.   The map badge under the hydra in the Sewer Trial,  and the Unabashed badge atop the Ritki mothership in RWZ.

An example of a badge that is both easily soloed and can only be obtained Solo is Toy Collector for opening 200 presents during Winter Event.  clicking a present has always given credit only to the one that opens it.

Speed bump: Examples are the last badge in the: damage inflicted/damage taken/healing badges/held badges sets and also the 5th and 6th money badges.

ROYAL PAIN: that honor goes to the Dreamwalker badge in the MoM incarnate trial.  What dev back in the day was in an angry mood when they set the criteria for that one?

  2. Reward Merits are account bound but can be emailed to one's own global and thus transferred among alts, preferably after they are converted to hero merits.

So, perhaps the time has come for AE tickets  and Vanguard Merits to be the same: account bound but can be emailed to one's own global so that alts that might need some of them can get them quickly.   Also, perhaps converting say 50 tickets into a Super Ticket, and 100 V_Merits into a Super V-Merit would be good also?

Also converting say, 50 Prisms into a Super Prism for easier storage in base or trading amongst alts?

  3. Emp merits, 50 of them can be converted into a Transcendent Merit for more convenient storage in email to relay to an alt.

For Prisms, have it where say 50 prisms can be converted into a Super Prism for easier email relaying to alts or to even store in base storage.

Go to a Salvage rack in base, insert Super Prisms, make more and store them.  One Super Prism = 50 prisms, store 100 of those in salvage storage = 5000 Prisms in storage in one storage bin.

Convert the super prism back to regular prisms for purchasing the new costumes

I have grave doubts that anything like that could be done fast enough to make it to production before the end of the Halloween event. Done in preparation for next year's event, perhaps, but not this year.

Oh quite right, I wouldn't expect it to be done now.  But if it can be done then let us hope that it is done.

  5. Since Halloween was modified to add EB's that give badges and prisms,  perhaps a simple addition to Spring Event's reward menu when you complete the DJ Zero Snaptooth mission:

Among the options that include Heart of Light badge and Partygoer badge, add an option to select ONE prism.   The DJ Zero mission can be run 10 times before he is done.  So badge hunters can get the 2 badges then 8 prisms as well as the defeat Snaptooth 5 times badge.

Also here is the idea I posted for Winter Event:

  6. Well, that's that. Time to go back to my original plan for the Halloween Event this year: put my feet up.

1596 active badges in the game*

15 Character Archetypes in the game

1 of each dedicated to getting all the badges.

All 15 once again STAND COMPLETE!!!

*Bug Hunter is a separate trophy, not part of the total.

     Think I'll stop.

Well first, congrats to the above for maxing up the badges again.

As for me, I brought my main 2 of 15 to 1596 on the first day of the event, then paused to consider my above quoted previous post.   I said I think I'll stop, and I thought about it.  For a time I was tempted to stop badging on all 15.  How long was I tempted? 0.86 seconds, which for me can be an eternity. (pop culture points to those that know where that dialog came from) Took all the reasons I was thinking about not badging any longer, reviewed 'em and threw them out with a vengeance.

So, that being said it's time once again..........

  8. Just finished a DR Q run now that it is WST.   The longest TF in the game, pays the most reward merits, many missions in it built via copy/paste............and it only pays 2 Prisms.

Seems like Dr Q, and for that matter all the Shadow Shard TFs should pay maybe 4 or 6 prisms?

  9. Instead of new enemies/badges like in the impending Halloween Event,   let's keep it simple: when you collect presents for Toymaker badge, Prisms are added to the possible items one can get.

    Open a present:

    Get attacked by snowmen

    get jetpack

    get snowbeast power

    get snowball

    get duplicating gift

    get snowfall power

    get Prism

    get candy cane

    🎃 What's New in Halloween Event 2022? 🎃

    New Trick-or-Treating Enemies!

    • Five new Elite Boss enemies that can now spawn while Trick-or-Treating above Level 25!
      • Ancient Vampires
      • Spectral Werewolves
      • Arisen Mummies
      • Crone Matriarchs
      • Hollow Reapers

    • These spooky new Elite Bosses will reward five-fold experience and influence for each one defeated!
      • Have any alts that still need some levels? Haven't tried out Symphony Control? Want to build a character for Advanced Difficulty modes?
        • This would be a great opportunity to find some time to go Trick-or-Treating!

    • Each of these new Elite Boss mobs also count for the older defeat badges. Spectral Werewolves count as both werewolf and ghost defeats.
    • These new mobs spawn at a lower rate than other Trick-or-Treat enemies and were designed to be tough. For the best results, try Trick-or-Treating with a group!

Looking for an efficient Trick-or-Treating spot? Might I recommend the motel near the hospital in Peregrine Island?  👀

    Halloween_Pic1.PNG.396857a8310f8a174818c78a1c38c985.PNG

Ouch! Best be careful, these spooky Elite Bosses are looking for unsuspecting victims to scare!

New Halloween Event Badges! + Aether Rewards?!

    • Five new badges for defeating each of the new Trick-or-Treat Elite Boss types:

    • Not only that! But each of these new badges also rewards 2 Prismatic Aether Particle salvage as a bonus, for a grand total of 10 possible on each character! Wow!

Ten whole Prismatic Aether Particles that you can earn on every character!

Total badges in game will now be 1596......... 😞

  11.

In terms of Prism drops they say that the length of the Weekly TF determines the drop of either 1 or 2.   Next week, DR Q. is among the weekly TF's.  Given the length of that TF one would hope it would drop 4 instead of 2.   Same with the other Shadow Shard TF's.

Also Halloween is coming. Will wearing a Prism costume let us get Halloween mission tip drops when doing ToT or will we will need to suit up in one of the Temp Power suits that can drop from ToT?  Same question applies to fighting the last boss in the Haunted House. Wearing a costume when defeating it earns a badge. Will a Prism costume count or no?

3.11 sleep protection for 1m 30s(1m 30s) on self unresistable

Power crash on light form cuts health/stamina by 50%,  perma charging can help with the crash. Also light form carriers over to the other forms.

So basically Rad Armor suffers the least in terms of crash, but only runs for 60 seconds.    Peacebringer light form loses half health and stamina with the crash, but perma charging light form is easily done and can offset the crash

Perhaps, Invul, Ninjitsu, Energy Armor, Super Reflex, Electric and Rad could all have 3 minute duration, power crash drains health/stamina to 25%, cannot recover for 60 seconds. Recharge time remains the same?

Going to say I'm on the flip side of crashes. I wish we had *more* stuff that would give a power boost - but come with a cost, like the crash (or the -health Energy Transfer came with.)

That said, they *have to be worth the cost,* too, and that's the part that really comes into question for players (not to mention gets thrown for a loop when you bring Incarnates into the picture. For instance, I was fine with ancient Blaster nukes that had an END crash, but they also didn't have the target limit they'd be saddled with - defeating a giant mob of enemies wiping you out, energy wise, for a while? Makes sense... at least for a blaster, as opposed to the 'annoy a group of enemies' at Defender levels.) But you couldn't bring that back *now* with everyone throwing Judgements left and right with no cost.)

T9s were worth the cost before, now... ehhhhhh...

(Edit: And yes, I know I'm generally in a minority when it comes to the "Crashes are appropriate if it's worth it" crowd. *shrug* Always have been, even with the nukes.)

I just realized what the power crash on the old Tier 9 powers reminded me of.  Activate the power and you get about 3 minutes of power and then crash and likely get defeated.........just like when Ultraman's color timer/warning light stops blinking and goes out.

No one is suggesting Perma.  They would not be Perma.  Like SD and WP are on a set timer, can't shorten the recharge.  From the other sets that have good T9's that accept+recharge, the  recharge is so long that making them Perma is impossible.

The aim is something useful, without the huge godmode bonus or the associated crash.

Best you can do with the other T9's is quasi-perma.  I've made builds that get the recharge time down so much that after the crash you have only 60 seconds to wait for recharge to be complete.   But that is a dangerous 60 seconds, not unlike the old weakness THOR used to have where if he wasn't holding his hammer for 60 seconds he''d revert to his mortal form.

  15. But perhaps they can try the path system from the VEATS on which Tier 9 armor to choose?

Energy Aura T9 drains you endurance when it crashes, so have some blues in your inspiration tray, or else the phasing temp power from patrolling Warburg or from the Stealth pool.

Activate them right before the crash so that you can hopefully be intangible long enough to recover.

    Or else just run 🙂
