I think Elec Armor is one of the best tanker sets honestly. Pretty easy to build and does well against everything that isn’t Toxic damage haha. Elec/Elec back on live was actually great for end drain on PvE AND PvE. I don’t believe it’s a viable tactic anymore though.

For some reason, I always felt Elec/Sav and Dark/Sav really went together well thematically.

Hi all! I’ve never run a Dom before…. And I have a great concept for an Earth/Earth combo. I’m totally open to suggestions on powers, where to place the Dom ATO’s, all that. If anyone has run this combo and has a build they’d like to share to give me some ideas, I’d be all eyes and ears!

I feel like Shield/StJ might be the COOLER of the two options. I think Rad/StJ might be the more OPTIMAL though. I'd run StJ/Bio on a Scrapper, personally.

I think Savage is super sweet as well. I'm probably gonna skip going over Rad Armor. Everyone loves it and it seems to pair well with everything. IDK if there is any particular synergy there with Savage, although I'm sure it'd be an amazing combo. Shield/Savage would probably feel SUPER mobile with both Charge and Leap. I like the idea of being able to move from group to group so quick. Dark/Savage seems like a VERY thematic concept and to have the most direct synergy, IMO. Elec/Savage to me just seems like it would be absolutely no fuss, no frills. You just mow things down and keep going. With all this in mind, I'd probably go with Dark/Savage myself. Dark Armor can be a pain to level, and Savage Melee helps with that. Once IO'd out, Dark Armor is amazingly good and Savge Leap will really help you get into the thick of things.

That is kind of my vision for my Stone/Stone Sent!

It's interesting in seeing Thunderstrike's DPA being lower, even when they cut the animation time recently! Is this also taking into account TS's splash damage hitting multiple targets?

I get that. What I mean is I assume you’re not hovering with Seismic and more likely to get into melee range at SOME points. Do you feel it is still sturdy enough to hold up? I imagine it is. Stone Armor seems tough, and Seismic brings some nice control via KD’s.

haha I bet! I dig the animations as well. Do you feel it functions fine when it has to operate in melee range?

All of these sound awesome. I'm particularly interested in the Seismic/Stone. I have a "stone bender" concept that kind of fights both ranged and melee. That combo to me seemed like one of the more "scrappy" Sentinel combos. How did you like it?

How does Storm Blast stack up to Elec Blast or some of the other premier Sent blast sets? I know it takes a bit more time to ramp up it's damage. I dig the lightning strike animation haha

Elec/Energy/Elec is one I hear about alot as just a great Sent all around. Dark/SR is another that seems great from a pure "TANKY" standpoint. I'm messing around with the idea of a Water/Bio Sentinel. Seems like it'd be a great mix of Damage, tankiness and some crowd control.

This is great info, thanks. How would you say Rad Melee fairs in general content, outside of farms? I kind of dig it's combo of stacking - res as well as bringing a heal.

Fair enough. I assume this hurt it's AOE dmg quite a bit. Would you say it is better to use a tradtional set in it now instead of proc-bombing it?

I’m curious: what changed about IG in Rad Melee that made it worse?

Elec/Energy/Elec Sent is one of the premiere combos I feel. I’ve been messing around with either Water/Bio, Dark/SR and Seismic/Stone for my next Sent project. I personally just love the “Battle Mage” aspect of them.

That begs the question for me: How is Shield/Rad compared to Shield/Dark? They seem to bring similar tools to Shield Defense.

Thanks for all of this! Quick follow up: 1. So you’d suggest getting Devastating Blow regardless, since the set is lacking ST damage otherwise? 2. Any tanker primaries you feel really mesh well with Rad Melee?

Just curious, and not to hijack the thread, but Rad Melee seems like a great choice for these farms. How does it compare to the other sets for general content or 4* stuff? It seems to have a lot going for it (decentish AOE, can slot -res procs, a heal). Some of the animation times are crazy (looking at you Devastating Blow). Proton Sweep just seems bad. I'm wondering if you could get an attack chain of Rad Smash, Cross Punch, Rad Siphon, Atom Smasher? Maybe pick up Contaminated Strike and an epic AOE to mix in? Or is Devastating Blow a must?

Appreciate it! What Alpha would you look at for Dark/Elec and for Shield/DM?

A few follow ups if you end up having the time: - For the Shield/DM, is there a particular Alpha you would lean towards? - For Dark/Elec, I was thinking either Cardiac or Vigor (to lean into the healing) for the Alpha. Which would you prefer? - Less a question and more a great callout on Resilient core for the Elec/DM. I hadn’t though about that one, but really helps with resistances and accuracy.

I remember back in ye olden days (live) Elec/Elec tankers filling that unique niche of just sapping anyone. Not sure if that is still a viable tactic in this day and age.
