So basically you have 2 min of this... Then 2 min of this. Then 2 min of the first one again. - then you have a 2 min gap. And also neither of these take into account Might of the Tanker proccing more than once - which it does quite frequently. Normally you are at this.. And its more than enough under 99% of the game.
-
Not taking into account a rotation that increases durability by a good measure - is easy to obtain - and has no noticeable crash - is simply overlooking a whole lotta mitigation at your disposal that you really dont need ultimately but is there if you did, but if you wanna be a godlike- ya know? You kinda should count that. Im only talking about melee core and one with the shield - both function similarly - and I'm pretty sure in rotation they are perma on shield. - ita close if its not. I wouldnt count a destiny or something like unstoppable either - mainly because unstoppable isnt really unstoppable if you crash or fase anything pay. You really never should pick unstoppable unless to mule.

Thats why my top 2 are Invul and Shield, you can come close to capping res on both with might of the tanker and rotating one with the shield and melee core, and on invul just might of the tanker gets you close to capped. Then you have the softcapped defenses on both and you are pretty much unkillable.

Delusions mean it isnt happening. So your statement isnt true. 😉

Taunt is fine if you need a crutch. Hehe None of my tankers have it. The only one that ever steals agro from me is Myr, but is because they are so dang awesome. 😂

I played regen once after its nerf, and for some odd reason I felt the unresistable need to play sarah maclachlan music and light a candle.

That was my tank from back then just like his namesake in the Cherokee Kid starring Sinbad. Iron Will and the consignment house TP killed that bear, you dont want detail.... Trust meh.

i have never counted it single target honestly, but its really reliable in mobs. ill log in tomorrow and test that for ya and see if i can reliable count its rate.

Well with invul, a lot depends on what attack set you go with too - either way slot the gaussian in Invincibility and you are gaining build up often - combine that with something like double stacked rage and you are dealing out some hurt at that point.
-
I can fight those with focused accuracy tough weave and all the primary toggles running with no issues even with rage crash, because of 2 performance shifter procs, panacea, miracle, numinas, physical perfection. And if it gets tougher i still can use conserve power. I rarely do that. Its not being defensive, i think its really more where the heck are you guys getting your views on invul from cause it literally is the strongest set in the game if you build it right. thats not to say Rad isnt good mind you in fact it probably depends on personal preference - they both are unkillable. I have both but the invul seems slightly more durable in every situation.

Witchcraft I say, in the old days we would run jump and fly 2 miles in the snow uphill.
-
Where invul is up on the curb and then the stoner gets dejected cause those 5 inches are light years away.

We need to tap a seasoned claws person for the claws part, i have never ran it. I have heard its very good though. let me take a day to look it over and ask a few people some questions about claws and i will come up with something for you.

No, invul doesnt if its built right. The your impression is as wrong as the rest of your points about invul. Seriously I'm borderline thinking you are trolling on purpose at this point due to your insistence to ignore the mountain of evidence against your points.

Seriously, you are just so wrong in so many levels, DDR prevents defenses from failing. Enemies dont just slice through defenses on my Invul or my Shield and thats even with rage crash being a thing on my invul. Resistance is good, Defense is good, hybrids are good. The main difference between defense and resistance aside from the obvious is that defense makes stuff miss, not just the damage but also the debuffs of various kinds - resistance will not do that. That isnt to say Resistance is less valuable - but that is one advantage of defense over resistance. Honestly my ranking is #1. Invul #2 Shield #3 Rad #4 Willpower #5 Dark #6 Elec #7 Fire I cant speak to the effects of SR, Stone, Ice, or Bio cause i have never played them on a tank. Endurance issues? - seriously ever heard of performance shifter? or panacea - any build still having endurance issues in Homecomings universe is trying really hard to. There is nothing questionable about Invul, the fact that you can say that demonstrates that you havent a clue what you are talking about. take your pick here none of these are going to be easy to die on, but saturate invincibility on my invul-Infinitum and proc might of the tanker a few times and i have both sofcapped defenses and nearly capped resistances. its not very hard to do. Now take a look at my rad - Radianite - nearly capped to everything but cold - my invul is stronger, not by much but there are things it can do that my rad cant do. And that is experience in practice thats demonstrable - though many many hours of testing these to make them all unkillable. You have to try hard on all of them to die, or fall asleep and even then would be difficult on most of them. But in practice and through the numbers my Invul excels the best. And this is from a die hard shield Advocate, but a few tweaks carried the invul ahead by a slim margin. Yeah thats not how it works. I have tested it in game and while having defense is good even if you dont have ddr it will fail without DDR very fast. At best it allows you to absorb more of the alpha by some of it missing you.

Yeah it would be hard to make a tank an outright sapper like a Troller, if it could a nerf would be in order cause it would be unstoppable. You can drain but usually your damage will kill them before its anywhere close to a troller or Dominator. If you are looking for a tanky troller build that will sap everything around it to nothing and be unscathed try this build. Absolute_Surge_-_Controller_Electric_Control_-_Storm_Summoning.mxd

Operating on combo 2 for 20-30 seconds only while exemplared will not overly sway the balance of survival away from your favor, and if it did, that build was borked a while back any way. /respec is your friend there.

I remember Snow Plow, Lol we used to sing that jingle from the Simpson's Mr plow that's the name that name again is Mr plow. I also remember Outerspace Ace, King of Swords and Pyramidion. The Paragon Defense Force is back, it's good to see ya, look us up on excelsior some time.

I think you are describing such a limited cross section of play that IMO it wouldn't be worth sacrificing any mitigation numbers for exemplared content because at worst you would be fine hitting at combo level 2 for the small amount of time you wouldn't have hasten up. A tanks main job is to hold agro and survive it. Attacking is secondary, and you are describing what would be a very small cross section of time it would even apply. But, if you had to take it from anywhere take one of the slots out of unbreakable guard in any of the powers that have that slotted. and you can move it to initial strike, but that's a huge sacrifice for such a limited scope of gain. Hope that helps.
