Bump for mish/pd/base transporter interrupt being removed if possible. It's not even just ouro portals. Getting bumped by someone, a butterfly flapping its wings on another continent, another angel jumping onto the head of a pin, anything's liable to interrupt it.
/signed on 7,8. /jranger on 6. 10 if you don't get new spawns within a few seconds, there's a teleporter.
For 2 i have a square power tray to the left of my insps where i can easily monitor countdowns for macroed powers by keeping the power icons there.

Don't put them to a vote. Firi has enough alts to stuff any ballot box.

So to reword then. Does this mean an enemy has to be in my damage aura for 10 seconds before the proc has a chance to hit it? Because that would be pretty much worthless for anything other than AVs. Or does it mean there's a chance to proc when the enemy enters the aura and then not again for 10 seconds, which would be just short of worthless. Or does it automatically have a chance to proc every 10 seconds without regard to whether an enemy is there or whether it's been there for 10 seconds?

I wonder if we should factor in the extra 3 converters used when forgetting to take it back off in-set for the next conversion. Or is that just me?

Even easier than than showing up for the night vamp spawns is just starting a moonfire tf - the entire first mission is vamps. If they're all you need just keep restarting tf til you get them - at x8 it takes about a run and a half to a run and 2/3 depending on which map you get, but you can set the spawns to whatever you feel comfortable with. If you need wolves too run the second mission as well. I've been killing all the wolves in it but leaving the glowie and logging out for a second to reset. Once my wolves are done (again, run and a half-ish) i can restart the tf and be able to quit as soon as my vamp badge finishes, rather than having to finish the vamps to get to wolves again. Saves a minute or two. Bonuses to this are you get exp/drops, they don't take off running as much as grey cons, and any knockdown powers you use won't send them flying like a grey con. And no more sun coming up when you're at 197 😄

Activation period - is that from when you turn the power on or when it starts affecting the target?

Add in the extra hidden attacks from the stalker's guile proc and on a full team it's crit, crit, crit, crit....

The defense debuff protection in active defense can't be enhanced but of course the power will stack with itself. The DDR in battle agility will be enhanced by any defense enhancements you add to it. Capped that gives you about 53% on a scrap and 35 on a stalker with one stack of Active defense, which is all Pine's will show (stalker doesn't even have toggle on/off option). Grant cover will give some but also can't be enhanced. Ageless radial epiphany will add more but that of course diminishes over the duration of the buff. Tool tips says Ageless radial gives 21.25 for the last 1:30 of the power and double that for the first 30 seconds.
Can't give complete totals as my stalker doesn't have ageless yet (he's sitting at 71.5 without it, but not everyone will have double stacked active defense and grant cover) and my scrapper, which did, has been stripped of enhancements. Two days ago I could've told you for it too. But seeing as i'll be looking at 93.75 once ageless is in place on a stalker, it's probably something you don't need to be too concerned with once pimped out. Super reflexes gets 95% iirc, not sure if it's capped there or not. Someone less lazy than me could easily find out for all iterations on justin.

Sounds like your rage has crashed and they're only taking damage from their falling to the ground.

Ok finally a definitive answer for the debt badge needed for High Pain. First, make sure you have patrol exp to cover it or the debt will stop when you hit the threshold of the next badge and you'll have to leave and kill things to clear it (experienced charges from super packs are handy here). If you're under level 45 go to monster island from the Grandville sub, turn off shields, run into monkey mobs, repeat til 200k debt is paid off. If you're level 50 go to the abyss from the same sub and let a giant monster kill you. It only takes 3 deaths to go from 0-200k debt in that scenario, with the tradeoff being no HPT til 50. But if you PL'd your toon it's perfect.

I usually leave BuildUp as my auto power, so it just goes off whenever it can. Sure, I might not be able to time things perfectly, but I figure that's outweighed by the number of times I'd forget to hit it otherwise. Am I screwing myself over by doing this? Is there a better use of the one auto power we get?
I'd probably not do it since I want build up recharged for a new mob but if it's working for you, why not.

Here's mine. Just got it accoladed and not level shifted yet but I like it more than the scrap I rerolled it from already. Kinda jealous of the third telenuke in builds above. My single target chain is basically all charged, chain, ass shock with the occasional jacob for good measure and because it also toggles hasten to auto.

Defense softcap is key. I just rerolled my elec/shield scrap (which was itself a reroll of a brute on live) into a stalker, which I'm happier with. Defense was never the biggest problem once the scrap was IOd out - it was pecking away at remaining bosses with no minions/lieuts left alive to charge against all odds enough that my single target powers weren't trash. I also had an elec/shield tank on live which obviously had the same problem. Stalker assassin's strike solves the single target problem nicely. With scrap I'd recommend running without bosses and let it be your large mob purple drop roll toon.

I've yet to see any personal attacks and my 'dismissive tone' earlier wasn't intended as such. But referring to people who disagree with you for perfectly good reasons as 'rabble coming out with pitchforks' and attributing their disagreements to their not being economists, rather than to their just thinking you're wrong w/r/t the actual game's economy, seems to be both dismissive and attacking.

Well, it is true, four GMs have responded here and are actively trying to understand what Mr. User is asking. Mind you, we're just GMs, we don't set economic policy, and I'm the only one of us who was even in the room when the market was seeded. We're not really looking at major policy changes, here, unless Mr. User really convinces me and I send it to Jimmy.
Tough project there, convincing someone to intervene in a market to correct a non-existent inflation.
-
In general it just seems like the OP is requesting unnecessary changes be made to the economy such that it conforms to a personal standard yet to be made entirely clear for reasons yet to be made entirely clear. I wonder if this isn't all more about the p.v.p. pen and paper stuff OP mentioned than any actual issues with HC - i.e. in a previous situation OP successfully adjusted a bad economy so now looks to adjust other economies in a similar manner whether they're broken or not? Hammers, nails, the whole bit?

Hah, yeah I'm not that bad. It's more a strong opener than a berserker rage as a lot of my survivability is built on a blaster-style "they can't kill me if they're already dead" attitude when my click powers are down. Also, I need to start off Hidden so I have to hang out for a few seconds. I'm not a selfish teammate, honest!
That did make me chuckle, though.
Hmm. I was wondering about this as I have it slotted in with the rest of the set for the bonuses and I wondered how the recharge would impact it.
recharge in the power doesn't matter since it's not a PPM

Yes, I can. That literally used to be my job. I can also tell you how much things would cost if our goal was to optimize for any of several scenarios. I would do this by using math to show you how much Influence someone earns through normal gameplay as they level a character, and how many Merit Rewards they usually "accidentally" find as they do so. Then I would show you what the guides and Archetype forums say a normal level 50 build looks like, then I would work backwards to see what reasonable builds in the 20-25 range and level 35-40 range look like. I would say: "This is your budget in this level range, that build should cost an amount that pays attention to your budget. You can set things so they have to come up sort if you want them to work harder, or you can set things so they have extra flexibility. Once you've set your standard anything higher is either because you want the players to have to work more, or is an inflationary market fluctuation you didn't account for. If you have inflation you need to address that with market intervention/controls."
In your job did you arbitrarily not count assets? Because you're continually speaking as if the standard of earning should be based on vendoring prices but the standard of purchasing should be based on buy it nao market prices. The 'inflationary market fluctuation' can work in your favor too if you don't just limit yourself because of idk, rp? I don't get this insistence that a standard be set either. From what I can gather from hearing about the pre-market days there was never really a standard - people couldn't even afford to fully SO their toons until they got a 50 and could farm to get them and fund alts. In general though I just don't see the problem you're having. This economy is closer to a chicken in every pot than anything you're likely to come across in an mmo, much less in the real world.
Also note re the cost to generic IO that with so many trying to get their crafting badges you can get a lot of the crafted IOs on the AH for cheaper than the cost of the recipe at the crafting table. Level 50 ones are like 300k.
-
Just noticed that even though this is a weird global sort of proc it still seems to depend on the power it's slotted in being available and used, like a normal proc. Had to yank it out of lightning rod to charged brawl to get it functioning in the insane way i'd grown accustomed to on my other stalker. I'm prolly the last to get the memo here but thought i'd mention it in case i wasn't.

OP needs to remember that the live devs also balanced the game around SOs so it was quite easy to have a build finalized by level 50 without touching the auction house. You can do that on HC too and have more leftover inf because you'll be getting more drops to vendor. You could probably even fully common IO yourself without AH on HC by 50. If you're at regular XP and only run merit-rewarding arcs/TFs you could probably have a pretty decent set build by 50 without touching the AH. If the live devs had any intention of people being able to finance full IO set builds without touching the AH by level 50 then they failed miserably somewhere.
-
I finally ran into something my bio couldn't handle without mad clicking and insp use - the hydra heads while trying to solo Apex. Oddly the person with the solo record on the speed tf thread is using bio so it might just be my build.

I must've sold 40 or 50 LotG 7.5 over the weekend. I threw them up for under 7 and they all sold in minutes at 7 or 8 so I must've missed the window where the ebil marketeer was able to corner them. I'm not sure who these supposed hoarding speculators are, but it seems to me there's been a general downward trend on prices across the board apart from purples and some of the ATOs and winter IOs. And as has been mentioned, converters, bucketing and merits give a de facto hard cap on everything. I'm willing to pay a bit more than merit/conversion cost for some things just to avoid the hassle but if market costs got out of hand i have thousands of untouched merits on alts.
Also if the OP is getting a purple drop an hour they're likely killing so much they don't need to worry about inf anyway.

There are definitely better sellers than buyers, and I think there will be so long as it's one of the best ways to monetize merits. Like I've said early and often, converters are a really strange commodity, where people are dying to sell them to make inf, and people are dying to buy them to make even more inf.
A chicken in every pot, dogs and cats living together, quotations and metaphors mixing freely. It's paradise in our time.

Fire Blast / Martial Combat question on Throw Sand

I had it for a while leveling. Never remembered to use it and didn't particularly need it but seemed meh when i did use it. Didn't have room in my final build so can't speak to its utility on a fully IOd toon.
