I don't know , "S" on the keyboard backs you up, "W" moves forward, "A" strafes left, "D" strafes right, "R" turns forward on auto. If you want to change the Camera veiw you can select "Free Camera Movement" so that it isn't always over your shoulder, it is in the options under Graphics and Audio I believe. @Lunar Roninhas you covered.

You know, as long as I can still take Roughneck and his shovel, and Tour the Fortress thrashing on crowd after crowd of Level 54 Cimmeroran Traitors, I'm good. Have never set a stop watch to measure performance or DPS, just not my thing. My reason for going on Open Beta was to make sure he hadn't been, ahem, gelded. All i care about is being able to hang in a fight when teaming to benefit the team and take care of myself if I'm not.

Copied a Tank I have been playing a lot of late, Roughneck - INV/War Mace, to Open Beta and gave it a run around the block. I could definitely see the drop in Damage, but it really wasn't game breaking. This particular power combo is for me, one of the more DPS high, so it still has decent output. I imagine the changes could be much more painful on some other lower damage secondaries. I solo a lot because of where and when I play, so as long as I can still do that, I'm good. A Tank's primary role on a team is not going to be made ineffective by these changes and did not seem to change aggro or stckiness. I can always look at some Enhancement Upgrades after it goes live if it seems like it needs some "oomph" put back.

Sounds like it's time for the trail of breadcrumbs pool power.....

They should be able to, just start a support ticket. Include in the ticket everything you know about the account, such as Global Handle, Character Names and what shards they are on if you remember. This will give them something to backtrack from. I would start a separate ticket for each account.

disappearing empty character slots after character transfer
Marine X replied to Ridiculous Girl's topic in Bug Reports
It's possible that it may be holding the slots as unavailable until the Character Transfer is completed successfully so that it has someplace to put them if it should fail, that way the characters aren't lost. Just a guess but it would make sense. How long did you wait before checking for available slots? -
All the above being said.... I don't have a problem with old threads being added to, when it is say, a help and support thread. That shows that the person with an issue has tried to resolve their own issue by researching similar issues and that the items and solutions from this older thread have been tried and did not resolve their issue. It gives the people trying to find a solution more to go on to resolve their problem. Many times I am much more annoyed when we have 3 or 4 threads started at about the same time on the same issue because the posters failed to even look to see if there was already discussion going on about the issue they are having.

Already have plenty of regular ARCs with giant NPC, between the giant version of Diabolique, Avatars of Hamidon, War Walkers and the like. The idea of making custom ones would be intriguing just have to see if it can be done. If not, it would be nice if they could make the existing ones available for use on limited maps for original story use in AE.

One of my biggest "what is going on?" events is when you jump to get over something and get stuck on top of it doing a surfing pose, it will not let you go forward or jump, you have to back up and try again. What is that? Really weird that it goes to a specific pose and keeps you stuck like that.

i broke the character creator button... :(
Marine X replied to Ridiculous Girl's topic in Bug Reports
I would delete Playerslot.txt file offline then load game and see if that corrects it. That file has been known to be easily corrupted causing missing characters, etc, could be your issue. -
It could also be related to updates to your graphics, or graphics software packages. The Nividia Experience and Radeon Adrenalin both create a whole bunch of issues.

Flashback mission "They call me the doctor" lvls 35-39 0.37
Marine X replied to Etched's topic in Help & Support
Don't know but running that mission gets you the " Doctor's Ally badge " but there are other missions and a Story Arc through the Contact ( Gordon Stacy ). -
If you happen to have Dual Monitors I seem to recall an Issue where CoH will only work if on Monitor 1. Also found this post...
-
Keep in mind it could be an internet issue unique to COH. To get to the servers you play connect the dots thru Central Offices of carriers other than your ISP along the way, any one of them may be an issue. Since Reunion is in Germany not Canada like the rest, the path there is likely totally different. So depending on where you are, I would see what happens if you log to the other server / servers. If the crashes stop, the solution may be setting up a VPN to Homecoming that will avoid the issue. If not you aren't out anything but the time to try it. I would also run /netgraph 1, it may give you some idea what is happening. Running /netgraph 1 in game puts a little connection monitor in the lower right corner of your screen. Out of the way and you can let run while playing. In the chat line type: /netgraph 1 to turn off /netgraph 0 Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications

The only merger that I am aware of, where Characters were moved, was with Victory. As @GM Crumpet mentioned some of the Shards on your list are Staff Only. Everybody else came to Homecoming as a Clean Slate, no SCoRE transfers, no reactivating Accounts from Live ( Cryptic/ Paragon Studios Era ). The Paragon Shard you played on may not be the same one you are trying to access. As far as Experimental or Paragon, they are above my Security Clearance, and I'm guessing yours as well, unless you are a GM or Developer.
-
Paragon is one of the default names if you build your own server from the OuroDev i25 installer. As far as I know there is no public server with that Name, but there it is. Why do you believe that is the server you need to connect to? Homecoming should be at the top of the list in the Launcher, other private servers are out there, but you will need to contact them regarding connection issues and troubleshooting.

Actually, this is a known bug. I've had it happen on Multiple Characters and always when both the Tuatha and Myself are nowhere close to any borders. Took a Screenshot of the location I was at last time it happened. Not even a little bit close to not in the correct area. Been like this for quite a while.

Most of what you have described sounds like Normal server lag during high population times. If you are on Excelsior or Everlasting this is fairly common when a new community event drops or during large group events ( Hami, MSR, etc ). Not even sure what this is, but would love to hear more. CoH comes from an era of gaming where even small drops in bandwidth can cause noticeable issues and it doesn't buffer like videos, it needs a real time connection. You can try running netgraph ( type /netgraph 1 in the chat bar ) and you will see a small graph in the lower right of your screen. It will not affect gameplay. ( /netgraph 0 to turn off ) Any issues with connection are amplified when server load is high and you can compare your results to the list below. Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications Most of this is Client ( you ) side, high server population just makes it worse. Server side issues everyone experiences

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Marine X replied to Glacier Peak's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I remember a particular Storyline from years ago when Sue became co-opted by Malice. She beat the pants off the whole team. Between the costume she was wearing, and the way she used her powers aggressively, her teammates never guessed it was her. Neither did I. It really showed that she could very easily be the most powerful member of the FF. -
Use AI to translate in-game dialogue.
Marine X replied to captainstar's topic in Website Suggestions & Feedback
They technically never removed anything. The individual Shards can be run in say French or German, but only one at a time. You are remembering the old German and French servers from live, but those are all or nothing, not Multi-Lingual. The settings for Language are global and are in the initial setup of the Server/Shard should someone wish to Set up one for any of the supported choices. I don't think they ever went beyond French, German, maybe Spanish and Korean ( for their Cancelled Server ). -
Use LaunchCat to do the install instead of Island Rum. LaunchCat is preferred as it is more secure and created by a member of the Homecoming Crew, so it gets good support if there are issues.

lost connection to server, but only on wired connection
Marine X replied to Warboy's topic in Help & Support
Do you know anyone with a Laptop with an Ethernet port that could connect it to your cable with Wifi off and see if it works for them. It sounds to me as though there is an issue with the wired connections on the router or the network port on the PC, it would help to narrow down the which one is responsible. Switch Port connections can be very finnicky some times if you unplug and replug the cable while they are active, also the wires/pins in the socket can gradually get bent inward causing a loose connection that can fail easily, you may be able to notice this visually. My Win7 laptop I use on older systems at work has this exact issue. -
Have never tried Enabling " Hide Inspiration Tray Full Warning " but you shouldn't receive the warning with that enabled in options.
-
If you look at your Inspiration Tray, are there any open spots for additional Inspirations? Turning off the full message won't allow you to receive more. You can only carry as many as you have slots for in the tray or you will receive that message. You can however, as you mentioned, email Inspirations to yourself if you need more and retrieve them from your email in mission.
