  1. The why... who knows, most of this was done by the original Devs who are not here anymore. My guess is since they are now free auto powers, with no endurance cost, they didn't want them to become Set Mules, so they didn't open them up to be Enhanced with Sets. Granted they were still a Pool Power Set when Invention Sets were introduced in Issue 9 but have never allowed Sets to be slotted. That's 10 issues before they became Inherent, so I'm sure there was a reason, just not sure what it was. These days it is a freebie, and very useful in a lot of builds. Sorry this has become a sore spot for the OP, if I went to the trouble of Crafting or buying an Enhancement I would want to be able to use it. From the Wiki for Informational purposes: Overview Inherent Fitness is a set of Inherent Powers. They are all Auto Powers, providing their bonus at no cost to Endurance. They can be enhanced like other universal inherent powers such as Rest and Sprint. Fitness was changed from a Power Pool to an Inherent Power in Issue 19. The old level requirements were level 6 for Swift and Hurdle, level 14 for Health, and level 20 for Stamina. Inherent fitness powers were changed to unlock at level 1 rather than level 2 in Issue 27 Page 2.
  2. Please read the previous post. All it needs to work is for enough knowledgeable players to join it and people needing help to be aware it is available. I think it would help lighten the load on the Homecoming GMs, especially on holidays and busy times when resources are stretched thin.

It has been tested and confirmed that if you are a Member, as in, Chose to join the channel, "Global Help", you will see chat from anyone who joins regardless of the shard they are on or you are on. Also you only need to join on one Character per Global, all characters under that Global Handle are then part of the channel.
  4. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have at least 1 50+ on every shard, and since I spend most of my time on low population shards I'm usually available to help if need be. In that, I also imagine I'm not alone. Started on Halcyon before it was renamed Reunion and moved to Germany. I'm in Ohio, USA and most of my playtime is early mornings, 4;00-6:00am on weekdays so it's pretty quiet there. Weekends are a mixed bag as to when I play. My first screen of Characters on Reunion are all 50s, and I've naturally leveled up at least 1 everywhere else just so I could be available elsewhere if the need arose. The Global Help channel will allow me to do that, if anyone bothers joining it that is.
  5. Chat Channel " Global Help " already exists for anyone interested. You simply have to join it to use it.
  6. Are you using the Game Account Name listed in the Game Account Menu? Is it possible that your Caps Lock is on? Is there a O or 0, or I or 1 in the Name that could be the issue?
  7. I'm not sure I understand your point. The channel is one you would have to ENABLE to view it, not disable to avoid. If it's not something you want to view you won't have to do a thing. The biggest issue is the people who it would benefit most probably lack the know how to add the tab anyway.

Just wondering if the 2500 member limit for user created Chat Channels is an adjustable thing or an absolute limit, as it could be reached fairly easily since it is available to anyone on any Shard both to help and be helped. Anything that could be resolved on this Channel would be one less thing the actual GMs have to deal with.

I don't see how adding 1 extra slot at vet level 100 is going to be game breaking or create Steamrolling Death Machines, I have no problem with this Idea and agree it would be a nice way to commemorate that level of commitment to your character. Only question, How would this slot be treated when Exempared? I think it would probably be disabled doing any content below 47.
  11. I don't know if it is possible but was just thinking it would be nice for players on lower population Shards to have a Global Help Channel. It would be available as a Tab option only if you chose to add it but would allow Players needing help, whether with a Mission or just a question to make a Post that would not be limited to their shard and would be visible to anyone who chose to add the channel to their chat. I have level 50 characters on every shard and would be willing to lend a hand if needed, as I am sure many others would, but currently there is no way to communicate between shards except by a direct global message. This would allow that. As stated, it would be completely optional. I know maintenance and donation messages appear to be capable of this, so I'm thinking it should be possible. Let me know what you think.
  12. Sounds as if you are using something other than the Homecoming Launcher to access the game. If it is Tequilla, the Manifest updates when updates drop, such as today for the April Fools event, are not instantly available as they are for the HC Launcher. I would suggest downloading it now as they have already stated that Tequilla is not going to be supported much longer. If this is your original forum account, just go to the Game Account tab at the top of this page, and select Game Account from the List, your Game User name will be displayed and it will let you change the Game Account password. Forum Account and Game Account are two separate things. If this is not your original forum account, you will need to start a support ticket. Please include the Email Address you used to sign up, and any other info you can recall such as your Global handle, Character Names, etc.

  16. Have had this happen several times, not sure if it is an artifact from a listed item or just a glitch, but always is a 1 for me. Logging out and back into toon does not clear it but quitting to desktop does, not sure what it is.

There is a button in "options, windows" to set Chat Tabs "from Default" or save "to Default" but it doesn't seem to roll back changes made to the tab if you have no saved config, rather it allows you to Save your tab preferences as a file, so you can load them onto new characters, Close, but not quite what you were looking for.
  18. ( Copied from a previous post ) You may want to check your connection to see if anything is going on there. While connected to game server, type in the Chat " /netgraph 1 " without quotes, " /netgraph 0 " turns it off. Even though you can play other games with no issues there may be an issue getting to the Homecoming server due to the path it uses to connect. While it is on ,in the lower right corner of the screen, you will see a series of bars, what these mean is as follows... Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications You can also try pinging the server, at a Command Prompt, ( search pc for cmd and it should be in the results ), type the following: " ping 51.161.76.201 -t " without quotes and hit enter. if the response time varies greatly or hangs there is a connection issue.
  19. Not exactly, Echo: Faultline and Echo: Dark Astoria still have the Historic Mobs from their original state. Echo: Faultline is the quickest way to get Gearsmasher as there are Clockwork Princes in Abundance along the eastern side and Badge Hunting ( at the zones level ) is extremely challenging with a lot of the Badges at the bottom of Crevasses with lots of Circle of Thorns loitering around. Same in the case of Echo: Dark Astoria, getting the Badges there can be a bit of work if you are around the zones level range. Those 2 can still be entertaining.

  21. Tried /stuck, 5 times, did nothing. Not sure why. Spastic jumping, nothing. The Jet pack finally got me loose, glad because I had all but completed the mission. Thought about posting to Geometry Thread but it seems more like a chair where it doesn't belong, except it's a rock. I should have taken a Screenshot while stuck but didn't think of it till after I was free. Only thought I had was it might be a Boulder thrown by a Granite or Sentry that for whatever reason didn't derez. I will check that location the next time I have a mission on that map to see if it is a persistent map feature or it was just a glitch.
  22. In the "Alter Portal Devices" mission I was leaping up from the lower level of the Map and encountered a floating, angry rock that I became embedded in. Took me about 5 minutes of changing directions with Jet Pack activated to finally break free, the upper half of my toon was stuck in the rock. It is just hanging there beside the rock face, taunting me. anyway.....
  23. Also make sure you are using your Game Account Password, it is separate from your Forum Password and can be reset at the Game Account tab at the top of this page.
  24. The leveling pace slows down dramatically after you pass 20 and continues to slow as it takes more and more XP to hit the next level. If you are at -1 x 0 ( or 1 ) you will get the least XP for your efforts, may be worth nudging it up and see how it goes, you can always turn it back down. Patrol XP helps but if you really want a boost you should check out the START Vendor who has several XP Boosts available.
  25. Since you can log in to forums this should be an easy one. At the top of this page click "Game Account". In the list select "Game Account" and it will display your "User Name", if you have chosen one and allow you to reset the Password. The Forum Username and Password will not get you in the Game, only the Game Account Username and Password. Be sure to Document your choices for security reasons.
