Not really a big advocate for the PVP experience but I think the rules should stay as is. The small group of people who do PVP have built toons just for PVP and it would be a disservice to them to change things just so we could more comfortably invade the part of the game they enjoy most. If I want the badges or temp powers from there it is on me to accept the way things are there or don't go there. There is already enough unused space in the PVE side of the game without encroaching on the PVP zones. Just how I look at it.

I went to PVP zones pretty regularly on Live ( Virtue ) and had a pretty good experience with it till almost every time I set foot there solo a Team would swoop in and it was over in a few minutes. When you could take a team there and set up matches, which I think America's Angel still does, PVP can be a lot of fun. When it's a mugging, not so much. Haven't even seen a player in any of the PVP Zones in the 5+ years of Homecoming, so I think this isn't really necessary. I like keeping the basic parts of the game as they are now.

If English is a 2nd language you might want to consider playing on Reunion, it is based in Germany and you may find some people from your language background there. It is not as populated as some of the other shards, but you said you were planning to solo a lot and it may provide a better connection if it is closer to you. Be sure to check out the free items and available for purchase items from the START vendor just west of the Atlas statue in Atlas Park, many good things there to get you off to a good start. On Champions Online I had someone follow me around for 2 hours while I was trying to complete an open world hunt, killing all my targets and constantly challenging me to Duel them. I had told them no repeatedly but they decided they could provoke me by interfering in my mission. That was the last time I ever played that game. So Not interested.

Was in Terra Volta working on the Freak Tank and Super Stunner badges when the Zombies attacked the Zone. Moved my Tank up onto some power lines to wait it out. When Zombies spawned in the air and fell to the ground the nearby Freaks began actively attacking them and Visa Versa. Have never seen that before. I almost exclusively play Tanks and I guess being out of taunt range allowed them to act differently. Has this always been the case? Fun to watch anyway.

Make sure you are using the Game Account User name and Password not the forum User name and Password. You can view the Game Account User name by clicking on the Game Account Tab at the top of this page and it will let you update the password.

If the Auto Complete prompt came up it was because you went back to the contact without having completed the mission. Look at the mission window, when the mission is done you will get a mission complete overlay and either an exit button if it is instanced or a return to contact. In some cases you may automatically be assigned a new mission, just check the mission tab. No worries, and you're not banned, just out of auto completes till the posted date.

Used to have a Taxi-bot on live, and Marina Medbot, a healing , buffing Robot. On Homecoming the only thing I have is "El Jugedor" ( which means The Player ) who is the manager of EL Super Mexicano. I was going to make a base that at entry was the store fronts from atlas near the restaurant and when you clicked on the door you would get pt to pt TP to the Interior of the restaurant. He's still level one, and the base is stuck in development hell.

No, the Homecoming Launcher is fully supported by the HC Crew and is the best way to go. Support for Island Rum is limited and will eventually be phased out altogether.

Have you tried connecting to Reunion? It is located in Germany and if there is something blocking your connection as it hops to Homecoming in Canada that may avoid it. If that works you may be able to use a VPN to avoid the issue, worth a try anyway.

Welcome Everlasting is the Unofficial RP Server and Excelsior has the largest population followed by Torchbearer. Reunion is located in Germany if you are in Europe, all the others are in Canada. Victory and Indomitable are lower population if you want a quieter experience. Brainstorm is the Open Beta server. You can have characters on any server and limited server transfers are available if you chose to relocate. You may lose your Name if it has already been taken on the destination server. I have placed a Midnighter Loremaster in my base as a test. Seems to work as intended. I also have a Vanguard Trainer and it is still functional as well. Tried placing a second Midnighter LM in Entrance room and it works as well, all three at the same time. Not sure what is up but whatever it is, is specific to your base or shard, My tests were on my bases on Reunion and Excelsior. I also created a new toon on Reunion, created a SG and SG base, and was able to place a Midnighter LM and Vanguard Trainer in the raw base and they worked as intended. What Shard are you on? What room are you placing the NPC in? Does the Vanguard Trainer work if placed?

I've been noticing some changes to the strength of their Taunt as well, and noticed a confuse effect from one of the other Crey, I think Crey Crisis Units, that since I'm solo, just detargets all enemies since no team mate is present to "confuse" me to attack. Really Odd, and I don't recall that happening before.

Has it worked in the past and stopped working or is this an initial setup. I have a similar video card but only a single monitor and ditched Adrenaline and just use the basic driver. Have never really had any issues running Homecoming or anything else, just wanted to avoid the bloat of the graphics package. My specs:

Have always seen this piece of wall art and thought this must be a photoshop mod of a Dev, Player or CoH Staff Selfie. Anyone ever heard anything? It is way more Photo realistic than anything else in the game and have always been curious if there is a story behind it.

If I get on Excelsior I have no lag or rubber banding, which this idiot's experience tells me the issue is not on the server end unless under heavier load when you connect, there were lag issues back when the game was live when under heavy loads, so it can certainly happen here. Depending on where you are, you may jump through multiple ISPs on your way to connect to Homecoming in Canada, something a speed test doesn't cover. All the shards are in the same place except Reunion which is in Germany, so load is the only variant between the NA shards. I would also run /netgraph 1, it may give you some idea what is happening. Running /netgraph 1 in game puts a little connection monitor in the lower right corner of your screen. Out of the way and you can let run while playing. In the chat line type: /netgraph 1 to turn off /netgraph 0 Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications

If using The HC Launcher You may also try rebooting your modem and router, they sometimes need that in order to connect properly.
