  1. Hi all, I am returning to Homecoming after an elongated break and want to make some quick cash to load out some new toons. Please help me maximize my spines/fire farmer for farming on the AE meteor map. If AE farming has changed at all or if there is a new, more efficient way to farm influence I am all ears!   3. I want to roll an assault rifle blaster and was looking for a synergetic secondary other than the usually recommended /dev or /em. One set in particular that spiked my interest was Plant. Do these two sets go well together? If so, are there any powers worth skipping in plant? Is there another secondary that compliments AR just as well?

    This is epic! Any chance you could post full costume? Also how do you get a character to hold a weapon like that up to their chest? I see it in screen shots all the time but have never been able to figure it out myself.

  6. I recently created a post asking for recommendations on powersets that can be recolored to represent sand, similar to @Damoklese above. I got a lot of suggestions and am now looking for costume inspirations.

     

    Who’s got a cool sand / Egyptian / mummy themed toon they want to show off? I’m away from my computer right now but will post some designs later to get the ball rolling if no one posts!

  7. I recently rolled up a toon based on the various enemy types from the video game series Kingdom Hearts. Attached are my attempts at the Heartless Soldier, Air Soldier and Pirate. The reference images I used have been pasted below each attempt. Any feedback to improve the heart design or the costumes in general would be greatly appreciated. The only one I am particularly happy with is the Soldier.

     

    Extra kudos to anyone who can manage to make a good Defender costume as well!

  9. I have little to no experience with either Dark Blast or Super Reflexes, so I tried my best here...

     

    The goal is to be able to tank mobs of +? / x8 with little to no issue. I know this may be a tall order for a Sentinel, but I figured Dark Blast's -to hit paired with SR's capped positional defenses could make this a reality. Initial plan was to take Provoke from the Presence tree to maintain aggro, but I can't find a way of squeezing it in (it really sucks you can only spec into 4 different pool powers!) 

     

    One thing I attempted but I know needs addressing are my slotting for procs. I have heard that Dark Blast can be lifted from a mildly underwhelming set to an above average / respectable set through the use of procs. If there are any changes or different ways to frankenslot procs please feel free to advise, critique, provide suggestions, etc.

  10. @Bionic_FleaThanks for the build / suggestions! After looking it over, I was wondering - is there any world where giving up Zapping Bolt and Tesla Cage becomes worth? Assuming I am focusing solely on AoE sapping enemy mobs as much as possible, could something like the following build actually be effective?

    edit:  Power Sink is faster than SC.  It may be better to depend on the TB recovery debuff and do TB (+absorb) and PS instead. 

    I thought about this a bit and although the idea is very sound I ultimately think there’s no way I can put the ATO absorb proc in TB. I need the 5 piece bonus from Sentinel’s Ward in order to get smashing, lethal and melee defense. If I put this in TB then I’m cutting out the end mods currently slotted which defeats the purpose of the build. What I could do is shift PS’s current slots and set with SC’s current slots and set, making PS more of the hard end sucker after TB given it’s faster animation time. 
     

    I’ve also been experimenting with dropping zapping bolt and picking up lightning field and 6 slotting it with Spr Avalanche for the set bonuses, but based on your information above this may not be worth. 

  12. Below is my first attempt at a sapper build. I have tested it on a few different farms with relative success, but I know there is a ton of room for improvement.

     

    The idea is to stealth in, short circuit, power sink and finish with thunderous blast. This leaves most mobs short of an EB or AV completely drained of endurance. Ball Lightning picks off any units with remaining endurance.

     

    I am very aware that my defenses are lacking and resists are not capped. Slotting 3 dmg IOs and 3 end mod IOs in both Ball and TB severely hurt set bonuses, but I see no other way of effectively building for end drain. 6 dmg would leave me with little to no end sapping ability and 6 end mod would be overkill. 

     

    This build is primarily meant to be support focused - I am well aware endurance sapping is probably the least effective secondary effect / debuff, but I wanted to give it an honest go. I chose Barrier for my lack of defense / resist caps and Gravitic for its -recovery procs. 

     

    TLDR; This is my attempt at a sapper build - any critiques, feedback, suggestions, etc. are welcome!
