No worries there.  Tequila is in C:\CoH; Homecoming will be in C:\Games\CoH.  I still have no clue as to why I didn't install the game into the \Games folder in the first place.

[Transitioning from Tequila to Homecoming Launcher]

Apologies if this isn't posted in the proper forum.

 

As the title suggests, I wish to use the Homecoming Launcher from now on (I currently use Tequila).

 

Under the Installation Guide in the Getting Started forum, it says this:

Installing the game to a new directory is no problem.  The problem that I'm having trouble with is the next sentence.

What exactly does this mean?  It says that it will copy over game data, saved settings, and costumes.  Game data could mean characters, SG Bases, (and costumes, which are mentioned).

 

Does this mean that I will lose all of my characters and have to start completely over?  😨

 

Should I uninstall Tequila and CoH and then install the Homecoming Launcher, download the game and hope that my Game Account doesn't get wiped?  😧

 

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.  👍

I would really like to get CoH Modder on my computer, but I'm not very computer-literate.

 

When I open my Task Manager, I see 3 processes with Norton's in the title.  IF I 'End Task' on these 3 things, will it turn Norton's completely off?

 

And to turn it back on after the download, do I just reboot my computer?

First off, let me tell you how much I love having these maps back.  Thank you so much for doing this! 😁 

 

There's a bit of a problem though . . . 

 

Here's the situation:

 

I'm trying to collect all Exploration Badges in every zone for the Reward Merits to buy Enh Boosters.  I found them all in the Sewers Network, so I decided (while I'm there) to do the Abandoned Sewers Network.

 

I found them all except for #7 (Living Dark).

 

Here's where my hero is:

 

 

Please note the mini-map.  I should be looking right at it but the badge is nowhere in this room so I looked it up on HCWiki. 

 

According to HCWiki, (copy and pasted from the HCWiki), here's a pic of where the Badge really is:

 

 

 

That doesn't look anything like the room that my hero is in.

 

According to HCWiki, here's the description of where the badge is: (again, copy and pasted from HCWiki)

 

"The Living Dark badge is in Dr. Vahzilok's lab in the Underworld area. It is toward the back of the room, on a raised area of metal grating.

Its coordinates are (-896, -890, -1018)."

 

Please note the yellow rectangle in the Chat Window of the first pic.  These are the coordinates that my hero is at.

Finally, a double thank-you for drawing the blue line on the mini-map making easier to navigate down in the Sewers and Abandoned Sewers.  👍

Ladies and gentlemen, my Alpha Slot is finally done!  I did TPN tonight (I now have all of the badges for Master of TPN) and got the Thaumic Resonator to finish the Vigor Core Paragon.  WOOT!

 

Lore and Destiny are unlocked and Hybrid is already 20% unlocked.

 

I also tried a DD itrial again tonight and it went much better . . . I got all of the badges needed for the Master of DD badge.  I only kissed the floor once during the final battle.  It happened just as D launched her final attack before falling.  I couldn't believe it!

Finally!  For some reason, when I extracted the files to the newly created \data\texture_library folder, it created another \data\texture_library folder inside the texture_library folder.  Once I noticed that, I copied the contents of the extra texture_library folder to the one I created, and then I deleted the folders that the mod created.

 

Everything is now working perfectly.  Thanks again!  😁👍

Hi!

 

I'd like to get the moremaps4u thing working but I can't get anything to work.

 

I play the game through the Tequila Launcher on Windows10 Home 64Bit.  Maybe I should switch to the Homecoming Launcher?

 

I downloaded the More Maps for U (13.1 MB) zip file and the Original PC (32.8MB) exe file from the original post.

 

I can't find the Tequila installation folder for the game on my PC.  I had my PC search the C drive (the only hard drive in the comp) for 'Tequila' but the only thing that it found was the Desktop Shortcut.  I know that's probably staring me right in the face but I can't find it. 

 

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  👍

I created a toon on Excelsior like you suggested to reserve a name.  I couldn't think of a name that I liked as much as Radiant Beauty so I put a hyphen between the words.  Radiant-Beauty is standing at the beginning of the Outbreak Tutorial on the Excelsior server.  I hate the hyphen but what can you do?

 

Now the question:  Do I run the new toon on Excelsior avoiding door-sitting and Double XP Buffs and learn how to run the toon properly OR do I transfer Radiant Beauty (and all of her stuff) from Indom to Excelsior? 

 

One upside of running the new toon (R-B) is that I can do all of the Safeguard missions that I missed with the old toon (RB) on Indom.  I don't know if there's a way for RB (old toon on Indom) to go back and do them.  Is there?  🤷‍♂️

Secondly, a list of my (probably faulty) thinking in eliminating each Ability:

1.   Cognitive = I didn't feel like it 'went' with my toon thematically.  I mean, all of a sudden, I'm Confusing people and doing Psi dmg?
2.   Degenerative = The -Max HP DeBuff is nice, but again, all of a sudden, I'm doing Toxic dmg?
3.   Diamagnetic = One of the final contenders.  I didn't see anything wrong with it.  I just didn't pick it.
4.   Gravitic = Another of the finalists.  I just felt doing Def DeBuff and Dmg DeBuff was the better choice.
5.   Paralytic = My choice.  See #4.
6.   Preemptive = It just didn't say 'Pick me!' to me.  I'm sure that it's fine but not for this toon.
7.   Reactive = Not a bad choice, but once again, all of a sudden, I'm doing Fire dmg?
8.   Spectral = I thought about it, but ultimately (wrongly) chose Paralytic instead.

Luckily, just because I picked Paralytic, it doesn't mean that it's set in stone.  Since you recommended Spectral Radial as one of your favorites, I can always start over with Spectral and that's what I'll do.  👍

Also, while I have your attention, in the MIDs build, the Invention Level on most Enhs is L50+5.  What does the +5 mean?  Do I need to wait until I reach Veteran Level 5 before creating the enhs?

I've done the respec to @DreadShinobi's build with the Sets so the enhancement slots are all in the right spot.

 

I've decided to go with Void for the Judgement slot  (I still can't get over how they misspelled Judgment) and Paralytic for the Interface slot.

 

Lore and Destiny are at 55% and 56% respectively.

 

I just need a Thaumic Resonator and I'll be completely done with Alpha.

 

I took part in my first Dilemma Diabolique iTrial.  What a disaster!  All those toggles (Tough, Weave, Combat Jumping etc) activated and I kept getting one-shotted!  We failed miserably.  Heck, I kept running out of END and all I was doing was Transfusion, Transference, and Fulcrum Shift.

Well, the name Radiant Beauty is already taken on Excelsior.  I thought that it may have been because I use the name on Indom so I renamed Radiant Beauty:  Radiant Beauty A.  I then went back to Excelsior but Radiant Beauty still wasn't available.  Oh well, maybe I'll think up a name that I like just as much.  (I went back to Indom and changed RB's name back to what it was.)  Then again, I could just transfer RB to Excelsior but I'm not sure if names are Server-specific or Global.  What I mean is I have Radiant Beauty on Indom.  Is it possible that someone is already using that name on Excelsior?  If I try to transfer RB to Excelsior, will I have to change her name, or will I get to keep it?

Another thought that occurs to me is that I should just start playing on Excelsior and restart RB at Level 1, and this time, stay away from Power-Leveling by door-sitting on AE farms.  Just get used to the powers as I select them (while leveling up normally) to get a feel for how they all can work together in combat and support.  I PL'ed from L16 to L32, L35 to L41, and then L43 to L50.  That's a lot of combat experience that I missed out on.

 

Of course, if I do this, I'll have to come up a name for my new SG.   My SG on Indom is The Island of Misfit Heroes II.  It's an homage to the SG that I was a part of back when the game was Live.  It had a great bunch of people in it.  We had a Skype thing going on.  We even had The Island of Misfit Villians (Yes, I know it's not spelled correctly and you know it's not spelled correctly, but that's how the Founders spelled it).  🤨

 

Every Friday night, we do a TF.  If someone only needed to complete 1 more TF (say, Citadel) to get the TFC Accolade, we'd run that.  It was a great bunch of people (as I said) to run with, and I often wonder what they're doing now . . . maybe they're playing again and I don't know it.

I just took part in my first UG Trial.  I hate Spore Infestation!  RB kissed the floor a few times just from that but it was worth it.   Not only is my Alpha slot unlocked, but Judgement (sp?) and Interface are both 75%.

 

I currently have Vigor Core Boost equipped in my Alpha slot.

 

For the Judgement slot, I was thinking of Void Core Final Judgement.

 

For the Interface slot, I was thinking of Gravitic Core Flawless Interface.

 

Any thoughts on the Judgement and/or the Interface slots?
