  1. The only way I could possibly see someone earnestly claiming they "have" to do that is if they also actually took LRT on dozens or hundreds of characters.
  2. Yeah, I'm gonna be honest, I personally look forward to the asymmetrical costume option features mostly because it will let you make symmetrical costumes using normally asymmetrical options, like the peg legs and pirate hooks.
  3. The Shadow Shard zones (and all hazard zones) aren't even valid destinations for LRT.
  4. You're free to ignore Energy Focus and still enjoy buffs such as stronger Energy Punch and Whirling Hands, faster Total Focus and Bone Smasher, and Power Crash.
  5. One idea I pushed in closed beta was to make it so your LRT options depend on how many Teleport pool powers you have. Something like: 0-1: collect zone accolades like everyone else; 2: Get one accolade and unlock all city zones as destination, still need to unlock hazard zones; 3 or more: all zones available with one zone accolade. There are UI issues with letting LRT give you access to every single zone, though, so such a change might have to wait for those to be resolved.
  6. Determining the sets a power should take by the shape of the AoE will always be a double standard, because either melee-range TAoEs will be taking ranged IO sets, or ranged cones will be taking melee IO sets (or you'll just be arbitrarily determining whether cones take PBAoE or TAoE, I guess, since apparently Range slottability doesn't matter). Determining it by the names of the sets, as in, semantically, is going to be extremely flimsy, and should basically mean every kind of AoE except ones that don't require a target would use TAoE sets. Determining it by whether or not the power accepts Range enhancements is the only consistent, logical way to do it.
  7. TA has no melee attacks because Powerhouse was working with extremely limited tools when he put it together, and couldn't make the animations work. Simple as that.
  8. I do think it would be better if Force of Thunder was 100% chance of knockdown rather than 30% chance of knockback, but having the sustain in Dynamo feels so much better to play for me.
  9. Melee attacks and powers are a staple of Blaster secondaries. It's not about every Blaster being the same, it's about the power sets doing what they're expected to do, same as Blaster primary sets letting you attack from range or Controller secondaries giving you buffs and debuffs.
  10. Exploits don't make the beta patch notes, and Regen preventing you from dying in a fight is an exploit
  11. Arbitrary: based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system. Since we'd be changing them based on whether or not they can slot Range enhancement, it would be, by definition, not arbitrary.
  12. Siphon Life does scale 1.96 damage, the same as any other 10s recharge attack using the Standard Damage Formula. It's a staple attack for the set.
  13. I'd certainly appreciate the change for consistency.
  14. Either way it's not gonna make sense. It'll either be an immobilize power that inexplicably does -Res, or a -Res power that inexplicably immobilizes. At least with the former there's no new FX work needed.
  15. So is this like an, OCD, compulsion thing? Because nothing's forcing you to complete your LRT destinations list, and you've lost nothing if you didn't spend a power pick on LRT.
  16. Cauterizing Aura lost the ability to slot Accurate Healing sets, too, because the heal isn't dependent on the tohit check. Not a change I necessarily agree with, but there it is. Edit: Oh wait, that change actually didn't go through. Well, it still might, now we've brought it up.
  17. So why shouldn't it use the melee-centric IO set?
  18. Range/melee has everything to do with it, the sets are designed around whether they'll be put in ranged or melee attacks.
  19. Why do you have to get the accolades on every character?
  20. Right - a melee fireball, so it should take the sets for melee AoEs.
  21. You can see them! About 25% of Scrappers, Brutes, and Tankers take it, while nearly 50% of Stalkers do.
  22. Then you can just stick to using trains, ferries, SG bases, and Ouroboros and only pick up the LRT accolades on characters with teleporter concepts, like you've been doing until now.
