I would think an AR or Beam Rifle/Ninjitsu Blaster would work best - you get gun attacks, sword attacks, and can dip into fighting for bare-handed combat. You also get the wrist dart, which is similar to what some Vahzilok and Knives of Artemis use. You could also delve into Sorcery or Force of Will, if you want to add a few non-weapon ranged attacks to your repertoire...
Great suggestion, but I have to point out that Beam and AR with ninjitsu both have the launch point for the projectiles at...your knee, rather than the actual weapon. Known bug.

I did do something about it. I made a suggestion in the suggestions and feedback forum, which to my knowledge is encouraged by the developers here.
And in the same amount of time, you could...move your mouse cursor.

The old "I have a sandwich, so you can't be hungry" excuse never works. When I'm on Excel it's a problem not just for me but for my family, friends and SG mates as well as others in the leagues I run with for iTrials and such. I get it, you don't see the problem. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Sure, I get that. If the issue is that *you* can't get out, and you're using the Ouro specifically for the mission access, that does suck but I don't know what to tell you. You can't control other people's behavior.
If you're using ouro for travel, just don't. Build a base with teleporters and deal.

IIRC, you play on the Indomitable shard, where iTrials are formed in Pocket D. On Excelsior (which has about six times the population of Indomitable), where iTrials are formed in Ouroboros, it's quite bad. People zone into Ouroboros for iTrials, and then don't move at all, making access to the Ouroboros exit extremely difficult. Sometimes, I would literally have to fly up and reach the exit from the top above everyone as getting to it from the ground was almost impossible.
Thankfully, I moved to the Torchbearer shard several months ago, where the majority of iTrials are formed in Pocket D and Dark Astoria. Occasionally, one is formed in Ouroboros, but due to the smaller shard population it isn't an issue.
Still, this definitely needs to be fixed for Excelsior and Everlasting.
Like...you can't just do a thing for specific servers. I am on Excel throughout the day and use ouro constantly, never once have I had an issue with it.

Stone melee, not armor.

In the time this post took, you could just...do the mission.

Because of this. 🧐

Why's that? I think it is functionally more or less about the same between scrappers and brutes (no high level tanks yet so I dunno about that one), but I'd guess scrappers are ahead on teams since they don't need to be attacked to hold fury and do more damage to begin with anyway. The real question is between scrappers and stalkers on a team. The team increase to stalker crit chance and the lack of danger for a stalker probably helps a good deal. It has got to be pretty close anyway.
Brutes are better for teams because of taunt and taunt auras, and punchvoke if that's still a thing. If you consider aggro management important for teaming.

How does the devs attempting to fix a bug assume that it's a bugohshit my brain just broke

Uhm, @battlewraith?
A "substantial commitment of development time to address somebody's gripe with their snipe animation, which is probably occurring while they're soloing a task force on a scrapper."
What, and I cannot stress this enough, the flaming pigeonshit does what @Bill Z Bubba is *doing* when he notices a bug have anything to do with anything?
It's either a legit bug or a poor design, and I've noticed similar things with Psi Blast while I'm masochistically leveling a Psi/FF corruptor through TFC. Projectile speeds are all wonky, which throws off damage hitting, which affects survivability (even on a scrapper).
Please roll up your e-peen, read the room, and bow out of this one gracefully because Bill is not someone who brings up things like this just to be an asshole.
EDIT: "bow," not "now"

Isn't "niche" sometimes a "sanitation supervisor"-esque way of misspelling "very bad plan?"

Most of what you're talking about there is about Regen specifically getting nerfed. That's independent of ED. But this specific statement I've isolated because it is completely ridiculous. Nobody slotted secondary effects before ED. Attacks were almost always slotted with 5 or 6 damage.
Lies! I totally not-joking slotted all my Energy/energy blaster attacks with nothing but knockback. Totally. 100%. Not one single damage SO, no siree!

To be even more specific, because I was an issue 4 baby: nobody had softcapped anything because that concept didn't exist. You didn't need it to because the only thing anybody slotted for was damage and recharge, maaaaybe an acc SO. Things died quickly, or you did. It was a very binary system and was very, very boring. Pull/herd, attack, move on. As a blaster, I would've been terrified to even snipe an additional spawn without the tank there to cover my ass.
Now? Well, you know what now looks like.

Welp. That definitely is something I have to say I've not witnessed. Funky dance moves.

Sounds like a fun powerset. Though I imagine you'd need a very good/expensive build for end game content given you'd have to get in the middle of mobs to cast powers.
Not really? The assumption that all builds for all ATs need some godlike level of set bonus survivability irks me a little. VenGas is melee yes, but your debuffs are so powerful they provide plenty of mitigation on their own. StrategyX positioning and tactics (philosophy, not power) are how hay is made on a squishy, not building for softcap and ignoring them. I use Envenom and weaken (procced of course) as part of my attack chain; unless there's a bunch of mezzing bosses in a spawn, they're debuffed to all hell and I can handle at my leisure. Min is paired with /Rad, which also wants you in close, and while I do faceplant occasionally that's part of the fun of playing a not-melee.

Poison... because it is a WRECKER and you literally don't even care if you *have* teammates, let alone having to do anything for them.

LFG tab, you can queue up an instanced Mothership Raid that uses its own instance of a modified RWZ so the 50-player cap on the regular zone instance doesn't get affected.

Tsk tsk, there you go having your own opinion . Don't you know you're not allowed to post anything that isn't group-think or contributing to the e-peen circle jerk?
Seriously though...why can't folks just *hear* what new players are saying? It feels like you go out of your way to make them feel unwelcome at times.
If you wanted to play alone in your sandbox then why spread the word that CoH is back?
I listen. In this particular instance I took offense to a grand generalized calling out of forum users as out of touch dickbags.

Any "it seems like this should be super easy" suggestion I can almost guarantee is the exact opposite, because this wonderful city is held together by bubblegum and spit.
