  1. Character customization is what I love.  No other game (except Champions, blech) allows me to create MY Nosferatu (or robotic lich!) in the game the way i see it, with powers that mostly make sense.  
     

    I would change Rage in Super Strength to a non crash non stackable. Or give the option the way some new changes allow one version of a power or another. (Dark Regen Melee…)

    they worked on smoothing out Rage.  The folks that double stack it (all fifteen of them) bitched so loud and long they dropped the whole project

    Seems a bit too good for a power pool power, it's basically identical to Shadow Slip which I assume was changed at the same time... Shouldn't something like this power be restricted to relevant AT's? Warshade, Grav control. I think the power cheapens the AT's who get teleport powers as part of their core power sets. The numbers assigned to Fold Space as we know it suggests someone wanted a very strong power out of Fold Space, nothing like most power pool powers that are shadows of what you would get on the right AT. I accept there are some outliers in power pools, like hasten.

    I think it would be nice to see control/support/hybrid AT's own the types of powers that maneuver mobs, whether it's Wormhole, Singularity, Telekinesis, Hurricane, Repulsion Field, the new black hole behaviour on beta, etc... hopefully we get more of these powers too as I think they're a ton of fun. Yes Fold Space is good on a tank but tanks have an incredible herding power in the game at their disposal: Taunt. Leave the crowd control to AT's it makes sense on. As a control/support I cannot get the equivalent of Taunt, but tankers and everyone else gets one of the strongest mob moving moves in the game. I do use provoke but it requires extra steps; out-range/LOS.

    Being devils advocate for a moment I think this power is fun (because it's powerful), and no one who uses it would want to lose it. It could lower peoples enjoyment of the game losing it, but that's the same with all nerfs. The people who enjoy using this power should simply play an AT that has it in a core power set if it were removed from the teleport power pool.

    compare and contrast that with Black Hole.  a tier 8 power in Dark Miasma which is a dog turd

    Here is an exact statement.  Crap that is LOWER than minions are going intangible.  I have found 3 examples in 20? hours play just grinding 30-34 content.  You really think these are the ONLY examples?  Oh, but you want me to test every mob in the game, give you a detailed list, then you can start lawyering that with excuses.

     

    The old Black Hole was crap.  Situationally useful once in hundreds of hours of gaming.  The new version of Black Hole is Dumb and Dumber toilet won't flush crap.  But you will continue to fawningly defend this stinker.  I use this power with a team on Discord.  they F-ing hate it.  And that is with us being able to discuss what is happening.  Imagine the joy of griefing PUGs, intentionally or most probably randomly.  Trying to figure out what is happening to what mobs and how to deal with it, in a text communication to people you do not know?  Priceless...

  7. Of all the vampires i have seen onscreen Willem Dafoe is just spot on perfect for Snarky in “Shadow of the Vampire”. Not only do I use him as my icon, but the characterization of Schrek was perfect. This was partially due to the script, but Herr Dafoe brought the perfect performance.  
     

    In particular the petty nature, short sightedness, and lack of curiosity about what anyone else is doing.  Partly, in my mind, due to selfishness. Yet also do to a complete lack of interest in anyone else.  All of this describes MY Snarky exactly. He wants what he wants (which may change at any time) and cares not at all about anything else.

    I am still (actually honestly) puzzled by the new Black Hole.  A Dev said that no minions should be intangible, but i have encountered DE emanators, swarm, and carnie strongmen who all go intangible.  And i have only been running 30-34 content with it.  Those cannot be the only examples.  Working as intended?  Not working as advertised. And honestly, really not working…

    i started my "solo every mission from every contact red/blue/gold" with my Dark Dark Corruptor (currently 34) on Mar 9.  now, i work full time and also do other things.  so, in almost 4 months i have completed all contacts and every single mission they offer that must be done 1-29. all blue 30-34, and starting red 30-34.  anything 30-50, or 30-39 will be done later.  

     

    i have done some teaming, almost every tf/sf/trial that is available based on level (missing a tv2) and random badging and fun stuff on teams.  

     

    villains defeated 61,438

    damage inflicted 8,301,375

    damage taken 1,209,497

    tasks completed 1,728

    tasks failed 4

    3,657 reward merits

    40 prismatic aethers

    9 mostrous aether

    1,098 badges

     

    i know there are some missions i have missed, when a 30-34 contact has 1-2 missions to give only to 30-32.  F-ing blueside....   but i have tried to get every single mission, not just story arcs.  on "endless" contacts i do enough to turn the status to "kindred", then move on.  i believe i have done about 99.9% of available missions, but i know i have done 99%+ of them.  it may only be 99.7% though...

     

    I have just started red 30-34, have all 35-39, 30-39, 40-44, 25-50. 30-50 etc, and all 50 content to go.  there are almost 200 contacts in my sheet to go.  80%+ offer a large number of missions.  some depressingly large.  not on my list but probable in the future are pvp zone missions, and the SSD, WWD arcs.  there are, if you could meticulously track them all, probably 5-10,000 missions in the game.

    Btw, im not arguing, im expressing what i see and how the leveling progression feels being a returning but realy very inexperienced newcomer.

    In my opinion there is no harm in improving the leveling experience/progression and making it feel much smoither, make the acquisition of new powers and taggles feel more exiting instead of problematic due to excessive endurance damands. 

     

    I found a lot of good suggestions in this thread and good information on these forums in general.

     

    Mostly, im ammused by a lot of the responses, by how people like to get agressive and arque, how passionate players are about tgeir game, fighting ageist any suggestions of a change and I'm willing to bet 95% of them havent taken 5 minuts to actually think about what the game would feel like to play if these proposed changes actually happened. 

     

    Another think that surprises me, is how long this threat has become lol.

    I guess i did the right thing stirring things up and creating some side entertainment for a few at least hopefully.

     

    Personally, im only here because im at work and wont be home for another 2 weeks before i get a chance to play and make some slotting adjustments.

     

    So reading what you fine folk have to say is all i get 3 weeks out of the month followed by 7 days of actual play.

    I have thought about it.  It would suck.  But, please, keep tilting at those windmills

    I have tanked Lord Recluse in Ms Liberty TF Master runs twice with this, successfully.  That is due to not neglecting energy resistance.  

     

    At least one person has told me they died all the time with this build.  I found it incredibly Tanky.

     

    I run all the toggles, all the time.  

     

    Darkest Night is the cherry on the dark sundae.  Being a AoE Taunt and debuff.

     

    i have had great luck with it.  this is not rewritten for any changes to Dark that were just made
