Blinks. What? No! No, no, noooo… I was asking about the horrid rooms because…. That is so beautifully wonderful. DRAMA. All great stories are built on drama. If all of our environments were candy coated perfect the game would be… so much less. It is in these terrible rooms, these horrid maps, that we must achieve…. I do not know? Exp? Random hami drop? The love of our friends? Having Snarky ask you to give him inf? THIS IS THE PLACE IT HAPPENS! The drama, the beautiful struggle in this miserable world. Whether by design or tragic incompetence we have been given these treacherous places to strive to achieve our goals. I, for one, give thanks.

We have heard suggestions for a pvp server. We see requests for a gold server. i think there should be a pvp gold server. That is where the crowds are!

There is a top in every game. go check. I will wait. See? i told you. City of Villains.. and heroes... has a top level of 50 plus incarnates. That has not changed in a very long time. Yet it still matches EVERY other game. It has a pinnacle. Adding further powers and abilities without content to challenge those players who get them is actually a disservice to the game and community. writing a lot of content that is significantly above where incarnate content is now would require serious amount of time and effort from many people. the HC staff is all volunteer. -

99% time you do not die to the crash. you stop having fun. every two minutes. school crossing guard comes out, train track arms come down, someone pours ice water on you. then you are fine again. go ahead, have fun. you have two minutes.

I stopped playing Super Strength in game. And i lift weights, so I have a lot of cool super strength concepts. Oh well. Not all of my concepts go into manic depression every two minutes I would leave Rage as it is. THEN add a second version of the power that is non stackable non crash. A toggle. Like they did with the Dark Armor heal. There might be some other details to smooth. But this is a thought experiment. I mean, who could have believed they would make Black Hole worse? Yet there it is. Not useful for the edge cases it was once good for, not usable on teams. (Die to random intangibles that are hard to describe on Discord, impossible in a pug)

Update! Just finished all content through level 34. Blue took... forever... 1,107 Badges. 65,360 enemies defeated. 1,811 missions done Reward Merits = 3.810 The next section is all 30-39 and 35-39 content which should finish out non 50 gold as well I did miss a couple missions on a Blue contact that offered odd side missions at 30-32. Blue is weird. I am sad about that. But I am sad about many things. I trudge on up the mountain of ridiculousness! i know i am at 99% completion rate of all missions offered through these ranges, not just arcs, but everything.

Ice/dark corr is fully ranged. It leverages two AoE DoT (one a nuke!) on top of Tar patch. Solid ST damage. Fearsome Stare. Darkest Night ranged targeted AoE debuff, and Fluffy. it is a sweet mix. add some +range bonuses and intuition alpha for +range/+dam..... very wicked stand away from combat and F stuff up

the entire ice thang should do slows. agreed my "dream" combo is ice blast/dark manip corr but i just cannot get away from this vampire on my back!

The key to the corkscrew cave is simple, well for me. But it was hard to figure it out at first. Say you are coming from below. You loop up and the structure bends right. There are some side bulges, but really it is up and rightwards. Then it opens up. As it opens just continue the upwards and rightward curve, and turn harder. The cave door should be right there. When coming the opposite way it can be harder if you don’t realize what map it is. But you just reverse the motion heading slightly down and left to the wall then follow that down the tunnel this is similar to the “heart valve” clusterfrack in CoT, very often found in respec trial. The trick there, in either direction, is to hang to the outside. The rest of the slopes and tunnels are dead ends. I call it a heart valve because on the map overlay it looks sorta similar to a heart with all the tubes cut and just held out.

My personal favorite is the Arachnos Reactor room with ramps and elevators that is about 17 stories tall. There is the layer cake room. The Council pool room. The cave that snakes back around on too of itself in a corkscrew. Any others? Post what you think are the worst!

The worst is the Arachnos Reactor room. This is the one that us about 17 stories tall. Has ramps, elevators in room. If you need to kill all in there or find a specific mob in there it is not fun.

Letting go of Def and giving in to the concept

I find myself building “outside the box” since starting Blasting. ”The box” is Blapper, which is the core design of the Blaster sets. So, I have built all range things. Beam/temp, Elec/Temp, or AR/Dev. Then, instead of a cookie cutter build, build a TON of +range. Old school ww2 battleship tactics. Avoid most damage bu standing away from it. Then hammer the opponent. My current Dark Dark Dark Corruptor does not build for defense. That is inside it’s debuffs. (Get that Fear out first!) and then +range. (Lot of cones…). Yes, it is a Blapper because that is Dark Dark. But anytime I can sit outside the scrum and hose down everything with cones i do. Then use Nuke very tactically, and heal the team only when it is necessary to stay up. Harass and abuse, while debuffing the schmucks. Have the targeted AoE debuff for toughest fights. This keeps me alive. (Along with team heal and st heal). It is a very fun strategy that takes patience and understanding, but it is not helped substantially by destroying what i made for softcap defense, and i would argue is hindered by doing so. -

This is thankfully untrue. But, …. A GREAT many of the “over 10k missions” are “hunt 20 of X”. A large number of them are “kill all” on maps we know very well. (Or you will if you attempt doing all 10k…). Gold has some cool tricks. Most i honestly do not like, some are very nice. But Gold as a whole I do not enjoy due to the political emphasis. The stories are well told, and if I could run it as unaligned somehow my hatevmight dissipate. Or at least be assigned there by Kalinda as some deep spy…

Character customization is what I love. No other game (except Champions, blech) allows me to create MY Nosferatu (or robotic lich!) in the game the way i see it, with powers that mostly make sense. I would change Rage in Super Strength to a non crash non stackable. Or give the option the way some new changes allow one version of a power or another. (Dark Regen Melee…)

they worked on smoothing out Rage. The folks that double stack it (all fifteen of them) bitched so loud and long they dropped the whole project

If they touch SS they will ruin it. They are smart enough to know it. I nod in approval yet watch warily
