Hell yeah!! I’m proud of y’all. This has always been a tremendous hobby, but you guys made it a day-to-day lifestyle and the hard work has paid off!! ❤️

I got in for the first time! Thanks for keeping Paragon (and the Isles) alive.

Sorry, never went back to this. I chose Duel Pistols w/ Dev and really like it through level 28.
-
It wasn't necessarily an "I don't like this, I'm intentionally stopping," but it just fell by the wayside as I'm a bit altoholic and must have started something I was enjoying more. BUT - I mean, Web Grenade, Caltrops, Taser - They're not the most spectacular powers. And last I tried, Taser was a single target Stun, I think? I know it's something different now.

I am a longtime Blaster who has never gotten a /Devices over level 10. I'm looking to finally give it a real college try - What should be my preferred pairing? I'm leaning Beam Rifle of Dual Pistols for the Tech theme, but will consider other options (as long as I haven't played them to death already).

New Powersets and Changes for Dominators in Page 4
ChrisMoses replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Dominator
Now that Symphony Control and Sonic Assault have made it to Live, what combos are people intrigued by? For Doms, I was thinking Symphony/Stone (but that's probably my bias with a character name in mind), or Symph/Psi (though it sounds like Symph pairs better with a stronger range set). For Sonic Assault, I liked the idea of the new Ice control with it, Darkness is intriguing, but I wouldn't be surprised if Fire Control is once again the belle of the ball. Speaking to Controllers, I like Symphony/Kinetics or /Storm. I think /Sonic is probably good also, but I've never been able to get into that set. Thoughts? -
Hi, I haven't read the thread yet, sorry don't have the time at the moment. I just wanted to ask my question and maybe someone will be kind enough to reply before I'm afforded the opportunity to scroll through it all. I created two names two days ago, named I intended to use for new Symphony characters when the issue released. Lo and behold, it's here! I go to delete my placeholder characters to create my Symphonies, and... Name unavailable. It happened once "wow, crazy coincedence," but then it happened again... When you delete a name, does it somehow become unabailable for a period? Does it alert someone who tried to create with that name? How could they both be IMMEDIATELY unavailable upon deletion?!

Should I skip the last three powers in /Elec?
ChrisMoses replied to Neogumbercules's topic in Blaster
Power Sink is mostly skippable, though you'll want it for the rare chances fighting END drainers. I have it, though it's a late addition. My playstyle is jumping in and out of melee range as the situation dictates. Check out my build. Looks like the Long Forum Export on Mids is the perpetrator. Thanks!

While I think Lightning Field full of Procs would be fun, it PROBABLY isn't worth that investment in a practical sense. So I went with a totally practical build that is fun and survivable, but I still miss some of the "fun," more utility powers (Havoc Punch, Epic/Patron powers). I'm trying to post a Mids build in the Blaster forums and continuously getting this error: [[Template forums/front/topics/topic is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] Mids is up to date.

Blasters have been my favorite AT since issue 1, beginning purely as a Range-only + way too many power pool powers before finding the love of blapping. Even upon embracing the melee attacks, I never took the respective damage auras; the cost/benefit analysis just never made sense to me. However, I want it to! I have a rather survivable Water/Elec Blaster to which I'm looking to add Lightning Field, but I had a few questions: Is Tough/Weave basically required for adding a Damage Aura? That's fine I don't mind, I just assumed that was the case. Lightning Field seems like a perfect Proc machine. What immediately jumped out to me was the Power Transfer Heal Self, the Avalanche Knockdown, and the Fury of the Gladiator Resistance Debuff. Any others I may be neglecting besides the assortment of damage procs? Finally and most importantly, is the added aggro of a damage aura "worth it"? If I'm using it with the intention of adding primarily survivability procs, am I defeating the purpose?
