Attuned enhancements questions

So I have a couple questions about Attuning enhancements.

 

First, if I attune a level 50 only enhancement (like Hecatomb), I can use it pre-50?

 

Second, if i attune a lower level enhancement (like Kinetic Combat) will it scale up base max level - which I think is 35 or so?

If I'm not mistaken, the purple enhancements already act like attuned enhancements. At least the bonuses will stay with you, if not the enhancement values (scaled, I think)

 

And, yes, the attuned enhancement will scale up to the max level of the set.

Attuning a purple recipe is a waste of a catalyst. Firstly, you still need to be level 50 to use it, since that is the minimum level of the set, secondary, as Twisted mentions, they already act like they're attuned.

 

If you bought one pre-attuned...don't worry about it unless you're looking to boost it...but don't go out of your way to attune them yourself.

No. If you buy an attuned one from the AH you will not be able to slot it until 50

 

And yes. Lower level attuned level up with you but cap at the max level available for the IO.

If you accidentally bought an Attuned purple, use an Unslotter to pop it out, sell it, and buy a non-Attuned version, and Boost it. The set bonuses will still exemplar down with you, but the enhancements will be a little more effective.
