A small turnout but fun time for Tanker Tuesday on Indomitable tonight. There were two teams running, with thank to @wittylibrarian for starting off the mission team.  The Stone Armor challenge ran a speedy Moonfire TF to start and then faced down Neuron & Antimatter (thanks to @MsAligned for that mission) and then merged the teams and ended the night with a few radios and ToT doors. And congratulations to @Waraxe and @Xterra for getting their Stone Armor tanks up to 50 tonight!

Next Tanker Tuesday event will be this Saturday, November 1st, on Victory. 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Miss Lib and Sewer Trial will still be the WST

November 4th TT will return to Excelsior. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Citadel TF and Eden Trial will be the WST. The Energy Aura challenge tanks will continue there, I believe they are at Synapse or Yin in the TFC run.  Excel is always a busy server, so volunteers to lead teams are always required and appreciated. If you have something special you would like to run or would like lead an all tanker team, please let me know.

- December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. We will require a number of tanks with a few hold powers for the green mitos. Additional temp powers like Golden Rings and Taser Dart are also helpful. If a few tankers want to bring Warburg nukes as well, that would be a bonus.

...and we had a blast, whipping through that Moonfire in 43 min.  We also found Jack-in-Irons, near the exit on the next to last Moonfire mish, so after vanquishing Arakhn, we went back and pounded on him for the extra merits.  Great fun and many levels were had by all.  Thanks to @Ronin_Around for leading, sorry I missed the last few radios but congrats to the new 50s!

It was a fun night on Excelsior to start off the new month of Tanking. The night started off with a surprise visit from a Kronos Titan deciding to invade Kings Row right near a bunch of tankers. Then there were four teams running tonight with many thanks to Omniscius (@Velmos) for taking the lead of the Citadel TF,  @FatherCronos for leading a very speedy Eden Trial and to @ZemX for putting the mission team through its paces. The Energy Aura challenge tankers took on the Synapse TF and got it done just over the line in 1:48.

Next Tanker Tuesday will be November 11 on Torchbearer. Ernesto Hess TF and Lady Grey TF will be the WST. Meet up in Kings Row on the wall. 6:00 pm PT /9:00 pm ET start time.

Saturday November 15th will be the Euro run on Reunion. Same WST. STart time is 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm CET

- December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. A busy night of tanking on Torchbearer tonight. Lots of moving parts at the start, so my apologies to all if something got missed.  There were four teams running tonight, with a Lady Grey TF, 2 Hess TFs and a mission team running. The tankers also assisted on a couple of Rikti Invasions in PI and Skyway.

Many thanks to Cornet aka @Rasset for leading the first Hess TF, to Nachtfels aka @Global Friend for leading the Lady Grey TF and to @MsAligned for taking the mission team tonight.

This Saturday morning, Nov 15th, will be our stop by Reunion. Hess and LGTF will still be the WST. 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET.

Next Tuesday, November 18th, Tanker Tuesday will be back on Everlasting. Usual time of 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Manticore and Sutter TFs will be the WST. Electric Melee challenge will be running the Numina TF to finish off the TFC accolade for those tankers, please be 35+ to join in with that group.

- December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. T'was a fun time on Reunion today. Six tankers ran through the Dark Astoria arcs of Mu'Vorkan and Max at +4x8 and had a grand old time with many an incarnate foe trounced.

Next Tanker Tuesday will be Nov 18th on Everlasting, 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Manticore and Sutter TFs will be the WST. Electric Melee challenge tankers will be running the Numina TF. Meet up in Kings Row by the IP Gate.

- December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. If there is any content you would like to run with an all tank team on TT, please post it in the thread and we will try and get that coordinated with you.

Volunteers to lead teams for Tanker Tuesday are always appreciated!

A good night for tanking on Everlasting tonight with three teams running.  Many thanks to @wittylibrarian for leading the mission team and to @PapaSlade for leading the Manticore TF.  Five other Electric Melee challenge tankers joined me in scouring the city for villains on a Numina TF which resulted in 3 of us gaining the Task Force Commander accolade. Next month that challenge will move on to Tina Mac/Maria Jenkins arc to fight Praetorian AVs.

The next Tanker Tuesday will be Nov 25th on Indomitable. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row. Moonfire TF (23+) and the Market Crash Trial (40+) will be the WST.

The Stone armor challenge will be running as well and should be finishing up by the end of the year. Most of them should be over 40 so may run a MC trial if the team thinks we can pull it off or will continue the MJ arc.

Fun run on the Manti, even with my usual mediocre TF leadership.  Good group of Tanks rolled thru like pro's.  Appreciate @Xterra helping to wrangle mobs and the occassional stray Paragon Protector.

IT was a small but hardy turn out for Tanker Tuesday on Indomitable with 2 teams running. Many thanks to @Xterra for leading the mission team and getting some levels for the new low level tanks. (heard rumours that she and Witty had a dueling defeat challenge going on). And thanks to @PLVRIZR for leading the Stone Armor challenge tanks through the brand new "The Golden Rule" TF in Kallisti Wharf. It was an experience for sure, which we finished with 62 defeats in 1:44 along with getting one of the Nemesis clones bugged and needing a GM to get them unstuck.  Was an interesting run though and good to do something new on the first day.

Next week Tanker Tuesday will be on Excel on December 2nd 6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET and on Victory on Saturday December 6th, 10:00 am PT/ 1:00 pm ET. Numina and Katie Hannon will be the WST. The Energy Aura Tank Challenge will be runnnign on Excel, I think they are at the Yin or Citadel stage. Other suggestions are also welcome.

And what an honor to be chosen to lead the first-ever Zoe TF on a TT.  NONE of us had any idea what to expect, other than the "I heard there were a lot of AVs" from a member of the team and we all checked to see how many daggers we had in inventory.  Special thanks to @Pep Rally for switching toons and, even though they switched to be tall enough to join, they were instrumental in the damage output for the TF.  My stone armor challenge tank has Titan Weapon as the secondary, and this TF reminded me how it's not the ideal damage output choice (and being so sloooooooooooooooow)...

Having said that, we did encounter around 10 AVs and a newly classified "Super Archvillain" Nemesis...along with uncountable Elite Bosses.  A fun mix of classic maps and it felt like a mashup of a Frostfire/Hollows, KW/Warriors (replaced with Nems), Recluse/CoV maps with a final Nemesis underground train...all elevated to 40+.  And I warn you, even at +2 (and eventually +1), non-incarnated tanks are going to struggle.  A full team of Rad tanks would have had an easier time, as at one point, we were fighting 5 AVs at once.

Special shout-out to @GM Lyc for un-sticking an AV for us, allowing us to finish the final mission.  Great times and LOTs of levels were had, even for those of us that were 50+.  If you haven't tried this new TF out, you should!

  • Thanks 1

Not sure how much interest there would be, but I have a 50 just about to start the MJ Praetorian AV arc. Was thinking of speeding through it at -1, just for the Dimensional Warder credit, not so much for exp though.

Running through the MJ arc is always a good option for a mission team to do, since any level can join in and most people won't object to crossing a few AVs off the list.  The mission team lead can always set the difficulty and inform the team of  the pace they want to set.  If that was something you wanted to run this week, will mark you down as a mission team lead for the event tonight then.

Well an interesting start to TT. Due to my recent absence from the game, I didn't realize they had changed the Winter Lord's Realm event so much... I guess it's good thing lower the number of required league members (16 now), but I do miss having events that a whole league can participate in. I'm also not sure the new mechanics of the scenario are more enjoyable than the previous version. My vote would be to keep both version, one for larger group and this current one for smaller... oh well..

We basically had four teams tonight on Excel. I was busy with all kinds of things and didn't catch all the team lead names (forgive me). Feel free to call out if you were one, or if you were on a team and remember your leader's name or call sign. WL Realm was a 50/50 success. One team was able to take him down, one team could only manage to get him to 30% before time ran out. Next time WL! Next time... After the WL fun we were off to missions. Thanks again to all Team leads (call out if you were one).

Next week we're back on Torch. See you all then!

Nothing warms your opponent like Fiery Melee.

Not bad for all tanker teams most of whom didn't know what they were doing (including me!).  Towards the end someone mentioned we should have kept WL away from the crystals so that we could immediately pull spawners away.   I think we want maybe two tanks ranging around pulling in herds of spawners towards the melee against the WL (assuming they can be taunted away from the crystals, that is).   We were too spread out on league 1 and so we didn't have focused fire on WL most of the time.  If everyone knows where they're supposed to be and only those designated to pull run off, we can keep more firepower on the WL more consistently.  I noticed, btw, that my Vanguard HVAS lasted a LOT longer than my Incarnate Lore, for whatever that is worth.  It might be a good idea to pick up an HVAS for those of us with heaps and gobs of Rikti Merits.  Especially the non-Incarnate members of the league.

One thing that did confuse me is how "Winter Essence" works.  I was wondering why he had an essence bar when no minions were near a crystal and it seems it's because the Guardians add their HP to the meter too, up to 50%.  But the essence bar does nothing for WL if it stays below 100% other than cause spawns to run towards the nearest crystal every 30 seconds when essence is below 75%.  So as long as we're keeping the meter from reaching 100%, we can be focused on hurting the WL, switching only to, as quickly as we can, down the Guardians when they appear.

In that sense, this is really still a lot like the original one where you focus on the WGs when they appear at the 75, 50, and 25 points.  The added wrinkle is keeping essence below 100% by pulling spawners away from crystals (or ideally preventing them from reaching them in the first place).  Keeping it from ever reaching 100 is also worth a badge, btw.  I guess we especially need to be concerned when approaching the 75, 50, and 25 points that essence is not too high because the WG will add a BIG chunk when it spawns.

Anything else we can do to boost damage for the WL bangers is probably good.  Assault Hybrid.  SS Ragers.  Red insps.  Bad attitudes.  You know, the usual.  We'll get him next time.  Grats to League 2!

Missed last night due to IRL conflicts, apologies for that, glad to see @Warboss was there to herd the cats in my absence.

I wasn't aware that they had changed the Lord Winter's Realm trial that much, can give that another go on one of the other TT runs.  The breakdown from @ZemX  should help for future reference. One note on the Vanguard HVAS, once summoned, they will persist until you leave the zone or they are destroyed, so if a few tanks that are focused on LW pop those at the beginning, along with a barrier or rebirth or two, they should stick for the entire fight.

This Saturday is the regular Victory TT run. Meet up in KR, 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET

I would take exception to that comparison, but I have to chase a laser pointer and bat a toy mouse around for a while. Meow.

Seriously, hope all is well and conflicts are sorted, Ronin.

A small but fun run today on Victory. We had 8 tanks that gathered in Kings Row to take out a pair of Winter Lords and three Paladins before heading out to Cimerora to run the Sister Solaris DA arc at +5x8. Lot of levels are good rewards received. We then finished off with a couple of Unai missions and another Winter Lord in PI.  Next run on Victory will be January 3rd.

Next TT is December 9th on Torchbearer. 6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET. Meet in Kings Row. Cavern Trial and Dr Kahn will be the WST.

- December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. It was a good night of Tanking on Torchbearer tonight. We had 3 teams running with a big thank you to  @JakllynHyde for volunteering and leading some of the mid-level tankers through a Manticore TF in a reported 1:11;49, and many thanks to @Agoogala for running the mission team. A bunch of the high level tanks joined me on a Zoe Langston TF, with helpful pointers being provided to the team by @Anyad, We ran it as a regular run, not a Starred run, so we missed out on some of the extras that would have contributed to the Master of badge, Once more people get familiar with the TF I have no doubt we could easily pull off an all tanker Master of run of the TF though.

Next week we will be on Everlasting on Tuesday Dec 16th (6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET) and on Reunion on Saturday Dec 20th (9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET 5:30 pm CET).

It will be Respec week, so expect at least a few team heading into Terra Volta. On Everlasting, the Electric Melee challenge will continue on with the Tina Macintyre arc, and looking to get through to Antimatter.  There is no challenge running or set plan is in place fro Reunion at this time, suggestions for either of those on Reunion are welcome.

And it is getting closer,  December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time 6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET.  We will be running in the Abyss.  Time to make sure your preferred tank for that is ready. Our team leads for the raid are mostly set, and we are still searching for the appropriate victim... err Main Tank for Hamidon. A Dark/Dark tank with T4s would be an excellent candidate. Speak up if you have one or feel you have an alternate that is tough enough for this task.

We will require a number of tanks with a few hold powers for the green mitos. Additional temp powers like Golden Rings and Taser Dart are also helpful. If a few tankers want to bring Warburg nukes as well, that would be a bonus.

For a specialized raid such as this, it is important for all participants to know that is will not be fast or uneventful like some of the regular server runs. Things may go wrong, you may die a lot (even more than Witty normally does), chances of a failure are non-zero. Everyone will need to listen to instructions given by the Raid Leader and follow the designated strike team leads. Hamidon has been defeated many a time by many a hero, doing it with just a bunch of tankers is a different kind of feat. Be prepared and willing to do whatever is needed and we will be successful in this attempt.
