History doesn't always come up

Sometimes an item's history won't turn up in the auction house--it just continues to say, "Retrieving item history..." Are their any strategies or workarounds for dealing with this annoyance?

I normally bid 1 inf on the item, and then once it is in the "Bidding" tab, click "Find" and it should reliably retrieve the history. Every now and then it may require a couple of clicks of the "Find" button, but usually one will do it.
