Lost Ninja
I slot the 5 enhancements from the P2W at around lvl4/6. I then manage on those (plus the buffs also from the P2W) to hit lvl22 when I fully slot with common level 25 IOs (plus -knockback if the character needs one and I have something lying around). I then respec/reslot with level 35 IO at 32. And from that point on I look for uniques & procs for the build as I level it. At 47/50 I do another respec and fully slot with level 50 commons and any sets (@ 50) that I have already found. If it's a character I enjoy playing I will hunt down a full build of sets minus any ATO or Purples. I try to flesh the build out as much as I can without such things. I'd have to know that the character is going to both need them and be played a huge amount to invest what is needed. My accounts are not poor, and with /AH farming and my near complete AE farmer I don't have any real worries about Inf, but I like building alts so just spending inf on something isn't something I enjoy... I wish ATOs were available through normal content (as drops) as opposed to farming to buy loot boxes. I know it's just a matter of tinkering and balancing, testing out an idea and seeing what you end up with. In-game you can type /buildsave and it will save to your CoH/(username)/Builds folder. If you do download Mids (go to the tools forum right below general and it has a sticky and first post is updated with most recent version) you can then go to File>open>(browse to your CoH/(username)/Builds folder and open it. You cannot use /buildsave and pick a filename so it will overwrite itself every time you use it. I have tried renaming the file but then it won't load into Mids properly, not sure what I did wrong. Just load it into mids then save it as whatever filename you want and it wont matter. There isn't a /buildload in game 😞

There isn't a /buildload in game 😞 Try /build_save_file <filename> Doesn't seem to like absolute paths and at least for me it was placed in <coh_root>\<acount_name>\Builds as a text file. edit: However for me I just get an error on load (Blame Sai!). I have the current release. Edited October 17, 2019 by Lost Ninja

I find myself just making builds in Mids just for the fun of it. Utilize the Search options when looking for specific sets. And keep in mind, just because you're using a specific set doesn't mean you're locked into that set for any specific power. You can have two partial IO sets in 1 power. If the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th set do you no good, but you need more out of that power, add a 2nd set that boosts something else. I always (try to) post slash commands with the underscores so that people who aren't familiar with them can see the separate words easier, personally I always leave off the underscores and where possible use the occasional short version of the command. In my own binds/macros the only time I use underscores is in power names, so that when you run into a command that tarkes multiple arguments it doesn't think Hot and Feet are separate arguments... 😄

Too many quotation marks can get fuzzy sometimes. From a different angle, some of the powers actually have the underscore in their name, but that's mostly when you're using the power file name.
