Cosmetic surgeon NPC for base

I've been told that a cosmetic surgeon (edit height, build, etc.) can be added to the base.  I've been assured that the Facemaker NPC does the job.  However, I've tried two different bases with the Facemaker and neither one will edit the body.

 

Can anyone help?

You have been misinformed.  You can get icon employees in the base but they are just regular ones, they can't perform the cosmetic surgeon changes.  That is not available in the base AFAIK.

Maybe there is some reason your character could not adjust height, body, etc. Level, perhaps?

That person is incorrect. There are only the basic Icon/Facemaker NPCs that can't change your current body type.

To restate, I misunderstood what you were looking for. Major changes like gender, body build, etc. currently do not have an NPC in place for base use that I am aware of. However, you can adjust some items with your character, which is what I thought were you asking about. Sorry for the confusion.
