Having a great time with this combo, sitting at 34 now with a patron badge if I should need it. I've built for all the necessary perma-goodies. I'm stuck on an EPP/PPP choice - considering //Mace and //Psi.

Mace gets me some more defenses (still nowhere near capping anything) and another perma pet, but I'm basically stuck taking Clarion Destiny. Psi gives me just-barely-perma Indomitable Will, which I believe makes Clarion unnecessary, and some resists.

1. Does IW work the way I think it does, i.e. between it and AM I should never be mezzed again?

1a. If it doesn't, is it still worth it? Or is there a better EPP than Psi I should be evaluating against Mace instead?

2. How good is the Tarantula summon from Mace?

3. Also re: Mace... Poisonous Ray or Disruptor Blast?

Indomitable Will is a Magnitude-based mez protection power. AM is Mez Duration Resistance. So basically, AM will shorten the amount of time you are mezzed, where IW will stop most mez effects from applying in the first place, unless they get stacked or the magnitude is above 10. Also note that even if you get IW and Hasten perma, you'll still need to manually reactivate at least one of those powers, as you can only autofire one at a time. However, this isn't too huge of an issue. I just pop it when I'm about to face something that I know has a hold or sleep power, or deals mostly psionic damage.

I don't have anything to say about Mace Mastery, as I've never tried it.

My advice would be to hit up Pineapple (the test server), use the cheat code to get yourself to 50, and try both builds. Slot them up (everything is free on Test), do a mission, and see what feels right. If they both seem equally awesome... well, you have 3 builds on a character at level 50, and purples aren't as insanely expensive as on Live, so I think having both would be feasable!

Thanks for the IW advice. I keep forgetting about using the test server. As far as manually clicking goes, I've already got Hasten on auto and have to try and remember to pop AM when it's up. Not sure how I'll manage yet another click on top of that and PA...

There was a guide from June or July for Dominators about how to set up keybind files so that Hasten and Domination alternate being the auto-execute power. It would be possible to extend that concept to alternate between three powers as the auto-execute power.

One thought is the Mez shield in Mystic Flight... it works reactively as a break free or proactively like IW.  I'm not sure if it's perma-able or not but it might be something to think about as it opens up more options for your APP/PPP selection.

As I recall I went with the Psi pool on my Ill/Rad on Live but I don't still have the exact build and could be confusing it with a different 'troller; I played 4 of them back then.

I'm always forgetting the new pools. I'd have to look and see if there's enough in it to replace dropping the flight pool and the two LotG mules it offers.

As an Illusion character I would be mightily tempted by the Mace Mastery pool. The blasts in there are slow, but they debuff Resistance, which is exactly what Illusion wants. You also get an extra pet out of it, which works well, because your Army will draw aggro away from it so it can survive to do damage.
