arkieboy72472 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I was making a character as an homage to a show my kids and I like, Avatar the last air bender and I wanted to make a master earthbender. I tried an earth sonic controller but it just didn’t sit right besides the power liquify. At least there was an earth mastery. So I figure I would try an earth earth dom. I don’t need some of the powers like the sleep or the mud pots yet so I get high enough and I look at the dominator epics (I dislike the patrons and they don’t fit theme) and no earth. Is there a way to make more epics for the sets so that there are more options? The standard power picks seem to be equal through out...you get a shield and some extra stuff. what are the chances ever of earth for earth doms and some more choices? 5
Alchemystic Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 (edited) So far there are only 2 Ancillary powersets yet to be proliferated to their partnered archetypes, and that's Munitions Mastery for Masterminds and Stone Mastery for Dominators. I think Munitions Mastery could work on Masterminds with minimal changes, maybe something like this; - Body Armor - Cryo Freeze Ray - Flamethrower (from Assault Rifle) - LMR Missile - Fortification (From Arachnos Soldier) As for Stone Mastery? There are few earth powers that Doms don't already have access to, so perhaps this; - Ash Fall (Talons of Vengeance power) - Fault - Rock Armor - Rooted - Earth's Embrace I had a few ideas to post in my 'Power Recycling' thread in regards to creating completely new Ancillary Powersets though, I could post them here if you prefer 😃 Edited February 8, 2020 by Tyrannical 1 1

Flame Mastery was added to Corruptors/Defenders, possibly by the Homecoming Team. Edit: Also, I LOVE the idea of a SCAR mastery which would let melee classes have some legit firearm powers (I mean just because my guy's supposed to specialize in his CQC doesn't mean he's helpless at a range) also, I would suggest maybe Bayonet for the Sentinel Rifle mastery be switched for Pummel since the animation and concept is more universally applicable to assault rifle models. Communistpenguin Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 While I would love a pet on some of my characters, i think that is going a bridge too far. Pets are typically a signature power of the class the come from, not a gap filling power like APPs are supposed to be.

Communistpenguin Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 1) Incarnate stuff are OP by design, and generally more damage focused 2) patron power pets are generally not the same as MM/controller/Dom pets. they are much more damage focused than sing/Jack A blaster with singularity would be crazy. Sing could absorb the alpha strike, the blaster could then unleash their crashless nuke, while sing tanks and holds any left over from the blasters alpha while the blaster mopped up. 1
