I had an interesting idea, something that could have been, but I'm not actually asking for, because it's so crazy.

What if Warshade and Peacebringer had been MODIFIERS to existing Archetypes?

Like, if you roll Peacebringer or Warshade you also pick another class (perhaps out of a limited selection) and choose DPS or Tank.

So, for example:

I choose Warshade, and I choose Corruptor, and I choose DPS.

I get Umbral Blast as a primary and a Corruptor secondary of my choosing.

Another example:

Let's say I choose Peacebringer, and I choose Scrapper, and I choose Tank.

I get a Scrapper attack set of my choosing, and Luminous Aura secondary.

CRAZY, I know.

Well, what does the lore say regarding how Kheldians "work"?  Is it possible that they seek hosts who aren't otherwise inclined/empowered to otherwise be heroes?  There have been a lot of ideas floating around to allow 1 character to play multiple archetypes, and while I'm all for shapeshifters, such an ability may be too good or otherwise not worthwhile at all...

Problem with the idea is how to balance not just damage modifier, but max damage, hp, resistance cap, defence and resistance, status prot, resistance and debuff resistance without making it better than existing archetypes.

Aside from balance issues, the problem I see with that idea is it strips Kheldians of their unique identity.  Shapeshifting classes in RPGs are typically designed to imitate the rolls of some other classes without overshadowing them.  The tradeoff for not being as good in a particular role as a more specialized class is the ability to perform said role adequately in addition to others.  That combination makes the shapeshifter its own thing instead of just an imitation of a specialist class.

Giving Khelds a straight up copy of another AT's primary or secondary would make them less of their own AT and more of a watered down version of whatever other class the player chose.
